11 - k000na: problem of restart of the operating system after disk erasing

Hi there are members of the HP support forum!

I bought my product, the HP Pavillion 11-k000na, in October of last year and around in time to March this year, I found the speed of the computer to be really bad, so I decided that I do a disk cleanup and restore the computer to factory settings I've done. Restart the computer, I discovered that something has gone wrong and after many failed attempts I could not restart the operating system.

Time and time again, the laptop gives me the same error - message

Error code 0 xC0000001

When I bought the computer it came installed with windows 8 and I've quickly updated to windows 10, would be the problem that when I restored it to factory settings, it does not know how to restart now?

Any help would be really useful thanks!

Oliver

Hello

On the upgrade of Windows 8 to 10, built in recovery partition got corrupted and will stop running more.

How do you reset phone?

Only I know is to order for your model of HP USB recovery. Or pure 8.1 Windows update install using Windows Media creation tool. Both methods retrieve product key of activation of the Board BIOS chip, automatically and be activated.

    Original title: someone help please?

Working on my old computer, a pentium 4, card mother GA81PE1000, I continued to have this message flashing on the screen "ERROR of LOADING of THE OPERATING SYSTEM" after the restart when loading the software Window XP. After so many years, working on the construction of computer & repair, it's new to me.

So I checked the Microsoft Website for answers from people with the same problem in the past and apply their suggestions, nothing works... hard drive replaced, the changed value in the bios, did everything possible, still nothing works, phenomenal for me, please help me find an answer, thank you?

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
2 - what you want to say that you receive this error message during the installation of Windows XP?

Check to see if the following is useful.

Method 1: Disconnect all devices non-essential connected to the computer and restart. Check to see if it boots normally.

Method 2: You may need to check the settings of the BIOS (Basic Input\Output System). Check if the hard drive is detected. If this is not the case, check the physical connections. Refer to the manual to check the same.

    Warning of the BIOS:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • Install the operating system after replacing the corrupted hard drive Asus q500a

The hard drive on my Asus Q500a is bad (he had checked the repairman). They told me that I could replace it (it will just keep failing until at last it dies just) but I have to re - install the operating system. The laptop comes with Windows 7 and I upgraded to 8 when it came out (I think). I don't have a recovery disk.

How can I replace the corrupted hard drive and re-install the operating system?

If I need to buy Windows 8, where can I find?

Would it not easier that I left the repair shop handle it?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Impossible to download and reinstall the operating system after erasing HD

Yesterday morning, my iMac won't start.  It was fine the night before.

The progress bar reaches about two thirds to three quarters of the way to the end when the bar of progress disappears and I find myself with a gray screen. It does this by starting too.

I followed the advice of Linc Davis at https://discussions.apple.com/message/21333265 (hash) 21333265 (Note - I can't find the symbol of hash on my keyboard key so if you if know where he is, please replace by in the link - oh (hash) and tell me where it's too please ;-)).

I started the Revovery volume (now here actually).  Run Disk Utility/First aid finds no problem with MacIntosh HD (my boot drive). I can't find how to repair permissions.  The option no longer seems to be there. Reset NVRAM has nothing else that makes the iMac wonder my preferred language.

I used download and reinstall OS option.  The first time I tried to re-download El Capitan, it took 15 minutes and 45 minutes to install.  Installation failed leaving me to the grey screen again.  I think that the Setup program itself was trying to restart the iMac when he got stuck in the same place I'm stuck.  I left it there for about six hours before I tried to restart manually.

Tried to download the operating system again. This time, it was after using the recovery volume, select MacIntosh HD, by using erasing, then the option reinstall in THE.

I did two times now.  The first time I tried 'Erase and re - install' the download bar has got to a point about a third of the way across, and then he stopped. Time of download bar gradually got more and more long, up to what I canceled it (when the display estimated download time is six and a half).  The internet connection was problematic, or the Mac had stopped download (similar to the earier progress bar).  The second attempt to delete and download, the download bar has not yet started to progress.

My HARD drive has several volumes.

    1. The most important. My MacIntosh HD with OS 10.11.4 - El Capitan.
    2. The second, MacIntosh HD 2, is about 50 GB, a Mavericks installed on it.
    3. The third is 10.11.4 recovery volume.
    4. The fourth is another volume of recovery for the Mavericks.
    5. There is another called eDrive bulkhead.

Apart from MacIntosh HD, with none of these volumes I problems in starting up (with the possible exception of the Mavericks resumed, that I have not tried to access all since the update to El Capitan).

I used first aid utility disk several times, and no problems have been reported. I used the version of El Capitan permanently.

