11 venue Pro i3 (non-vPro) trouble quitting hybrid

Hello

I met two issues that prevent me to take advantage of the hybrid Windows 8.1 shutdown mode and 10: if it is activated, the system will occasionally (up to half of the time) fail to start after the Dell logo is displayed. This can be caused by using Windows 10 (build 10130 right now), but I have not seen this problem on my desktop PC running the same version. Disabling the feature or restart of work, however.

Another issue is that even once with the stop of the hybrid has allowed sometimes the power button does not work, return to work perfectly after a reboot or by disabling the feature of the hybrid, turn it off and turn it back on again. Given that perform a reboot does not use the hybrid of hibernation feature the session of the kernel, it seems to be somehow related.

We will free qualified pilots and an update of the BIOS for Windows 10 fairly quickly.   I think your problem will be solved.

  • Why Dell has paralyzed the Panel advanced configuration options of power on the venue Pro 8?

Reference paralyzed Dell Control Panel advanced configuration options of power on the venue Pro 8.

Dell must provide a patch restores full power plan setting up advanced features of Windows.

Adding a new default Dell Windows power plan doesn't bother me, but they must not paralyze the Panel Windows distribution, power options, or remove the standard Windows power management.

That has something to do with the sleep settings connected / configuration Microsoft / Dell are doing on these units. It is the same for versions place 11 MS Pro. units of vPro are different because no standby connected supports. With Eve logged onto the available settings are limited to what would not interfere with it. If you would change settings (e.g., SSD or Wifi Powermanagement Disabled) issues as sleep function in the process of disappearance and others. Microsoft also has requirements to be connected certified standby.
Again, not 100% sure if it's MS or Dell do but my guess would be Microsoft because I saw the same thing with different units.
If you turn off the connected Eve all Windows power plans are displayed and all the advanced features of power are available.

Use the command Regedit and change the following:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
Change the value for the key CsEnabled from 1 to 0 and reboot.
1 means connected off standby active and 0.
Try it and see if it solves your problem.

BTW: by disabling the connected standby battery also will show the time remaining not only the percentage of battery life. :-)

  • Venue Pro 11 (7130): replacement SSD?

Does anyone know if you can replace the SSD in a venue Pro 11 (7130) and if so where you can get them from?

I had the same problem and after searching the internet forums that associated with a SSD for my Dell coming Pro 11 months replacement, I found a solution that works so far as well as the original SanDisk. I bought a 512 GB, Transcend, MTS600 P/N - TS512GMTS600, that I cloned from the factory using Acronis True Image 2014 drive. BTW, the cloning was working after disabling by default enabled encryption file. Hope that it will also be the solution for you.

This occurs because the BIOS is not enumerate the USB hub before posting the error message.   This was done to meet the needs of Microsoft QuickStart.  Unfortunately, this means that there is no way out of the loop of the error in the fact that you're stuck.   The new BIOS will solve this problem to proceed by turning the volume up and down to interact with this prompt, but which obviously does not help at this point.    At this point, the only solution is to swap the unit.   This probably occurred because the TPM secure has been activated and data property has been changed after that.

When you get your new machine, you can change the behavior of the PUBLICATION of the minimum depth (for that lists the USB), or flash A07 to resolve (when available).

    Sorry for the trouble.

  • Venue 11 Pro 7130 w / vPro - rate issues

This just started this weekend.  Of course, I had the unit for 10 days, so it could have been a problem before today and I noticed that just now.

My 11 Pro coming loses so that connected battery life and charge it at night while he was off , gave a load of only 15%.  I use 24w charger provided with the original cable.  I have my Dell Power Manager Express load value.

When I boot into the BIOS and click on battery with the plugged adapter information, he says it's an adapter of 3w.  It is obviously a problem.  I unplugged the adapter and plugged back into the micro-USB port.  He said then it is a 23w adapter and begins to load.  Large.  Until I realize that the '' correction '' lasts a few minutes, and my coming 11 Pro is to drain its battery while plugged in.

Everyone knows this?  Can I have a defective BIOS? Faulty hardware?

