1 single device unable to access Internet from my WRT54g replaced e1000

I'm having a problem with 1 laptop as I installed my Cisco e1000.  Here's my setup.

Cable modem-> BEFSR81 vs3-> E1000.

The BEFSR81 serves all my LAN wired connections and using DHCP.  The E1000 is connected to a LAN to LAN connection (such as Internet to connect to the LAN does not work for all devices).

The E1000 has disabled DHCP (I turned it off to try to solve this problem).

All wireless devices get a good lease DHCP the BEFSR81.  I am actually posting this from my laptop to work using a wireless connection between the e1000.

Work machine connection information:

Non-working machine gets the same information, sauf.107 as the final byte in the IP.  However, it may not:

(1) ping to gateway (router wired), partially once outside, partially inaccessible Destination address.

(2) ping any IP on wireless local area network - get the unavailable destination host.

I deleted and then recreated the network connection several times - the Setup is exactly the same Windows is concerned on both devices.

Until I get really pissed on a smash, the new router with non-working laptop wireless, anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks in advance for reading/tent to help.

Have solved it after talking with support from Cisco.  Apparently, the driver supplied with Windows Vista Atheros 5007 wireless card had problem with WPA2 encryption.  I updated the driver from the site Web of the manufacturer of the PC and boom, I'm back online.  My previous router was WPA, so I didn't know it was a problem.

All this leads to the issue of not being able to access the internet from within my Windows guest.  I can ping the host computer, but I can't access the internet.  I'm not sure of what could be the problem.

I pulled up to the parameters of the virtual machine window (Ctrl + D), selected network adapter in the list of devices and changed the ball from NAT to bridged. After you save the settings, I booted the machine virtual Windows has detected a new network adapter, and after you configure it, I am able to access the internet.

I have 5 profiles set up on my computer, one for each Member of the family.  When I try to access Internet Explorer or Word in two of the profiles I am unable to run the command.  Both applications work as they always have under the other three profiles.  I double click on and 'Open with' dialog box appears with "Recommended programs."  The only option in this area is "Internet Explorer". I select the option and click on , but I find myself in a continuous loop with the "Open with" dialog box  When I finally click I get an another dialog asking me to save or run "ssvagent.exe." I am able to cancel out, but I can't even open either application.  If I select I can open the document in word, but I can't access Word from the options menu or the shortcut I used last year.  I ran a virus scan today and 5 cases have been detected and removed.  I ran the scan under 5 profiles, but now I can't access BitDefender (my virus scan) under either of the two affected profiles.  Please notify. Hello

    Method 1:
Use the Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) mode, and check if it helps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Internet-Explorer-Add-ons-frequently-asked-questions

    Method 2:
I also suggest you to consult the Knowledge Base article and check if it helps:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/956196

    Method 3:
Check if you are able to ping Web sites. You can try the following steps:
    a. click on the Windows "Start" button, then select the 'Run' utility in the start menu.

    b. Enter the following command in the field 'Open', then click 'OK ':
    cmd

Command prompt opens in a separate window.

    c. Type "ping" followed by the URL of the Web site, you are trying to ping. You must leave a space between the 'ping' and the URL.

For example, ping Yahoo.com, enter the following command:

    Ping www.yahoo.com

    d. apply the command by pressing the key "Enter" on the keyboard. You should see the information on statistics for the address ping IP is entered, including the number of packets sent, received or lost.

If there is no packet lost, your Internet connection is working normally. However, if there are packages that are lost, you may have a problem with your Internet connection.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to access Internet in WiFi hotspots such as Starbucks

Ok.  I've scoured the forums here and almost everywhere possible on the net with over some luck to find an answer for almost a month.  I am currently on the cards by Fido. I bought a BB curve about a month ago because I was told that it has built in WiFi.

I have no problem connecting to my wireless home network.  Weather, that I secure it or not secure.  I have no problem connecting to any open or secured wireless network.  When I have a problem is when I go to places like Starbucks where there a login screen.  So, I'm unable to connect at all.

Search for networks, it finds the network.  I select the network.  Then, he said that it is connected.  So I'll try to go on the internet and it gives me just a blank white screen.  Now I find that my BlackBerry is just a useless paperweight because mainly I got to use in Starbucks coffee shops, since that is where I am much of the time.

I tried to go to bell.ca and see if I could access it like this (as I read somewhere to try this), still no luck.  My question is, why would I be said that it has built in wifi, if it only works on some networks?  It is able to be used on networks that have a login screen or is not able to?  And there at - it something I am doing wrong?  It shows the name of bell's access point when it says connected.  And I made sure that I put it in wireless mode.  I had other devices (Palm Pilot) who had no problems to connect.  What is the built in wifi point if it does not work on all wifi networks?

Ultimately what I want to know, is how to get my BlackBerry to bring up the pages of connection of these "hot spots"?  Weather in Starbucks, libraries, other cafés etc. ?

I can't guarantee that it will work, but it is worth trying.  After you open your browser to connect to a wifi hotspot, press the BB Menu key and select Options and choose the Configuration of the browser.  Then, with the browser setting, try to set it to "Hotspot browser."

Who help me?  Otherwise, let me know and I'll see if I can get my Storm2 to connect to Starbucks or other hotspot later today.

  • Unable to access Internet

I have a network not identified on my computer is blocking internet access. How can I remove it?

    Hi Bonita Bornstein,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. what happens when you try to connect to the internet?

    3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

I suggest you temporary disable the security software on the computer and check if it helps.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I suggest that you check the State of the network adapter on the computer using cheque and the Device Manager if it helps.

Well, I totally forgot the keyword "log" and NAT:

Cisco IOS NAT support ACLs with a keyword "log"?

    A. When you configure Cisco IOS NAT translation dynamic NAT, an ACL is used to identify the packages that can be translated. The current NAT architecture does not support the ACL with a keyword "log".

If your problem is not the mask with joker, but the command "log"...

  • Unable to access Internet Explorer after installing the Service Pack 3. Get the error of "Data Protection".

    Service Pack 3 problems

Recently downloaded service pack 3 and cannot get into Internet Explorer 8 as 'Data Protection' will not allow.  Anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi Courtney,

    ·         Are you referring to Data Execution Prevention (DEP)?

If so, check if turn off DEP support. To do this, follow these steps.

    a. click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpland then click OK.

    b. on the tab Advanced , under performance, click settings.

    c. on the Data Execution Prevention tab, use one of the following procedures:

    ·         Select the check box next to the program that you want to turn off DEP for and then click OK.

    ·         If the program is not in the list, click Add. Navigate to the folder Program Files , search for the executable file of the program (it will have the .exe extension) and then click Open.

For more information on DEP, see the following article.

A detailed description of the feature Data Execution Prevention (DEP) in Windows XP Service Pack 2, Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, and Windows Server 2003
