• Workflow timeout question

  Hi friends,
  I'm implementing the time-out feature in my workflow. I mentioned the time-out on the notification and the time is 3 minutes. The transition from activity timeout if the notification itself (the same notification be sent again if the time-out). But when I run the workflow, the notification is sent only once. I'm assuming that the notification will be sent back to the user after 3 minutes. This is not the case. Can someone let me know how this can be done.

  1. make sure that the workflow background process is expected to carry out the activities timed out
  2. a notice of cancellation is sent only if the notification provides a result
  3 not directly related, but it is not a good practice to send the same notification again. Instead, send a recall notice. You can see how to do this with the diagram provided in the page of the the 10-10 workflow developer's guide.

• UCM-Vuelink integration question

  Hi all
  
  I try to incorporate 20.0 Vuelink with UCM 11.1.1.4.0, when I try to display a document in Autovue, only for the first time its happening, if I tried again with closing the browser, it requires identification of connection information, and even after giving the correct credentials, it remains on the same page. After the closure of the pop-up window for any other action, its redirection to the login page.
  
  If I close the browser and try the same steps in a new browser, then the same thing repeats (only for the first time document opens in AutoVue)

  VueLink 20 for the AAU has been certified against UCM 11.1.1.3 with Oracle patch 9725318.
  UCM 11.1.1.4 release broken integration, but this problem has been fixed in 11.1.1.5.

  If your two options are to use UCM 11.1.1.3 (with Oracle patch 9725318) or UCM 11.1.1.5.

  We have more than 700 documents of TB who want to gather in one place. We are looking for a solution. One of them is Oracle UCM. The question is can UCM process this amount of documents or not? If Yes, is good enough for 30000 simultaneous users of performance?

  They may need to see only one by one, but unless you have a direct link to the document at hand, there will be a certain type of research.  With 8 billion documents, you must consider a few factors.

  • You "got to do a deep analysis of how such research is usually performed by the users.  For example, a document is always checked on three meta elements (say 'title', 'Department' and 'country'). Listen to common queries.
  • You will need the indexes on these fields and unlikely combination on these areas.
  • You will not be able to fields of substring search (if you really want a performance system), and all documents must have values in all fields search keys (i.e. not null values). Cannot empty searches (like 'show me everything I see' research).  You may need to hire certain types of results max and certainly clear the function which returns the number that is placed on the top of the search page - I forgot the setting.  This is important because the search is actually performed twice: once to get the number, the second actually return results.  The first query might be enough to stop everything and if the meter is slow to come back, guess what is your username?  They click on the button search again, run this query once again dear!  I've seen this too many times... it happens.
  • According to the number of new elements being inserted, the index database may be rebuilt frequently, even daily.

• run a VM on vcenter workflow unique sdk connection

  I'm short vCO 5.5.1 material, connected to 13 vCenters spread around the world. Yes I know, probably not the best idea, but it doesn't seem to work properly. We're not really able to re-architect to take advantage of the cluster to the time mode.

  Anyway, with that many connections of vCenter to vCO, even simple VM operations take a long time. This is due mainly to the fact that even the simple workflow that power VMs seem to rely on the questioning of ALL connections of vCO SDK. We provide a virtual machine name (or UUID) as input and vCO then queries all our vCenters until it can return an VC:VirtualMachine object, which is then used as the real input parameter to run VM-associated workflows in question.

  Anyone know of a more effective and efficient to have the vCO to retrieve the VC:VirtualMachine object, instead of an iteration on all connections of the SDK?

  Get VM by name is a bad habit, especially if you have many vCenters / VMs.

  vCO has a nice tree inventory to load in the inventory items only in containers (VM files, resource pools) you select.

  If you use an external system that does not know how to interface with vCO API to get the tree view that you should get virtual machines by their ID.

  You can start a workflow of vCO input the object ID (unique vCO or object of type + object ID + host vcenter) do:

• Pages RIP, sad story... Spacing inside in the long Document

  Well guys, today as the author of the book I have says RIP Pages and I am looking for different processor. This coz really "filled my heart,' I've got a few days before the date of the release of the book.

  Is this true? The installer inside the spacing of cant pages? OK I tried to model in LibreOffice and opened in Pages - surpriiiise, Pages unfortunately unable to display this type of pitch? Oh... my... God...

  So I do not have the chance to make Pages more, inside the spacing kill my workflow and questions to copy paste images of pages of quality.

  You know, I love coz written Pages tru his smooth, flexible, fast and easy, I love the cropping of the images, I love how fonts - look like, but I think that Pages need really updated for serious work... not only this optimizations for that freaking Sync compatible iOS - Finally, I don't know many people who use pages on iOS.

  If anyone has an idea how to solve this spacing in Pages, please let me know...

  LibreOffice is intentionally written as a product of replacement of MS Office of superset. It has facing pages, related executives, and the possibility of placing several sections within these frameworks. I can put on a single page in Pages v5.6.1 that looks like one of your pages, but cannot provide the flow of documents in this format, because it is not supported.

• EXTREME slowing windows 7 professional 64-bit response time, possibly problem driver network adapter? Help, please!