Well.  There is something wrong with the Mobo or port.  I tried a new charger with the same result - drains battery while that trendy, 24w adapter detected as 3w in the BIOS.  If I can't get Dell to a maintenance operation (unit refurb, apparently someone else still "owns" in the Dell documents), I'll have to send it back.

  • MacBook Pro 13 "(non-retine) is not responding"

My MacBook Pro started to act weird last night after I tried to update my software on the App Store and applications. I can't even check to see what operating system I currently have, because my computer won't let me open anything. It has been quite slow in the past two months as interim, but Ive been working on it, unlike my current situation, where the Rainbow of spinning whee turns just minutes without doing anything.

My cursor moves always and I did in fact just to empty my trash after waiting for it to click open after 5 minutes. Sometimes I can complete as actions of 3-4 until she begins to perform slowly again. But it took about half an hour to actually launch the finder after that I tried my fourth restart of the computer.

Ive tried to use force quit option to close the apps does not, but it does not close them. It freezes just once again.

is there anything I can try to solve this problem? Any suggestions are appreciated!

If you are able to select the option to restart under the Apple menu. If can not do then press and hold the Power button until the computer turns off. Wait ten seconds or more, then try this:

Repair the disk for El Capitan

    1. Restart the computer and after the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
    2. Disk utility and click on the continue button.
    3. Then select layouts withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume of the list to one side.
    4. Click the first aid tab on the toolbar and wait for the fact button to activate. Click it, and then quit disk utility.
    5. Select restart from the Apple menu.
  • Venue Pro 11 (7140) 64 bit Win 8.1 - Audio volume

Playing music from YouTube with the browser Tablet volume controls and the Max value, through the Tablet 1W speakers is clear, but the volume level is not optimal. The same is true when listening with head-phones is plugged. Memory, a few webcasts (product launch of MS for example recent) may have low volume levels available, and so with the tablet at maximum volume, these emissions could be difficult to follow.

When I connect the Tablet taken head-phone to an external sound system, the latter also the Max value, the noise level is not much better.

Is the maximum volume of the room 11 Pro 7140 (internal speakers and head phone port) is limited by design?

However, when I connect the tablet to a TV via an HDMI cable, the audio level of the TV is sufficient such that I can have the TV set at the level volume normal, or even turn it upward due to a level very hard! This suggests that the noise level in the HDMI cable is superior to the helmet of the tablet.

I also have the Dell docking station, and at the level of the headphone port is is not better than the tablet itself.

If there is no solution through a setting within the Tablet, it is perhaps possible to buy a USB2/3 device for the tablet that will give me an output signal line to the external sound system, to a level higher than that available from the helmet of the tablet.

    Any thoughts?

    JasKITS

    Hi Brian,.

    Thanks for your reply.

Solve the problem itself, and I now get a sufficient signal to drive the external audio system, the head-phone jack or the 7140, or the docking station, such that I don't need to adjust the maximum volume.

I don't know how it is resolved itself (maybe finger hurt), but I noticed as I now get a Dell Audio / Maxx Audio 3 pop up when the connection head-phones or the external audio system, asking "what plug in camera?

If the volume of the internal speaker (max value) is too low or not is debatable, but more a high-volume internal speakers probably would not be desirable in business scenarios for which the 7140 has been designed.

Thank you, James (Chichester, United Kingdom)

We are quite limited in what we can achieve for a maximum volume and a tone due to the limited size of the device.   I'm glad that the issue is resolved on its own.

It seems that it is a known problem. There are already other discussion forums discuss there including Microsoft... The problem occurs after you install Windows 8.1. Update 1 (KB2919355). It is already confirmed on many features including Room 8 and 11 Pro. MS has made some changes to the keyboard on the screen and re-installing the audio drivers does not help. That's what I discovered after it happened to my devices V8P and V11P.

  • Games on a venue Pro 7130 11 8/256?

I've taken over a 'exit - new' Pro 7130 coming 11 8/256 last week (dock keyboard and stylus too) and I'm crossing my fingers that there not any question that I saw posted here, especially in the 'Freeze' huge wire. If she has any questions I can do some troubleshooting, but probably will return it before my 30 days are up. I can't afford to be stuck with a defective Tablet this expensive and be unable to return.

