I saw your message with the error on booting. From my research, it seems that need you an installation disc if the repair disk does not work. I found only a few detailed steps on this problem of fixing on this third-party site. They double boots of origin displays with Linux, but you can just skip this part. The repair disc, you have created the exact same operating system of Windows 7? For example, you do not need to use a Windows 7 Basic to repair a Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • Error code: 0xc0000225

    Hello!

On my Elitebook 850 with Windows 8.1 G1, now the 0xc0000225 error code appears.

On Windows xp, 7, 8 and 8.1, I never had a problem with SpeedFan (to indicate temperatures in my notebooks), and it worked fine until I got the Windows updates for 8.1.  Error messages appeared. So I tried to see if it works in safe mode... is when the trouble started.

I had already done a recovery flash drive on a memory stick before it happened, and when I insert it now and Press f9 I have the option "External hard drive USB" and that choosing the stick led flashes for a few minutes, then I get choose the language and keyboard map.

After that I go to 'Advanced Options' (the others don't work) and choose "Recovery of System Image" > "Windows 8.1".

Windows on a panel says that it cannot find a system on this same computer image when I attach an external hard drive with a backup of the system on it, so I cancel that and choose the "Advanced" option

    He 2 options appear:

    1. "looking for a system image on the network' (I have no connection nor a network.)

    2 install a driver.

Choose option 2, I'm coming to a place where I can choose 'My Computer', where I see:

    "Local drive (" C").

    "RECOVERY (" D").

"SAMSUNG (E" (the external drive with the complete system and incremental backups on it [made with a free software called "Backupper"]) ").

"Boot (X (the flash memory stick drive.)).

From there I don't know how to proceed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    PS:

After the display of the above, I see the ': 'and') ' turned into smileys... as well.

Problem solved! I found a tutoral video, and it's that I posted just below:

    ...................................................

"Fortunately I did a recovery flash drive on a memory stick." By inserting, turn on the laptop and typing on f9, the LED on the stick flashed for about 2 minutes. Then I could get to the command-line through troubleshooting > advanced options.

    I didn't type immediately in: bootrec /rebuildbcd
After that, I typed in: output
Then click on the upper right corner X so closed to the command prompt. Now, I was back on the bright blue screen and chose the closure of the computer option.

Much to my surprise very happy that my familiar desktop screen has appeared in a few seconds! »

As the title says I'm having HUGE problems currently. I can't get my PC to work more. The error tells me to put on the Windows Vista CD - wich in fact, I did. But surprise - if I put in the disc, nothing happens. I tried to google the problems - and now I'm really clueless. I would REALLY love if someone could help me!

    Hi Draxion,

    A. when it last work very well?

    B. recent changes made on your computer?

    C. do you have external devices attached to your computer?

    D. when exactly do you get this error?

    E. did you restart your computer after you put the vista disc in the drive?

You can try the following steps.

    Step 1

Last known good configuration is a Windows startup option that uses the most recent system settings that worked correctly.

    Step 2

Check if you are able to boot in safe mode.

    Step 3

Try to perform a repair of the boot using your vista DVD. You must use a retail or a reinstallation disc disc to perform this step. Here is the link for the Startup Repair.

  • 0xc0000225 error code - request installation media for Windows 8

I recently got an Inspiron 15R SE 7520 with pre-installed Windows 8. It has a huge 1 TB hard drive, I decided to divide it into three easier to manage partitions and proceeded to do so using EaseUS Partition Master. When you restart the system, I got the following error message:

    Recovery

Your PC needs to be repaired

A required device is not connected or is not accessible.

    Error code: 0xc0000225

You will need to use the tools of recovery on your installation media. If you don't have any facility (such as a disc or USB device) support, contact your system administrator or the PC manufacturer

    Press Enter to try again

    Press F8 for startup parameters

Press ESC for UEFI firmware settings

    1. you press on enter. Nothing happens

    2. press F8. Managed to find the option "restore factory settings". Saved and restarted. Nothing happens.

3 press Esc. Ran the system diagnostics and a few hours later, the result is that everything is fine. Restarted and I'm back to the blue screen with the first message.

I googled this problem, and all the proposed solutions begin by booting from the Windows installation CD/DVD and run a command at the command prompt. But:

I don't have any medium of installation of Windows and I can't go to the command prompt.

    I not create recovery discs.

And the recovery on the hard drive partition does not work.

    My request:

I obviously need an installation of Windows 8 media. How can I get? I contacted the store where I got the laptop, but they are not you answer, and the application form, I found online does not work for the United Kingdom.