  I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed on a computer, I built

  Data sheet:
  Processor Intel i5 750 (stock clocked & stock cooler)
  Card mother Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3P
  G. Skill Rip jaw DDR3 1333 RAM (standard timings)
  Western Digital 640 GB SATA HD
  Card EVGA 8800 GS SC Video

  Samsung SATA DVD writer

  My problem is, after I started and had my computer running for a significant amount of time (30 minutes to an hour), I loose full internet connectivity and the response time for any action I'm trying of the preform is from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

  This problem occurs almost every time my computer is started for a significant amount of time, and it's extremely annoying.

  First Firefox, Google chrome, or internet Explorer stops receivers internet connectivity (because it is not sailing to any web page) but still related reports.

  (during this time and on my computer don't report any anomaly, IE CPU utilization / ram uses / temperature are amounts all acceptable)

  I usually try to close my browser (s) web, but its reports "not responding" and I cannot close or even end the process or the process tree, so it runs as a process. From there a program or a click I do I try to run either doesn't work or takes 30 seconds to 5 minutes to register if they register at all.

  Programs I all ready have running continue to run, IE Vuze, WindowsMP, Zune software, openoffice. But once that I close them I can't reopen.

  Any program I try to open starts a process in the Task Manager but it not to start a program or actually run, and I can't used to finish the tasks that do not work properly.

  If I try to shut down windows, it takes a minute or so to begin to disconnect, then he sits on the "logging" off the screen until I use the power switch to kill the system.

  I suspect that it may be a problem from my network card driver (Controller Realtek PCIe GBE Family, latest version downloaded directly from the Gigabyte website for my motherboard) because the question almost always starts when my internet stops working. However, this may be 2 combined numbers.

  I had this problem and I thought it was because of an installation of bad windows 7 so I erased the hard drive and did a complete new installation, but the problem is back!

  I changed my routers settings to give me a fixed IP address to dismiss questions here. All the other computers in my House have access the internet without interruption during my problems. And no other computer in my house has similar problems.

  I reinstalled the network once drivers without success.

  I would like to address the downturn extreme Windows 7 after half an hour or so if possible because I have other NICs lying there if the problem comes from the network card.

  I'm pretty computer savvy and I've exhausted all my ideas, so any notice are useful! Thank you

  OK, so I think that the slow issue is resolved now. I blame intel speedstep, while part of my problem is fixed.

  Internet connection problems still remain.

  I ran my computer in safe mode with network for about 2 hours. When I booted in safe mode, everything was fine, internet connetion worked on download and upload at full power. I let it sit for an hour or two in safe mode and I came back and there is no internet again, as usual. All my browsers (internet explorer, my main browser firefox and chrome) refuse to function / load anything and their work will not end in the Task Manager. The device says it all works and it (network adapter) said I have a connection, but I am squatting me on my browsers or any other uses of the Internet. This test will run on a network interface card that I installed, with drivers. I did him wrong with shooting my motherboard cable network and its software driver port. This new card gives the same result, so I think now I know that this issue has nothing to do with my physical port or its drivers.

  The only things I can think that it either now are either:
  my router
  However, all the other computers in my house (3 of them, 1 win XP), 1 Win 7 64 bit pro, 1 Ubuntu and my Xbox 360 not having this problem and works perfectly

  or

  Something inside windows 7 that control the browsers or manages connections,
  I think it's most likely due to the fact that my browsers have problems in the Task Manager / they do not work properly

• Paint over the video after the addition of adjustment layer?

  Hi all

  I have a little video, 30 seconds, and I try to draw the frame by frame on top of the video with a brush. While it's easy I would first change the black and white video. By adding a black and white adjustment layer, it does not allow with a brush. I was wondering if there was another way to select all the images in the video and change it to black and white while helping paint me over it frame by frame.

  I struggled to learn by trial and error, so my workflow is questionable, but I'll try and at least help you get started.  My screenshot is too big for the page, then click to expand to see comfortably.

  So I started with a group of video with the Lady driving a cow.  This is the video Group 1.  With the video layer selected in the layers panel, I add a B & W adjustment panel and my video becomes black and white.

  To add an animation on top of that, I have to make a new video group using the small movie icon at the left end of the Timeline.

  For me, I see the second group of video, and so I have to drag the timeline at the bottom of the page and make more great by dragging its lower edge.

  You need something to draw, so with the video Group 2 twirl open, add a layer. It will be too long, but don't worry at this stage.

  Make your drawing on this layer.  If you want that the animation to change two images, move forward two frames of the time indicator and use the scissors to cut the video group at that time.

  You will need to market the onion skins (steal our in the upper right corner of the scenario)

  You will now be able to see a ghost of the last image to use as a guide to draw on the other.

  Note: every time you cut the track, it will create a new layer draw.  By clicking on an item in the Assembly will select this layer.

  Therefore, my axe up to attempt using video editing for animation.  Until very recently I agreeing me with those who cannot not work why onion skins isn't available only for video and image animations.  It was an ordinary user error!   I'm sure that you'll be able to Polish my clumsy workflow, and I'd appreciate a heads up if you do.