In any case, my world is perfect with a 11 place works perfectly, I would like to make some plays of light on it. I have a ton of available older games I've bought over the years on Steam, Humble Bundle, GOG, etc., which I think could run. For example, games like Baldur's Gate 2, Defense Grid, FTL, Kingdom Rush, etc.

Recommendations for this table/CPU can manage well? I don't mind reducing the necessary resolutions game performance.

Has anyone connected a X 360 controller? If so, the problems with him?

I recently had the chance to try the same coming 11 Pro model and I can answer your questions for you safely. Intel HD 4200 of the vPro model isn't exactly hardcore gamer material but it will get the job done admirably well more often expect naturally. It is more than enough for one of the applications on the Store. It can also play several games of office before 2008 at the higher and somewhat more modern settings with medium or low settings. Referring to my own experience and that of other securities experienced, there is the series half-life series Jedi Knight, Star Wars Battlefront, Quake 4, Call of Duty 2 and Fear just to name a few.

Some recent games like Civilization 5 cannot be read to quick, but without fear. They are still able to work with low settings very well. If you are unsure if a game will work, just look to see if the minimum specifications specify if it can be played on a Radeon X 1950 XT (sometimes referred to as "Radeon X 1950 series") or the Geforce 7900 GTX (sometimes referred to as "Geforce 7900 series"). The reason why both of these desktop graphics is more old cards about position until, or offer the same performance as the Intel HD 4200. In any case, your tablet will be able to make the deal if one does.

I am pleased to say also that the Xbox 360 gamepad works well. As long as the game says that it supports a Xbox 360 controller, it will work on your Tablet coming 11 Pro.

  • Venue Pro 8 - Office pinch to zoom

I understand that MS in his infinite wisdom (and suicidal streak) has decided to ban the pinch and zoom on the desktop of Windows 8.  Is there a cure for this unimaginable decision?  Third is fine.

I can't use the SITE Pro 8 at the end I bought it without being able to control the app I want to demonstrate with her.  Without funding pinch and zoom, application controls are too small for my fingers to normal sizes interact effectively with.  In fact interactive elements on the desktop are usually unusable without pinch and zoom.  The "magnifying glass" is useless, and the device plays quite well with a stylus.

If I can't solve this problem, I'll have to return the purchase to Costco as unusable.

    Thank you

  • When I try to launch the Premiere Pro CS6 I get dynamiclinkmanager quit unexpectedly

And first Pro CC launches ever. And the dynamiclinkmanager window keeps coming, to the point that I can't do anything else that the window just keeps going forward. CS6 all works perfectly well.

I'm on a MacPro 4,1 running 10.8.4 with 24 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GTX 670 PC graphics card.

And honestly nothing works in the creative cloud. Adobe Media Encoder closes instantly. Adobe Photoshop seemed to open up, but force has sent me to this web page Forms http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/index.cfm?nf=1 & nl = 1 & productID = 598 & release = 1.0 & flat = 2 & local = en_US & source = PCSNOTIF who reads 413 header length too large and it freezes and starts the cycle of dynamiclinkmanager leave again. Illustrator says unable to print the illustration. Full disk error has occurred while it is printing, and then quit.

I got bridge cc to start, and that's all.

I tried the last thing I could think, reseting my directory permissions and acl using the command restore partition and the provider's ResetPassword (it really is too easy to reset your password!). It was a pain that I had to share my video card to do, but it's this morning and got the Premiere Pro and Media Encoder to open received. Failed. Download the first running with my video care Yes, as it seems there is a new CUDA driver and I don't have the time.

Photoshop opens as well, but when I tried to import my preferences old I got the same error message as above, but it worked eventually.

Keep test tonight when I get home.

