12.3.3 iTunes for Windows crashes (win 7 64 bit) and library (including the playlist) seems to be missing

Just installed (after receiving messages from updated iTunes/Apple SW) iTunes 12.3.3 but after starting the program and a brief overview 2 second iTunes library crashed.

10 times the same exercise, it seems slightly more stable but library went again (will try to copy an older file).

When you install a version older pages to support Apple my library can be interpreted as 'created with a newer version.

Help

I just used this EXCELLENT article fromturingtest2 to revert to the previous version

https://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-6562#versions

and this has solved my problem.

There's something not right with the 12.3.3, Version, so I'll avoid installing this one for now...

  • How do "Ctrl-click" in iTunes for Windows

I'm trying to archive a backup.  Status of "Ctrl-click" instructions on the specific backup that is displayed on the screen.

iTunes normally manages a backup bearing for each device unless you restore a backup, in which case it is archived and a new backup bearing created. On a Mac, you can get iTunes to duplicate a backup set, but this feature is not copied into iTunes for Windows. You can do a manual to copy the backup set in C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup and give it a file name ending in - yyyymmdd-hhmmss but iTunes doesn't show all with a different name in the backup list, probably if one is the active backup for a device time update on the next backup.

  • used to install iTunes for windows

Last update of itunes did not or does not install.  Download installation errors.  TBH, I tried so many solutions I forgot if the following was the original errors.  But is not serious... This is what is happening.

Windows 10 PC.  I tried most of the solutions I found.  Through solutions offerred in HT204275.  Then I uninstalled itunes and its related components and services (software update support for mobile devices, Hello, and 32 and 64 application support).  And folders deleted, etc.  Rebooted, restarted in SafeMode etc etc.  Same mistakes.

    1 error security file C:\... \kdrl\GetLastError:5

    2. failed to start services.

    3. Repeat steps 1.

I also tried to install the component by component after the opening of itunes6464setup.exe to winrar.

Basically, it gives me the - error getting file security.  After trying to install apple application support. 32 and 64.

Go to Mobile Device Support I selected and tried both repair and installation.  Nevertheless he gves me a cannot start service error.  I tried to start it manually, it does not start.  But it says the software good lol (mobiledevicesupport) installed.  Oh is morning then it installs OK, whoopee.  I go to itunes itself 6464.exe.  Will loop to the application supports the error.

I also tried the solution of adding permissions to a file that I don't remember now.  Also used windows install cleanup utility.

I am at a loss.  What bothers me, it's too much I'm subscribed to itunes in icloud and itunes game.  good luck getting a refund lol

I suspect that you should remove the file mentioned in the 1. above.

I need to download the latest version of iTunes for Windows 64-bit 10. When I go to download, the "Download" button does not work. If I go over it, there is no hyperlink to the download site. Is there another mirror where I can download it directly?

The download button uses javascript to trigger the correct download for your platform, or at least should be.

If you have trouble downloading the installation file from iTunes to the current address try; Uncheck the box "Keep me updated", clearing your browser cache, changing the settings of the blocker of pop-up, right click or ctrl - click on the download button, using a different browser, or by using the direct links of here.

  • iTunes for Windows XP does not start.

iTunes for Windows XP 12.1.3.6 will not start when I click the icon. He worked this morning. I reinstalled, but it still won't start.

    Hey wlubarsky,

If your iTunes application cannot start, please try upgrading your Windows operating system. You can review the below iTunes system requirements

    Software:
    Windows 7 or later
64-bit of Windows 7 and Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit Installer. For more information, visit www.itunes.com/download
400 MB of available disk space
Screen reader support requires Window-Eyes 7.2 or later version; For more information about accessibility in iTunes, visit www.apple.com/accessibility
iTunes is now a 64-bit application on 64 bit versions of Windows 8 and 7. Some third-party viewers may no longer be compatible with this version of iTunes. Please contact the developer for a viewer compatible with iTunes update 12.1 or later

Once you get your Windows operating system updated, iTunes will work as it should.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support

  • I am trying to download and install Itunes for Windows 10 - the download file is labeled itunes6464. When I try to install, I get an error message saying that I can't install this program on a PC?

New HP laptop, Intel processor running Windows 10 (so I find it almost impossible to find something useful on the computer system - I'm NOT a fan of Windows 10).

(I have a Mac and an iPhone at home, so am very familiar with iTunes)

Downloaded iTunes for PC version 12.3.3 (which shows in my downloads as iTunes6464.exe)

But when I try to install the package I get an error message saying "you cannot install this program on a PC. Contact the Publisher of the software. »

No previous iTunes installs on this computer... I have on this machine - it's the only other Apple Quicktime software.

I'll hop on the site of HP support too, but would like to help here, if they are available.

Specific advice Apple seem to be uninstall QuickTime, it should no longer be necessary and has a few potential security vulnerabilities. See Uninstall QuickTime 7 for Windows - Apple Support.

Assuming that you have a 64 bit system, this facility expected to be compatible. For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates. More information area has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, need to install an older version , or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with third-party software. • iTunes for Windows XP download

    Hello

How is it going? I did several searches on Google a lot in my quest to find an iTunes that will download for Windows XP and I am unable to find one that works. Any link to a download of iTunes for Windows XP would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Supported on Windows XP (or Vista) has been removed when Apple iTunes 12.2 released last year.  The latest (and certainly last) version in support of XP is 12.1.3.6 - this is an out-of-sequence of September 2015 version that adds support for iOS devices 9, but has no music to Apple and other features added in iTunes, 12.2 and 12.3.  Links for the installer:

This, however, will not be a solution in the long term as its very little unlikely that Apple will release more updates to support the new features of iOS on old Microsoft OSs.  Any PC running under that Windows XP is likely to be exceeded its operational life and (even reversing the vulnerabilities to viruses and other malware) is going to be prone to failures of major equipment - hard drives and power supplies in particular.

No preference, but there is a solution. See moving backup iOS device. See the rest of the tip of the user to do a split cell library if the library files and the media folder are on different drives.

  • Installation of ITunes for Windows 10 and get some error messages

Try to install ITunes as well as the installation will not end.  Keeps telling me that he needs AppleApplicationSupport to finish so I run the. EXE who independently before ITunes and get a failure during that move as well.  This is the latest version of ITunes and the correct installation of 64-bit.  The latest version of the package C++ Redist etc.  Also send a message that Apple Mobile Device Service could not start.

The message "an error occurred during the installation of assembly ' Microsoft.VC80.CRT, type ="win32", version ="8.0.50727.6195", publicKeyToken ="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture is...» "may occur because a particular library file is not included in the supplied with iTunes distribution package or will not be installed because some unspecified reason. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC security update before you attempt to reinstall iTunes can help.
