  I have Toshiba Satellite C855-12N with new installed Ubuntu 12.04. My problem stops the system when the power adapter is connected. System stops, but after 3 seconds starts automatically again.   I have problems with the closing of a machine. When the machine is connected to the corporate network, everything works fine. However, if the computer is connected to the VPN (1 hour or more) it is always suspended when it stops. First step in the shutdown process is:

  Please wait for the system event Notification service.

  This change after 3 minutes exactly. Next step:

  Please wait for Group Policy client windows 7

  is never exceeded (even after a few hours). Machine never off.

  Under newspapers there are always these 4 events when the machine stops in vain:

  1. 6005: the winlogon notification subscriber takes a long time to handle the notification event (Logoff).
  2. 4627: the event COM + a system expired attempt to fire the method of logging on the event {D5978650-5B9F-11D1-8DD2-00AA004ABD5E} class for the Publisher and the Subscriber.  The Subscriber has not responded within 180 seconds. The full name of the subscription is "ISensLogon2". The HRESULT is 80010002
  3. 6006: the winlogon notification subscriber took 180 second (s) to handle the notification event (Logoff).
  4. 6005: the winlogon notification subscriber takes a long time to handle the notification event (Logoff).

  Sense has expired after 3 minutes while there is no event 6006 for GPClient and machine is stuck there for centuries (Please wait for the customer to group policy). I noticed in the system logs that before the machine hangs during the shutdown process there are these errors and warnings:

  • 5783: the session configuration for the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller \\server for the domain X is not admissible.  The current CPP of Netlogon call on \\machine to \\server was canceled.
  • 1014: name resolution for the name of the server has expired after none of the configured DNS servers answered.
  • 131: NtpClient could not set a domain peer to use as a source of time due to the DNS resolution error on ". NtpClient will try again in 3473457 minutes and double the reattempt interval thereafter. The error was: the requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found. (0x80072AFC).

  There is more than 1014 events for different servers and some 131. 5783 is always alone.

  I did a group policy log, because I thought that I will be able to see where the machine stuck. Below you can see the part of the newspaper GPSVC when the machine stops in vain:

  I excluded 1 GP machine and left on the VPN for a few hours, several times. He always stopped correctly.

  However I tried with the VPN disconnection before turning off the machine, I even turned off WiFi but machine still hanging. If I tried to get GP results it takes ages before stopping the machine and he's stuck in the step "to get the user name. Gpupdate/force will never update policy (it stops at policy update...). I tired with the installation of different patches that has not solved the problem.

  I think that there is that DNS issues while the machine is on VPN which led the GP cannot be applied. When the machine tries to close it is always somehow connected. There is no problem with the connection, no GP application script when the user disconnects, not roaming profiles.

  Does anyone have the same problems? All machines are Dell with Juniper NC (VPN).

  I bought the HP 360paviliion about 6 weeks ago, and the list of problems seems to continue to grow.

  2. When you load the 360 the screen orientation is blocked on the portrait.
  3. the screen does not turn (as the Ipads do)

  4. the touchscreen as the keyboard works sometimes - for this purpose I have to active the on screen keyboard.

  I spoke with the help of HP tech, and they tried a factory reset which does not help the problems I had. They have been good enough to deliver me a return / refund coupon. It seems I could have been sold a lemon at the 1st time.

  After talking with the place I bought the 360 HP, I ended up finding another machine and well touch wood so far it has worked like a dream. Mind you only have for 2 days and have just finished setting up.

  I'll give you that, at least the information you were much more inormative and maybe more useful than the telephone line.

  Evolution of the situation. I made a few windows troubleshooting, not quite clear on what I did, except that product updates a few repairs. After troubleshooting, I found that the computer would be completely off via the power button in the bar of charms. It is all a little surprise but stop working whenever I tested it.   When you check the sign system side in front of your laptop it is placed ON / OFF light (one on the left side). When the laptop is turned off this fire must be permanently CLOSED.

  I recently installed Oracle 11.2.0.3 Unix HP Itanium server. Database has been upward and works very well.

  We had a planned maintenance and all connected applications have been brought down. In other words, I see only one active SYS connection and issues "stop immediately".

  But it takes a lot of time and crashes it with below the entries in the log of alerts. I saw on google that they are related to EMNC and EMNC killed and these processes are gone and stop is over. What are these processes and why - they remain active even after the show 'stop immediately '? Shouldn't they be gone if they are treated when associated SYS stop questions?

  This is a known bug. I searched on metalink and could not find.

  Pop - up that claim that you have problems on your Mac is scams. You don't want to call them or allow them to have access to your Mac.

  If this is the case frequently you probably have the adware installed on your Mac. Please download and install https://www.malwarebytes.org to rid your Mac of adware that is infesting it.

  Unless you fully active 'find my Mac' BEFORE that your mac has been stolen, it can't do anything for you now. It is not active, and there is no way to make it active after the fact.

  My Elitebook 8540p has developed a problem where I get the error message - Internet Explorer has stopped working... Turn it back on.     I am running Windows 7 32 bit.   And using IE9.

  After some internet reading, I started my services of neutralization.    I finally got down to a service that is causing the problem.

  When I disable the service in the services of the MSconfig System Configuration and reboot, I use internet explore without any problem.    (I've identified some Web pages which would agrivate the question.)

  The deactivation of the Service of Authenticaton of Biomitric causes the scanner to not work.     I tried to reload the driver for fingerprint reader, and the HP Protect tools Security Manager.

  Any idea how I can activate the biometric authentication Service and not IE stopped working the issue?

  I had the same problem on my HP Pavilion dv7 and had the chance of getting a solution.

  I, too, put the finger on biometric authentication as the problem Service.  By disabling the service, Internet Explorer worked well; except, now, I had no finger analysis feature.  I installed the latest version and it worked for a few sessions and then the problem comes back.

  Looking at my updates, I realized that the Flash is set to update at the same time, the problem started.  I tested by activating the biometric authentication Service.  Instead, I disabled the Flash add-on in Internet Explorer and it did not work again; except, now, I had no Flash.

  Searching online, I came across this post from Adobe:

  I followed the instructions in this post, including the "clean install" and reverted to version 10.3 of Flash.