  • Has no Audio after than Windows 10 Upgrade on the venue Pro 8

I upgraded my windows Pro 8.1 for Windows 10 8 coming.  After upgrading my audio system failed.  There is no speaker output.  I can't say for sure, but I guess that the microphone input has also failed.  I tried to address in trying to update the audio drivers, but Windows tells that the installed drivers are up-to-date.  In Device Manager there are two devices reported as follows
    (1) Intel ESS Audio Device (WDM): 604.10135.1010.531 driver Version, dated 25/05/2015.  and (2) codec Realtek Audio I2S: 604.10135.1010.531 driver Version, dated 25/05/2015.  is it okay to have 2 devices like this for audio?   I don't know how to check what audio system is actually present in the material for this tablet.  I'm a little nervous on the uninstallation of one or more of the devices in Device Manager without knowing what device is supposed to be there and where to find the correct driver.   Could someone point me to the correct process to diagnose and fix this?

    FIXED!

I solved the audio problem rolling back the drivers.   I followed the inst to the 3rd point of windows.microsoft.com/.../fix-sound-problems

Before doing so, I used the audio Panel to try to diagnose.  When I tried to use "set up" for reading and test selected, I got an error that the system couldn't procduce the sound to send to the President.

To make the repair, I selected these drivers that were somehow still available on my system.  For Intel ESS, I chose 603.9600.1948.30594 dated 22/11/2013.  This alone has not resolved the problem, because I then changed the driver for the I2S for: Realtek #6.2.9400.4028 dated 30/08/13.  After the system restarts, I returned the audio Panel to test.  SURPRISINGLY, I heard the test sound.

  • Venue Pro 8 shows only Logo Dell - frozen/stuck

    Hey gang!

Just got a cool coming 8 Pro.  I set up using my Microsoft ID and even downloaded a number of game (2048) without problem.  Later, I turned it on to mess with it more and now it shows me just the Dell Logo and never goes further (is stuck/frozen on the Dell logo).

I tried closing it / off repeatedly (see a post about a hard reset and another indicating that, if I did 8 times, it would reset the whole device for me) does not.  It automatically stops when I hold the Start button /, but when I turn it back on, it just sits at the Dell Logo.

What is happening with only 20 minutes of use, so something weird must have happened...  Any ideas of the community?  This happened yesterday and it is always the case - thanks in advance guys!

    Simply contact customer support.

If you want to try to see what is happening, you can try to boot into BIOS (power up to what dell logo, then press flight down). See if there are weird things in your bios or try to return to the default setting.

If you can't even boot in the bios then contact customer support.

  • Windows 10 build 9926 unusually heavy use of CPU on the venue Pro 7130 i3 11

Define how the other owners of 11 Pro 7130 meeting places had good success in the management of the Windows 10 preview, I conducted today a place in upgraded from 8.1 to 10 build 9926 (the one with the Continuum, which is great), but I'm having the issue of constant between 50 and 99 percent high CPU load , with no guilty in the Task Manager. Before you go to format and do a clean install I wanted to ask if anyone knew this problem.

EDIT: the unusually high load seems to be triggered by a process called Windows Driver Foundation - user, whose executable mode driver is wudfhost.exe.

A complete reinstallation did not help.

EDIT 2: If someone experience the problem, disable completely the service named "Windows Driver Foundation - user-mode driver framework" helped, with seemingly no ill effects, although after weird restarting it may need to be disabled later.

As a warning, I note how in general, it is never a good idea to go mucking in services.msc.

Some information about my experience with the Windows preview 10, the two pre - and after Cortana on a Dell coming Pro 11:

    1. Builds before the last Technical Preview 9926 looked much more like Windows 8.1

      1. They shared the same start menu and app store. It was almost like 8.1 with all it's bugs ironed out - and a few goodies in. Really worked well on my V11P.
    2. 9926 build adds many new features - but also adds tons of bugs.
      1. Look around the net and you will see common problems that are corroborated by many users of the technique of the preview. You will have to take the good with the bad.
    3. Upgrades (from 8.1 to 10) on-site are problematic - ESPECIALLY with the most recent Technical Preview 9926
      1. My installation of the latest version of Win10, migrate my settings 8.1 resulted in an installation with tons of questions. My Active stylus barely worked - sensor HID driver will fail to load and having problems. He would go to the mode standby and never go on low power, draining my battery. He had 100% fail still to wake up from its sleep - I would get a black screen that requires a hard shutdown and reboot. I also had the CPU usage very high with the WDF service. As mentioned above.
      2. Overall, a lot of things online really as you can imagine - and this is frankly not worth it to upgrade on site.

