1.5 TB external DRIVE not recognized on various laptops disk

Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me.

I bought my 1.5 terrabyte toshiba external hard drive just for more than a year. It works fine on my other computer, laptop and cell phone from my boyfriend, but when I joined four other new laptops (all different brands) recently it was not recognized at all on these laptops.

Is there something wrong with my outside or something on these computers it prevents to be recognized? Do you know how I can fix this problem?

Thank you very much!

Hello

And if you connect the external HARD drive to your boyfriend s computer laptop, everything is always ok? Only problems with new laptops?

Well that s really strange have you tried another USB cable and different USB ports?

Maybe on the new laptops the antivirus or firewall blocks access to the external hard drive. Check your security software and to allow external devices.

  • External drive not recognized

    Hi all

I unplugged a USB external drive for a few days of my Netgear RN102. Now, when I've reconnected, the Nas does not recognize the disc. The data is safe, if I connect the drive directly to a PC, I see all the folders and files.

Is there a way to see the drive on the NAS without erasing it?

    Thank you

    Marcello

    Indicate your logs

volume is dirty and 'force' flag is not set

If you hang the external drive to your PC and fix you should be able to then reconnect to the NAS.

  • Toshiba 1 TB drive external DRIVE not recognized anymore

    Hello

I recently bought a HARD Toshiba 1 TB drive that my Qosmio G50 now refuses to recognize.

Anyone know if I would be able to open it and put the hard drive into one of these sata hdd docking stations I've seen announced?

The hard drive contains about 500 GB of movies, etc.
These I need access ASAP, so I don't want to go to the trouble of sending it back to the seller and expects a return, as well as all of the rigmarole that goes with it.

    Kind regards...

    Hello

You can try to open the external HARD disk enclosure, but you shouldn't t forget that then you will lose the warranty.
    So think about it!

In your case, I would like to send the HARD drive to a service provider authorized. Then you can fix.

Data on the external HARD disk enclosure but normally should not be stored on the external HARD disk enclosure. I have my data stored on the laptop and an external HARD drive.

  • Western digital external drive not recognized in windows 7

    Hello

I bought a new external hard drive (elements Western digital 1 TB) and my laptop is also new (windows 7).

When I connect my external hard drive, its getting detected in the bottom right of the machine by displaying a small icon. considering that, the external hard drive is not displayed in my computer.

In disk management, his appears as Disk1, on right click on it, getting only "convert the dynamic disk' and 'Properties' are enabled.

In disk management, in the list of volumes, 5 empty volumes are also there. Right click on these only "Delete Volume" is enabled. "Change drive letter and paths" is disabled.

Please help me solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    Yo!

A bit of a ball in the twilight. I'm wondering is someone else had this unit, tried to change the way it has been implemented and "messed up." I would take this one back and get another - especially if you got it in one of the "big box" stores If you're inclined to try to fix it, be aware that this may affect your ability ot return it for Exchange or credit. Depends the seller policies.

Right mouse click have the drive in the list to see the options. If they are correctly set, it may be possible to simply assign a drive letter to each volume of 'empty' If this configuration is OK with you.

Otherwise, the fix would involve will use the facilities of disc to remove the present volumes, and then creating one or more. Make sure that you choose to format the logical disks as and assign it a drive letter. See the Windows Help system.

    Let us know.

  • Drive external DRIVE not recognized. How to initialize?

I just ordered the car caddy, 80 GB and installed in the Bay where usually goes to my DVD burner. However, my XP OS does not seem to recognize the drive. The system sees it as a disk not initialized, but I can't find a FDISK or other utility to initialize the disk.

The system should automatically detect and display the drive in Explorer?

  • 6 10 iPhone iOS is not recognized by the laptop Win10Pro

6 10 iPhone iOS is not recognized by the laptop Win10Pro

After the upgrade to iOS 10 on my iPhone 6, is is no longer recognized as an external drive by my Win10Pro x 64 laptop on USB 2.0 or 3.0 port. New cable is used to eliminate that as a problem.

    Why is this happening?

I come to the last iOS 9.x.x?

Y at - it and the new driver I need to download on my PC?

I started to automatically backup icloud, but I want to import photos directly to my PC.

    Thank you

    Vicki

Try opening the iPhone before connecting to Windows. If the film is not empty, then the device should be listed in Windows Explorer. If it still does not show try to restart the computer and the device, and then try again. If it does not show more in iTunes then try iOS device is not showing in iTunes for Windows.

  • TEAC sx-60 mouse and keyboard not recognized on my laptop but on my computer, it works fine

TEAC sx-60 mouse and keyboard not recognized on my laptop but on my computer, it works fine

It is the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide drivers.  If they are not, you will not be able to get from Microsoft.

  • External hard drive not recognized

It seems as if my Macbook Superdrive is not recognized by both my MacBook after upgrade to El Capitan.  I took my external drive to the Apple iStore, it has been tested and I've been told that it does not.  Then, I bought a new disc (R1999.30 - a lot of money!), and after connecting to my two computers today, I realized that this new album is also "does not work".  After each update, something that has worked well in the past, does not work. Has anyone found a solution yet?

How you try to burn the disks?

You get an error message? So then what?

  • External Toshiba HARD drive not recognized on USB 2.0 ports, but only on USB 3.0

    Hello

I have a Toshiba drive external HARD 750 GB USB2.0/USB3.0
Now, this HARD drive is not recognized on USB 2.0 ports from my laptop (same thing on my desktop computer) but only on the USB 3.0 port.

I have try on port USB2.0 computers different (desktop, laptop) but it doesn't work. The LED is the lightning, but the drive does not appear in the file Explorer.

    You have any ideas?

    Thank you

    > Now this HARD drive is not recognized on USB 2.0 ports from my laptop (same thing on my desktop computer) but only on the USB 3.0 port

USB 3.0 port 900mA feeds. The USB 2.0 port common provides 500mA.
I think that the HARD drive needs more 500mA power in order to work properly.

So if you want to use the HARD drive on USB 2.0 ports, I recommend you to use a USB Y cable which allows to connect the HARD drive to two USB 2.0 ports

  • Satellite M70: HARD drive not recognized external - various XP error messages

    Hi all

I have a Satellite M70 and I have a Western Digital external hard drive.
Initially, it worked great, I was able to put my large collection of music, etc. on it and run a computer off to save space on my integrated HD.

But recently I had problems with XP not recognizing HD or be able to write in it. It appears in my computer, then disappear, often randomly when I write new files to it.
I reformatted the hard drive to NTFS as it ran originally as FAT32.

I updated my BIOS as well, but I'm out of ideas.

Anyone else had similar problems with XP?

    Thank you

Have you thought about external HARD drive failure?
Perhaps failure of HARD drive and, therefore, it cannot be recognized correctly.