• Handling error and reprompting for data.

  I'm looking for a way to return the incorrect entries of workflow without losing the running instance of the workflow in question. In my environment, there are a few workflow that involve the commissioning of several devices such as networked storage in nested workflows and often times a failure due to incorrect user input or otherwise it occurs. These failures midway eventually require a set restart the workflow in question that add up quickly in terms of time of many. Ultimately breaking apart the workflow was where I ended up, but this seems to be unfavorable because it requires more babysitting and manual entries. Has anyone produced a creative method to recognize the error, with the incorrect value and retrieve a new entry of user input.

  Add a link to exception to the workflow item that fails and "react" on the error with an element of user interaction that ask you once again these parameters. When they are provided, after the intervention of the user "go back" to the crucial workflow item.

  Generally the models would have been verified as content items with the type system or TA, do a standard search in the AAU for this type of content and filter based on the text you are looking for.

• Custom component gR 10, 3 of the Complutense University of MADRID

  We have an obligation to build a custom, component in order to change enamel teample for 'Notice of expiry'. From now on, we have a component inside the 'custom' folder called "CS10gR35CoreUpdate" that has the file "query_notification_mail.htm" inside the folder teamplate and many other model. Now I will create a new custom component of the based on the existing "CS10gR35CoreUpdate" and edit the required file 'query_notification_mail.htm' and will allow this component of the Components Wizard and restarts the UCM.
  
  My Question is: how I'll make sure that new custom component is called when an email is sent for documents to be expired? What abt the existing one?

  Our custom component is not any file of defination resouce, and I do not see the loadorder in defination of resource. Where can I configure the order of loading on the custom component?

  I have another Q? Is it safe to manually change model "query_notification_mail.htm" who that is on the inside:
  Install dir\custom\CS10gR35CoreUpdate\core\templates\query_notification_mail.htm, I ask this question because I have to make changes only in query_notification_mail.htm, so instead of creating the new component based on exit, if I change the file manually?

  What do you mean by "safe"? Of course, if change you it on a hard drive, it will work (ie. in this particular system, the change will apply). You should be careful when you implementCS10gRXCoreUpdate in the future (a global patch will replace most likely your changes). In general, the change of standard resources is not considered to be a very good practice (quick and dirty), but if it is a change in one system, you can probably live with that.

• Integrate workflows Oracle UCM with ADF

  It's not exactly an integration. You just need to call a service and view its result in ADF accordingly. A useful service can be GET_WORKFLOWS_FOR_ALL, the other GET_WORKFLOWDOCUMENTS.

• How to trigger the workflow of UCM criteria while pushing the Webcenter Imaging paper

  We work for installation of the Imaging Solution. I defined and activated a workflow of criteria to the AAU and able to trigger when I check in a document directly from the console of the Complutense University of MADRID. But this workflow does not occur when a document is pressed at the UCM Webcenter Imaging as part of the Imaging Solution.

  Is it possible to trigger workflow UCM criteria through validation of imaging profile somehow?

  As shown ( Doc ID 1286047.1), I realized that if we can fill metadata IdcService, flow of criteria can be triggered. But do not know how can I fill value to metadata IdcService in IPM for the document corresponding to a UCM.

  Any input would be greatly helpful.

  Note: according to the ( Doc ID 1253304.1), It is not possible to trigger the workflow of criteria if the document is pushed with the charger in batches. I am confused with these two Metalink. Please help.

  All notifications of OOTB in Content Server (workflow those subscriptions) will focus on your Content Server users. If your intention is to display an image from imagery (for example with additional annotation via the Viewer), this could be quite undesirable.

  Imaging, OOTB notifications are listed here: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/admin.1111/e12782/c02_security.htm#CDDGGHDI and it recommends BPEL.

• UCM Cluster my Workflow assignments not even

  Hi all.

  I have configured the ucm clustered on 2 machines

  When I connect even account on 2 machines, machine1 (a UCM_server1) I see 3 workflow content item in the queue but

  computer2 (a UCM_server2) I see only 1 content workflow item in the queue.

  I reindexed but no luck.

  I solved my problem.

  It's line: UserProfilesDir = / shared/ucm / / ucm/cs/data/users/profiles of cache I lack on machine 2.

  I have change the config by adding the UserProfilesDir = line / shared/ucm / / ucm/cs/data/users/profiles of cache on intradoc.cfg on the machine.

  I forgot the profile user config folder while config UCM on machine 2.

• Workflow question

  I have a question and I would be very interested to hear the opinions of experienced users.

  When you create a montage composed of many individual scenes the typical workflow would be to have a project and begins to run accumulate all the scenes or create projects for each scene and then bring them all together later.

  Hi Mark,

  You can create different locations to organize your clips at import and then just create a new sequence for each 'scene' that you want to work, so really you have just several chronologies by tabs that you can switch between. The sequences will be returned as elements in the tray and can be moved to a timeline. So just "assemble" the finished scenes assemble you clips in a timeline. Nice, it works! I'm going to break big marriages in Preps, ceremony, Park, front desk, for example, Recap and then just put it all together at the end for export.
