11g: deployment of WebLogic failing (data sources)

Hello!

Now, I'm trying to deploy my application ADF BC/Faces RC to an external server in WebLogic.
I have deploy a WAR file. But the data connection is missing and my application reports that the connection was not found.

My WAR file inspection, I realized that the connections.xml file is not deployed... for some reason any. Also, the store of credentials is not deployed.
Very well, I thought. So I don't have to convert the store of credentials on the external server. We will use a data source.

So I tried to change the configuration of my AM to a data source (java: comp/env/jdbc/MEDORADS).

In WebLogic, I have created the data source with JNDI name ' comp/env/jdbc/MEDORADS', set up the database (the test succeeded) and he attributed to target AdminServer. Then I transferred my application to AdminServer.

When I now call the application, I get a: "failed JNDI. "Impossible to search for Source of data in the context of java: comp/env/jdbc/MEDORADS ' and a 'while trying to get comp/env/MEDORADS in app/webapp/cockpit.war/32181625."

What am I doing wrong or what I I don't have it to do?
I admit that I am new to sources of data in this context, since our web modules all use dynamic JDBC credentials.

All I want to do is to deploy my application on a demo server without complaint.

Please, any help is welcome.

Sascha

Hello

If you have created the data source on weblogic properly the only thing is to change the java: comp/env/jdbc/MEDORADS for jdbc/MEDORADS in yout request module.

Define the JNDI name as jdbc /CreateInvDBconnDS instead of CreateInvDBconn

What makes research JNDI as java: comp/env/jdbc/CreateInvDBconnDS with java: comp/env/added by default.

ADF expects this JNDI name to start with jdbc / and end with the DS.

  • Allow the application to start with one or multiple data sources, failing to connect?

I have a Spring application that connects to several databases at the start, through JEE definitions referenced via JNDI datasource. Some of these databases sometimes go offline for various reasons. If the application is running at the time, it is not really dangerous, because of the way the application is designed. However, if I try to start the server if the database is offline, the application fails to deploy. Is it possible I can configure data sources not to block the deployment of the application if the database is offline or the application?

Hello. You can ensure that your datasources WebLogic deployment, even if the DBMS (es)
be down in time, specifying the initial capacity of each source of data/pool equal to zero.

    Hello

    Follow these steps:

1 stop of applications using stopweblogic.sh

    2. closing of the database

    3 judgment of the listener.

    Now,.

    1. start the listener

    2. start the database

    3. start weblogic.

    It will work I guess

    Kind regards

  • WebLogic ResourceLimitException with the JNDI data source

I deployed a third web application on my Weblogic Server and this application connects to the Oracle database using the JNDI data source that I defined in my weblogic server. Now, while I use the web app, I don't see any problems and after accessing the request for some time, it throws an exception like below-

weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceLimitException: No resources currently available in pool test_db to allocate to applications, please increase the size of the pool and retry.. caused by: weblogic.jdbc.extensions.PoolLimitSQLException

I have increased the size of the pool earlier and I do not use the web app for a few hours, then when I started to use it, then I get this error. How can I debug this problem using my Weblogic Server? Is there a log file which contains details on why all connections are still used?

It could be connection leak problem and haveInitialCapacity and MaxCapacity the same value(higer).

    Enable TestConnectionsOnReserve and check.

Selectinactive-connection-timeout-seconds to check for the connection leak.

    Hope this helps.

Debug JDBC and Debug JDBC Connection would give more information on the issue, make sure you increase the logging severity as well.

  • How to use datasource jndi in Weblogic instead of add a DB data source

    Hi all

    version: 11.1.1.4

I'm trying to understand how in my ADF applications I use a datasource jndi existing on our servers weblogic instead of having to bury the source database db in my adf applications. As SOA, I would refer to the DB directly in the design so that I can pull in entities and build display objects, but when I deploy I want it references on the weblogic Server jndi datasource.

Is this possible? If so I don't know how to configure it as I would a DB adapter in SOA.

    As always, appreciate the info.

    Thank you

    S

If you use ADF in the model layer (application modules) you can configure them to use JNDI Datasources. Just right click on the application module and select "Configurations."... ». In the next dialog box, you see all currently available configurations (named xxxxxlocal and a xxxxxshared named at least). Select local and press change. This opening of the DB connection dialog where you can change the connection of the JDBC URL of JDBC (JNDI) data source. Save your work, and when you start now use the JNDI name.

  • Storage of the client in the SQL data source fails all of a sudden

After performing several Windows 2008 security updates last night, one of the sites started throwing errors related to access to the client storage database, which is the default value as defined by the CF Administrator:
coldfusion.runtime.ClientScopeDBException: operation failed on the source of data DATA source NAME.
Reason of failure java.security.AccessControlException: access denied.

Most of our sites use this data source for storage of client, and none of them have the problem.
Editing the file Application.cfm to use clientstorage = "cookie" got the site up.
I then added a NEW data source to the list of storage Client and set the Application.cfm file to use instead.
This works. As sson as I remove the Application.cfm file clientstorage attribute, the site breaks.
Short to reboot the server (which happened last night after the updates), I restarted IIS all related services.
    Any ideas?

Java security error, huh? You know, I had missed that in your first note. (He says he is, "reason for failure java.security.AccessControlException: access denied".)