A final update on this issue:

I got the DVD of the shop where I got my laptop since. But I couldn't boot from the DVD automatically.  in order to boot from the DVD, I followed the instructions here: http://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/110162/Add+Boot+Option+using+Insydeh20+setup+utility

After booting from the DVD, I got to the command prompt, and then run the commands like here: http://itsolutionsblog.net/solution-to-your-pc-needs-to-be-repaired/

! BUT! The last command line does not. It must be

    BCDboot c:\Windows /s /f UEFI z:

without the : after the f. And then, there is a confirmation message that the boot files have been created

And then my cell phone was able to start normally.

  • HP 250 Portable G2: 0xc0000225 error code. Hard drive is not accessible, computer laptop HP 250 G2

I'm doing a clean Windows 8.1 64-bit as a result of a fall, but I'm getting 0xc0000225 error code, using built-in HP recovery utility. Installing Windows also says: Windows could not retrieve information about the disks on this computer. Kindly help. Thank you

If your computer is originally shipped with Windows preinstalled by HP (as it should) - it would be better to use the HP recovery media that will repair Windows, applications, and all the default partition to factory. It will use the license of your machine for Windows and should automatically active Windows after installation.

If you are using the 8.1 Windows installation media, you may need a facility to post license Win (depending on the type of used windows).

-If you want to use the original that are preinstalled windows, you can get a HP recovery media as described above

-If you are using the 8.1 Windows installation disc and install Windows from using your driver's license, follow these steps:

1 boot from the Windows DVD
    2. click on install now
    3. in the configuration screen, click Custom (Advanced)
    4. click on Drive Options
    5. Select the partitions to format
    6. click on Format - this will delete EVERYTHING on this partition - format and delete all partitions
    7. create a new partition, and then select a partition to install Windows on.
    8. continue the installation.

If the Windows installation disc does not work for the above you can do the following to reformat your hard drive:
    1. download a Gparted ISO from here:
    http://gparted.org/LiveCD.php

2 burn the ISO to a CD or DVD
    2. start from the CD/DVD of Gparted disk.
    3. use Gparted to delete all partitions on the hard disk.
    4. under 'Device' choose Create Partition Table to a new table partition.
    5. create a NTFS partition (or you can wait and create a partition during the installation of Windows).

Finally, boot from the Windows installation disc and install Windows.

Let me know if it works for you

I decided to do a restore to factory on my HP Stream x 360 Convertible PC and only got halfway through and said that he was able to complete the factory restore.  He wouldn't do anything to get out of this error message, so I restarted the computer.  It now only starts with the HP Logo and reboots, time and again the HP logo.  I tried to do the recovery through the bios, but I got the error mess "error Code 0 x 0000225.  It doesn't let me do anything else.  I don't have a recovery disk.  I used another program of the partition of the diisk and they seem to be there.  It must have been some files that have become corrupt or foires somehow.  I need to know how I can get a recovery disk or usb drive?  I'm really upset because I've had this laptop for a few weeks.  Thank you in advance.

  • HP Elitebook 850 G1 (Windows 8.1) 0xc0000225 error Code

    Hello!

At the suggestion of The Great Deku Tree (HP support officer) I post this here, after the first had done so elsewhere on this forum: http://tinyurl.com/lms4hbj

I copy the sollution here which I had found in a clip video tutorial:

Due to incompatibility of the software with Windows 8.1, I got error code 0xc000025 on a blue screen.

Fortunately, I did a recovery drive on a flash memory stick. By inserting, turn on the laptop and typing on f9, the LED on the stick flashed for about 2 minutes. Then I could get to the command-line through troubleshooting > advanced options.

    I didn't type immediately in: bootrec /rebuildbcd

To my surprise very happy that my familiar desktop screen appears in a few seconds after I pushed the button! (SSD is great!)

So here's this video and I just followed the instructions starting at 11:40.

In the meantime I don't know yet how to do a restore on my Elitebook 850 Windows 8.1 use the flash drive, I did on a memory stick.

I've had as shown on the photos I did of the screen. Via "This PC", I could see the C partition and connected it to the flash illustrated in D (recovery) and X drive. These are that both are the same memory stick with nothing else on it, but the recovery software.

I did not know how to activate this software to restore my laptop, and still know would ' t.

If someone of experience with this (after doing a recovery on an Elitebook 850 G1 with Windows 8.1 using a flash drive) be my guest... the post below please.

I guess that I'm not the only person who doesn't know how to do it. And I have not found a tutorial effective on this point, although I searched and saw a little, but none involving a flashdrive so far.

I have experience catering G62 Notebook HP with Windows 7 on it - a breeze-as well as with the G62 Compaq with Windows - Easy - 8 but after upgrade to 8.1 on my Elitebook it became a very different story which I have not yet figured out...