So, with that said - what was the solution?

    New installation.

Here are the steps to get the best Windows 10 installation on a coming 11 Pro (I know - in my experience).

    1. Download the version of ISO - installation of a USB disk with the utility in Rufus

      1. Boot on it by pressing volume up several times during boot up until you get the boot menu. Then use volume up to move to the bottom of the list - low volume to select the highlight boot device.
      2. After the installation of the key USB - copy the most recent copy of Dell Wireless driver for your Intel/Dell Wireless card, a copy of 7-zip, and a copy of the latest Dell cabin Pack for the 7130 file in a directory on the USB drive (make one, name drivers or something).
    2. Install the Windows technical overview 10
      1. Delete all partitions on disk 0 (or whatever your SSD) until you have one unpartitioned space - and install it.
    3. When you first - start your screen will be slow/choppy as all hell!
      1. This is mainly due to the fact that there are very few compatible drivers cooked in Windows 10.
    4. Do not start to install the drivers from the Dell site - many will prove to be obsolete.
      1. Only install the drivers from Dell/Intel Wireless to obtain network connectivity and the internet
      2. Then install 7 - Zip and extract the CAB Driver Dell file in a directory on your C:\ called "C:\Dell.
    5. Now you have a network connection - start Windows Update

    1. Windows different Intel chipset - including video device drivers will begin to download.
    2. It will ask to reboot - let him.
  • Now - if your tablet is something like mine - after it restarts, it will start flickering like hell.
    1. This is the video driver Intel panic hell. Tablet may hang - just persist through the pain and continue.
    2. I found mine to panic more with the help of the touchscreen - so I plugged a mouse.
    3. Mine has been fixed by disabling "Auto Refresh Panel" in the Intel graphics options menu (click Law Office, Graphics Options). This setting can be found under the section power options.
      1. Do it and restart. My flicker ceased thereafter.
  • At this point - I expected and wanted things worked, but open Device Manager
    1. (Start menu - type "Device Manager") - or-(Start Menu-> Control Panel-> Device Manager)
    2. There was a last device without driver SM Bus controller. Click - Update right driver and point it to the directory of D:\Dell you have extracted the CAB file.
    3. It was't until what I installed the driver for the device that he would go to sleep properly connected.
  • Now - a word of warning. Unlike earlier versions of win 10 - my Eve connected sessions drain about 1, 500 MW/h. That's what I saw in 8.1 Win no matter what I tried - I wonder if there is some sort of driver problem - and replacement needs. My sleep study reports show some offenders - everything works for less than 1% of the sleep cycle, but the material is not a descendant to C3 to sleep, which is where the power drain is. Looks like a driver chipset of a certain type of malfunction - I'll do a trace and try to isolate the problem.

Apart from that-, all has been MUCH more stable. Sleep (although draining the battery) are coherent rock, I have the high utilization of the processor in the stronger WDF service, and the active stylus works exactly as it should.

I'll stop it between uses for now - and keep stable and see if there is a driver chipset or something that solves this problem.

  • Venue pro 11 evaluate what is status.

OK, so I just bought a used place pro from ebay. The guy seemed to think it was still in warranty and part text of presentation seems to point to a guarantee of 3 years and another part a 8 year warranty but it says also expired. I've added it to my products do not know if you can see). Also I got a keyboard with it that seems to have a bash on it and stands on the right side too easily. Not sure if the keyboard is even covered yet, but it looks like a such simple fix just the tiny triangular plug looks like slightly broken. Is it possible that I can get info on if I can get repair or if it will cost you about etc? Also, I recorded the video and it has a great height on each record noise is this normal? I need to test a lot on that is there any test software advice pages etc. as well? Thank you!

To update all drivers and BIOS.   There is a difficulty driver audio for the high-pitched noise.   For warranty, contact support with the service tag for the status.   They can also set up an out of warranty repair if necessary.