I can't understand why, after erasing the MacIntosh HD to do it again, I can't get the iMac to download the MacOS and reinstall.

    A couple of clues-

    • After his clear utility drive always reports what is MacIntosh HD. (When I restart, the dialog "Select Start Drive" only shows the volume of the Mavericks and eDrive)
    • Disk utility also shows "Apple Disk Image/OS X Base System."  OF THE said that it is ejection. But this button does not work.  I suspect it's what might stop download me the installer and start again.

I used e-drive to check the iMac and, in particular, the drive HARD; even performed a surface scan.  No problems have been reported.

Your 2007 iMac is too old to download OS X, you need to install OS X since the recovery partition directly. If this does not work then Yes, something is wrong with your HD run Apple Hardware Test Mode Extended 2 - 3 times back to back, if errors appear which confirms what I said. You will need the original DVD that came with the computer in order to run it.

  • replace the operating system after replacing death HD

Pavilion dv7-4285.  I replace a hard disk totally dead! How can I get (free, cheap oe) replacement for operating system. I did not receive the disks of software of the retailer.

    Hello

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

You may need, additional drivers and software are here.

  • I had to reinstall the operating system after that Itried to restore my files for the backup that I had already taken in an external drive, the problem is tha files are empty?

When I am trying to restore my file that I can't reach them, in some cases I can read the name of the file such as the name of a singer, but when I tried to open the file is empty, he said. This happens with my contact and all my media. I lose my stuff.

    [Moved from comments]

    Hi Hector.

    1. what version of Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

    2. you use software to perform the system backup and restore?

3 is the issue limited to any particular file?

First of all, I suggest you click with the right button on the backup files and check the size of the file in the Properties window.

Try to copy and paste the files to the computer and check if you are able to access the files.

You can also check if the folders are hidden. If the folders are hidden, so you can view folders and check if you are able to access the data.

    1. press the ALT key on the keyboard in any Windows Explorer window to display the toolbar.
    2. click on tools, then Options of folders, and then on the view tab.
    3. then choose "show files and folders". After clicking OK, they appear with the other files.

Hope that the information provided is useful.

  • How to reinstall the operating system after the broken hard drive partition?

Hey guys, lately my HARD drive goes down, during the factory restore. I install a new blank HDD in your computer now. I can see my old HARD drive recovery disk, but cannot get it back.

I have finished the form of recovery disk, but my warranty expired a few months ago as :( I have the product key that came with my cpu, which is window 7 Home premium. You are not sure if Dell will send me a recovery disk, if I have to buy a new window, or if there is some way I can restart the recovery partition?

You can perform a new installation using a .iso from Digital River and the program ABR:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows-7/Microsoft-product-activation/the-activation-backup-and-recovery-program-Windows-7-version/

For the old disk, you should try using Fedora data recovery:

What cell phone do you have?

Are you trying to boot from the external HARD disc or what exactly are you trying?

What happens to my files when I reinstall the os?  they are always there?  are they all us date to reinstall substituted for their creation date?

Because you will lose the lot, you will need to restore from your external backup. If you do not back up your files regularly then it is a good time to review your backup strategy.

You can always back up your files to boot the machine with a Ubuntu boot CD. Unfortunately, it is much more difficult than restoring from a backup disk.

  • If I kill Winlogon.exe in an attempt to restart or stop a device could cause corupted becaome the operating system

I was told that if I had to kill the Winlogon.exe in an attempt to restart or stop a device could cause the operating system to become corupted.

    I'm uaing a feature of windows 2000.

    Hello

    1. How did you kill? via the Task Manager?
    2. do you use the Windows 2000 operating system?

The process "winlogon.exe" runs in the background. Winlogon is a part of the Windows login subsystem and is necessary for the user authorization and activation of Windows controls.

Murder winlogon.exe can make your computer unable to open a session, but I doubt it would have damaged the operating system. It is necessary that you let Microsoft Programs and services run without interruption for the proper functioning of your computer.

Note: The winlogon.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. In other cases, winlogon.exe is a virus, spyware, Trojan or worm.

After that my hd, I decided to replace it as well as reinstall Vista Home Basic using the system recovery disk, that I bought at HP in 2007. My laptop is a pavilion dv6000 with Vista 32 bit.

Unfortunately I didn't, I had to turn my copy of vista on my pc within 30 days, since I got my pc sometimes without incurring in this issue. I tried to insert the cd in the back of my pc key, but to understand that no longer works, so I tried with the new cd key of my drive to restore but that no longer works.
