1245 dv7 laptop / Vista OS upgraded to win 7 Pro motherboard / news / error 1005

So connected and using my laptop, he spends the white screen-to-screen saver.  When I tried to turn it on, I got only a flashing light.  I sent the laptop in a program of insurance-for repair.  They have installed a new motherboard and said that my OS is slow and that my battery was no longer functioning.  Before taking out the motherboard, these were not problems.  I am unable to get the option wireless and I kept getting a message that my OS is not a genuine product.

As suggested, I started to reset the unit to factory settings.  I inserted the recovery disk and began performing the recovery.  He started to download files and went on for several minutes, then I got the error 1005.  (several times)  I rebooted the recovery and tried to get the recovery to run from the hard drive, but he must have already formatted the hard drive.  When you try this I get "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key".

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can try to download an iso of Hiren's boot CD and run HDAT2 tool 4.9B1 will be to repair and test your drive HARD, or HDD Regenerator if you

I was happy to see that the hatd drive had already installed because Windows 7 I had bought already separate legitimate Windows 10 Pro license key for the upgrade. I was able to go online and download the upgrade of Windows 10 and used my purchased license key to activate my updated.

While doing the installation, there are some HP software that was still on the hard drive. I thought it would be good to have some additional security protocols, so I also installed the WinMagic Securedoc Bootloader v1.2.12 and saved the drive encryption HP with the security issues and password for secondary access.

10 Windows has been activated and everything was beautiful. But when I restarted the laptop, I put my password for windows and then it goes to this screen of disc HP encryption rises. I put the password and it is accepted - and then the screen turns white... not offshore... jblank TEU with a cursor flashing that doesbn can't react to inputs.

Sorry... I missed the part that you have a license Win10.  I thought you were trying to activate 10 using the OEM HP license and causing problems.

I do not use HP encryption applications - as having recently completed a career in the InfoSec, I personally focus together on the encryption of the PC to be laughable-, but my guess is that you are basically out of luck.

If it was my drive, I WIPE the drive of all its content and then again install Win10.  A good product to do i.e. DBan: http://tiptopsecurity.com/how-to-securely-wipe-your-hard-drive-with-dban-erase-your-data-for-good/

Once your disc is clean, then simply install Win10 on it.

That said, with a bit of luck, one of the HP EXPERTS will probably come along and tell you how to get around their encryption.

    Good luck

  • Installation upgrade to Win 7 Pro 64 Full

I have a PC (can call PC - 1) with Vista installed. I've upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and all sorts of problems.

I bought a copy of OEM Win 7 Pro 64 and install it on a new hard drive on this PC-1. He works very, very well. So far, I'm very happy.

The old hard drive on PC - 1 is out of the computer in a shelf with no use. He has my Windows 7 Pro upgrade in it.

I bought a brand new similar (PC-2) computer and a new hard disc, so now I have:

-PC-1 with a new drive hard and nine OEM win 7 64 bit install and works perfectly... and

-PC-2 with a new hard drive in which I tried to install my (legal) original of the upgrade to Win 7 Pro 64, but I didn't want to not install Vista first, because I'm having the same problems that I had in the first place, so I install as a full version. At the point where he asks me my product key that I copied from the sticker in the present case, he tells me is not a valid product key.

What should I do to use this copy of Windows 7 Pro in my new hard drive, but do not install Vista first?

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

You can not install the upgrades on a blank disc.

  • Win 7 to 10 to win on another laptop computer without upgrading my Win 7

I'll buy a new laptop that comes with no OS so I was wondering if I could use my product key 7 victory to install win 10 on this news. Keep in mind that I have not upgraded my win 7 to win 10 in my laptop current.

    Thank you

No, you can't. The current cell if its either retail or OEM is already active and in use on the current laptop.

Also, if the license of Windows 7 is pre-installed, you can not transfer it.

So you will need to purchase a new license for Windows 10, download it, and then perform a new installation.

From what I've read about the specifications of your computer, it had Windows 8 core and not Windows 8 Pro from the factory.  When you update the store Windows or Windows Update, Windows will search the version you have on the system and download the appropriate version.

If you feel that the above is not correct, do a factory restore using the recovery or recovery that hopfully disks Manager, you created when you first got the computer and check the installed system.

  • can I reuse my retail ultimate vista after upgrading to windows 8 pro

I read somewhere that after upgrading my Vista Ultimate retail copy to Windows Pro I can reuse the key product & Vista Ultimate DVD on another computer, is - it true?

    Thank you

    No, it is not true.

If you upgraded from Vista to Windows 8 using the Vista license under the qualification of license, the license of Vista becomes an integral part of the legal license of 8 Windows and you are not allowed to install Vista on another computer.