I'm starting to wonder now: what is a CF Enterprise Deployment? It is configured (in the CF Admin) to use what is called "Security Sandbox"? If so, the problem might be that this one app is in a sandbox that has not been configured to access the DSN. Sandboxes are configured for all code running in a given directory (and its subdirectories), which would explain this work for everyone, but this one.

Purging of customer data is quite drastic, if data are important for your application. I recommend you try this if you have a little more time.

If you're reading this I would like to learn more about Sandbox security, in addition to the docs, you can read more in some articles that I did for the Dev Center a few years previously, to http://www.adobe.com/devnet/security/articles/sandbox_01.html and http://www.adobe.com/devnet/security/articles/sandbox_02.html. While it was written in the period of CF6, it still applies to the 7 and 8.

  • Create the data source NoSQL Oracle using Oracle Weblogic 11 g

    Hello

I'm working on a VINE by which I want to connect NoSQL Oracle database with Oracle Weblogic11g as a new source of data in Oracle Database 11 g of accompaniment.

So my question is that Oracle Weblogic 11 g support NoSQL Oracle database as a data source OR can I plug NoSQL Oracle database as the source of data with Oracle Weblogic11g?

    Thank you...

    Hello

By 'data source' I assume you mean a JDBC data source. Is this fair?

If so, please be aware that NoSQL DB does not support SQL or JDBC, although these features can be added in the future. Currently, to access data in the NoSQL database from your application, you must use the Java APIs in the pilot of the client which is included in the package. Please see the Starter Guide for more information.

    That answer your question?

  • Connection verification failed for data source - mysql.jdbc.Driver

I get this message when you try to add a mySQL (don't ask) database in CF Admin checking the connection failed for data source: shownets java.sql.SQLException: no suitable driver available for shownets, please don't check the configuration in the file resources, pilot error: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver

The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: no suitable driver available for shownets, please don't check the configuration in the file resources, pilot error: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver I tried all sorts of messages instructions and nothing seems to work.  It's on my 32-bit platform. Tryng to get out all the bugs before I installed the 64-bit version.

It seems that you have recently installed Coldfusion. I say this because recent versions of Coldfusion no longer ships with JDBC to MySQL driver. You must therefore download and install it yourself.

To do this, go to the download page of the MySQL JDBC driver. Select the platform independent as a platform connector. Download the ZIP file independent of the platform mysql-connector-java - x.x.xx.zip. (x.x.xx represents the version number)

Extract the ZIP file. Open the folder that results and search for the driver. It is a JAR file called mysql-connector-java - x.x.xx - bin.jar (x.x.xx represents the version number). Copy the file in the directory lib to Coldfusion.

Restart Coldfusion. Voila - you're ready to go.

  • IOM 9.1.0.2 - Multi Weblogic JDBC for Oracle RAC Data Sources

IOM-IOM 9.1.0.2 BP07 supports Weblogic JDBC Multi Data Sources (Services > JDBC > Multi Data Sources) for Oracle RAC instead of insert the "Oracle RAC JDBC URL" on xlDS and xlXADS JDBC Data Sources (Services > JDBC > Data Sources > xlDS | xlXADS > survey login > URL)?
If so, are there any other changes that must be made on IOM, or simply to change data sources?

Yes, it is supported. You install against a single instance directly of the Rac server. Then you update the file config.xml and jdbc resources in your server weblogic with the full address of rac. It is documented for installation against CARS. http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E14049_01/doc.9101/e14047/database.htm#insertedID2

  • Restart WebLogic Server and JDBC data source problem

    Hi all

In the Weblogic Console, we have defined a data source JDBC, which is used by the compoistes to connect to the Oracle Apps database using DB adapters (SOA Suite 11 g).

We have seen that whenever the database of applications down and Monte, we wanted to restart the WLS for DB adapters work. Is this necessary, or is this something to do with the way was Weblogic Server setup?

In addition, we noticed that some adapters file does not pick up the files, and a Weblogic reboot seems to fix everything.

Pointers to debug these highy is appreciated.

    Concerning
    Anish.

You can configure your data source so that the connections are tested until they are given to the request.

An example of how to do it can be found here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/jdbc/jdbc_datasources/ConfigureTestingOptionsForADataSource.html

More information about these features can be found here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/pagehelp/JDBCjdbcdatasourcesjdbcdatasourceconfigconnectionpooltitle.html#advancedAttributes

You can also set how often to retry on the creation of the connection to another value to zero.

  • Failed to connect to the data source of the network

My access.mdb is located in the folder of public sharing of server1 (everyone has the right to change or remove) and I try to connect my access.mdb to my cold fusion Server (windows 2003 r2 std). It works if I put the mdb locally, but not network.

    I got this error

Connection verification failed for data source: cfmydata
com.inzoom.adojni.ComException: a file name not valid.
The root cause was that: com.inzoom.adojni.ComException: invalid not a file name. in the Microsoft JET Database Engine = 0 code Type = 1

The coldfusion service runs under the administrator user and the password. I used the UNC path, but still no luck.

Someone has an idea for me.

I thought about it. Well, not really. I've used ACCESS with Unicode. Once I changed to ACCESS only. The connection is successfully verified.

Thank you for all your help paross1
