  1. a Mac Pro is not a laptop. Its a big desktop computer.  You probably have a MacBook Pro, which is a laptop.

  2. No, you cannot share the memory (live RAM) or storage (disk space, which is not memory) like that between computers.

  However, it is very very bad practice to have so little storage space available for your computer.   If you have less than 3 GB, you should seriously consider an external drive. and unload some files on the outside. Its best not to leave your hard drive to go below 10 GB of free space because it can seriously affect your computer's performance.

  I created a new folder named "Test" that I can see has been saved in "C:\Users\San\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders" as well as other folders by default, but I can find no trace of my 20 folders + that I had previously.

  Help!

  Nobody knows what could have happened and if they might be elsewhere on the HARD drive?  I have run several searches looking for folder names, but so far have developed in white.

  Hi once again, guys.

  OK, so that's the thing like that. I have Windows Vista SP2 and Internet Explorer 8. Recently, I have noticed that Japanese websites that use encodings of Japanese characters, such as Japanese (EUC), Japanese (JIS) and Japanese (Shift_JIS), display the text garbled instead of Japanese characters. I assumed that that was caused by the Unicode value encodings, so I went to the encoding menu to change to all the character encodings mentioned previously and he found none of the Japanese character encodings were present, because they have disappeared.

  After my first surprise, I noticed that other encodings of characters Asian Oriental were still present (Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, etc) and as perplexed as I was, decided to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 to see if the problem was independent of the browser. Found the same result after an uninstall successful (using Internet Explorer 7) and even after clean reinstall Internet Explorer 8.

  Knowing that Windows Vista has supported language of Eastern Europe and Asia already integrated, that I found no way to repair or reinstall to see if the problem could be solved in this way. My father has a laptop with Windows Vista SP2 and Internet Explorer 8, and he has no problem at all. My mother has a laptop with Windows XP SP3 and Internet Explorer 7, once again without a problem. I have a laptop with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8, always without problems. This means that what has caused the problem came from my own desktop computer.

  Oh, almost forgot, list of the things that is present on this computer:

  • Windows Vista with Service Pack 2
  • Internet Explorer 8 (also tried with Internet Explorer 7)
  • Panda Antivirus Pro 2010 (it was the culprit of all that many times, so why not add it?)

  I need these Japanese encodings, because I used to navigate the Japanese sites to keep my Japanese reading skills still work. Any help would be appreciated.

  Hello and thanks in advance to shed some light on my problem.

  I've been successfully with a number scheme to make my budget for a year and last night undid something I can't seem to fix. I adjusted a number in a cell in a spreadsheet called "Planned spending" and consequently, all the numbers in a spreadsheet called 'Annual Budget by month' connected to zero out the planned spending line. That's what the formula looks like that I had used successfully:

  

  Planned spending: $Month and planned spending: $Amount are in the "Planned spending" sheet, while done B1 refers to the line with the worksheet 'Annual Budget by month', then when I changed an entry in a cell in the box of spending like this:

  

  and changed $2500 to 2250 that the revised estimate is entered, all the numbers in a spreadsheet 'Annual Budget by month' attached is this:

  

  throughout the year.

  The only thing I can think is that in the passage to the new year maybe something was done although my personal budget runs from April - March. Another that I am at a loss.

  Any help much appreciated. I would like to know if it is enough information.

  Obviously, the passage of the new year has changed the indication of cell B1 on "automatic" which considered the cell as a date (January 1, 2016) instead of simple text. When I changed the Automatic return to text cell all the formulas that have been reworked.

  Thursday November 5, they said they would have answers that they had "escalation" of the case, but still there has been no response, and we waited patiently for four days. I have ried chatting with support and we also tried to call once or twice to calmly express our situation. Unfortunately, nobody seems to be able to re - turn on our service. It's very frustrating because we rely on Adobe Stock and only recently made the transition from Thinkstockphotos.com.

  So far, they said that the issue is on their end, but cannot give us more details and that they can't seem to fix this.

  How is it difficult to pass our plan from the trial version on "Adobe Stock Large" plan we had?

  And how not to be treated as a priority, this feels like an easy solution?

  Anyone else have this happen to them with Adobe Stock?

  Yes, four days after that initial distribution has been updated the Monday this week it has been resolved.

  We learned Monday that it could be corrected by Thursday and that our case could be "wound".

  On Thursday morning, when we had not heard back, we tried to contact support to verify the State of the question. We tried the chat of online support, a couple of us tried calling support and told us once or twice that the problem would be "escalation" by the support Adobe Stock service.

  We also placed an investigation with the help of other users of Adobe on the support forum of Adobe to see if other users have the same problem with Google search and search for the forum, it appeared that there was anyone else having the same difficulties and this left us thinking why are we not a higher priority for support from Adobe.

  We look forward to continue working with Adobe Stock and appreciate the assistance of support we have been able to receive. We understand that things happen and hope that Adobe will provide better support to their team of assistance so questions like these can be dealt with in an hour or a day at the most.

• Mystery of memory which disappears!

  I am running Vista and in recent weeks on 5 or 6 GB of memory are mysteriously disappear out of my C drive! Where are they going? I use Norton Antivirus and it reports no problems after complete analysis. I use very few programs on the computer and certainly none which would require as much memory! Does anyone have an idea what is happening? Shortly, I'll run out of space on the hard drive!

• Mysterious disappearance of NIC

  My NETWORK card disappeared mysteriously my lenovo g560 it isn't in Device Manager or network cards, I tried to install the driver, but it won't continue running because it does not detect the wired Lan interface, wifi works fine but wired connection is not possible. I use WIndows 7, I installed just to test ubuntu wubi and I was surprised that it works fine on ubuntu.

  System Restore is not an option that I already tried nothing happened even on an earlier point.

  I also tried Repair (refresh) installation of windows 7, but still not detected, I've tried programs like everest to try to detect it but no luck.

  Please, I have ideas, help me. I don't want to reformat my computer everything because of my data and programs, it is a hassle to install all of them again.

  I bougth an A60 sitting Pro and in the manual it says that normally have "256 or 512 MB on the motherboard and PC2100 256, 512 or 1024 MB modules can be installed in the memory slot expansion" but mine has only 192 MB of RAM, as I saw it on the properties of the system, and whenever I look to upgrade memory in different websites it gives me the opportunity of PC2700 for A60 series.
  Personally, I have no idea of what is a pc2100 and if it has no difference with pc2700 but I don't want to buy the wrong.
  Another question: if I install 256 MB it means I'll have 256 or 256 + 192 (which is what I have now)?

  Hi Catherine,

  Your A60 features a 256 MB RAM module in slot 1. The reason why your properties appear 192 MB is that 64 MB is reserved for your graphics card in the BIOS. This has the effect of reducing your available RAM 192 MB.

  You can indeed adapt extra RAM if you wish, but be sure to get the RAM memory modules that are compatible with your A60.

  Your memory after the upgrade will be slot 192Mo 1 so that no matter what size of RAM module you fit in slot 2.

  I have a Satellite 2450-101, which is longer under warranty. I upgraded the memory and noticed a mini-pci slot with two waiting for a card antenna cables. I need a g card (the 3300 looks like a good bet). The manual refers to a mini-pci slot and the CD from the laptop comes with Atheros drivers for the same... I am currently using a PCMCIA card but want to spend money with Toshiba to get a good onboard solution. I called Toshiba who say that he is not a slot in my laptop... Please please don't refer me to a partner because I've never actually talked to one yet. Honest answer please... can I mount a mini-pci card... is the 3300 OK, and how do I join the cables (if this is difficult, I won't)...
