#1 Slot memory read not

SR1830NX Compaq now has a new hard drive and Windows 7 Pro. I had 4-512 MB DIMMS installed and it worked fine for

the last 2 years.  However, the computer began to lock up. I shot one that 512 MB of memory off memory slot #1 and it booted right up. I assumed it was the DIMM.  I bought 4-1 GB (maximum for this computer) and installed, so it would not initialize. I got 1 GB of memory simm Slot #1 and she started showing 3 GB, however, it would break as it is not an accepted configuration. It seems to be the housing itself does not.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Frank

PS. It works now with 2-512 MB DIMM Slot 3 and 4 correct.

Could be a number of things like memory you use, but honestly, I think that the biggest problem is that the first location just sounds like it went wrong. These slots is not short repalceable of switching on motherboards.

You are confused of RAM and disk space available.

I guess you've expanded your laptop RAM and it is possible that this new module is defective. Try to remove it and check with original RAM Toshiba module.

  • G7-2235dx - memory Slot defective/made not climb in memory Slot

Recently I bought a package of 4 GB of DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 for my laptop. I received it today and progressed to install after the direcitons given to the user of my laptop manual. But never well switched memory. It seems that the retention clips are not long enough, or there is something blocking the module to go fully into the slot of memory. I found that odd. After finding out that memory does not fit in the slot, I removed the HP factory memory module, it is the crack and tried to put it in the slot of the replacement part or defective. Also, there is no good. Just for clarification, I tested the memory purchased in the slot of the workign and memory works perfectly. I wonder what could be the problem with my memory slot.

I called HP support and they said it would cost me $290 for the slot to be repaired. I find it a lot since I paid $300 for the laptop itself.

    Any help is apprechiated.

A motherboard itself is going to be at least $ 125. There is work. Of course, it does not. I put 4 gigs in it in the a good slot and just use it.

  • Application error memory could not be read 0 x 00000014

    Hello world

I would like to know if any of you have experienced this problem.

I run an application built by me in a computer with LabVIEW Run-time 9 in which I display a PDF file using an ActiveX control:

The target computer is running Adobe Reader 9.0.  Everything works perfectly until the application is closed.  From time to time (almost most of the time), I have the following error in windows:

«Application error: the instruction at "0x0ffd609c" referenced memory at "0 x 00000014".»  The memory could not be "read".  Click OK to complete the program."

Try to find the reason why, I found a few forums who say that the reason is a bug in Adobe 9.0 (in fact, I tried to run the application with Adobe Reader 8 and I can't make the same mistake).  Someone of you have had this error before and found a solution?  These links were not on LabVIEW and I have no idea how to get around this problem.

    Any help is happy.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dani

Who may be interested, I managed to find a workaround for this bug in Adobe Reader 9.0.

It seems that, somehow, LabVIEW and other programming tools, hang around with this version of Adobe (I guess it is because of this bug) when the reference to closing Adobe created by the ActiveX container.  That the solution will be closing "by hand" this reference, then saying Windows to release the whole relationship between the application (LabVIEW for us) and Adobe.  The idea is that when we did with VI which displays the PDF via ActiveX, we should close the reference to the ActiveX control, close the reference to the VI, and:

-process all Windows messages currently in the queue of messages (.NET: System.Windows.Form.Application-> DoEvents)
    -run CoFreeUnusedLibraries in "ole32.dll".

I hope this information can help someone, I lost too much time to understand this (eventually find the answer in an Adobe forum!)

P.S. P.S. for those who program in c#, check out this link; He was my source.

    Hi Dani,

    1. who is the edition of Windows that is installed on the computer?
    2. what game you try to play?

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Run the memory diagnostic tool
    a. see diagnosis of problems of memory on your computer
    b. Once you correct the errors, check if the problem persists.

Step 2: Check the game sellers website to see if there are updates or patches for the game and install it.

Step 3: If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the game and then check the result.
