  Hello! So I recently had my laptop, about 2 weeks and it worked fine so far. The Google Chrome browser has been unresponsive (I guess because I opened it an update trying to be installed) so I decided to restart the computer (after the update was not, of course, not during) he asked if I wanted to cancel the reboot or strength; I chose to force the reboot. Now, I've been sittung here for an hour and a half waiting for him! Ive even tried to force a manual shutdown by holding the power button, but again that used to do anything! (I held for 20 sec)

  So I guess you all have the mobile workflow specifically.
  What happened, it was the CPU is 100% frozen and unfortunately you cannot fix it yourself unless you have equipment and well know computers.
  So the only solution is to take your laptop in a store without doubt that you bought the laptop that they should have a tech help station; I took mine back to the store I got it from (aka micro Center) and a computer scientist, he fixed for me.
  So the problem is not major and your files should be secured. Mine were fine and nothing was wasted.
  Hope that helped and sorry it happened to you all too. It totally sucks but at least its fixable

  I put Kali Linux on a micro sd card that I have can start from the slot micro sd, for easy transport, but I can't get the laptop to boot from that.

  If I put the micro sd card in a USB drive, I can boot from that without a problem.

  What is the micro sd slot is not powered at startup or have I missed a framework?

  Any ideas will be appreciated.

  I could have tested it myself a few months ago, I don't remember the results but I think that the start of the SD slot is not supported by the UEFI firmware. It is mentioned here in the comments of this Amazon review for flow 11: "I have not been able to start anything micro SDXC slot. I can install it on Ubuntu, but I can't boot from it. I don't know if the Starter is still possible. »

  Hi Jazmiin,

  The Stream 13 HP laptop only comes with 2 GB of RAM DDR3L and it cannot be upgraded to 4 or 8 because the laptop supports 2 GB max for now them and it goes only with a single RAM slot.

  In accordance with the objective of the laptop for which it was designed, 2 GB of RAM should be of Basel to cope without any problem.

  Note: the high-end graphic gaming may not work correctly because this laptop is not designed for it.

  I get this error code when you try to listen to the radio from the following site:http://belmizikfm.com/wplayer.php and despite trying all the solutions of a variety of forums (DRM, Codecs, deleting files, etc) I can not find a solution. Sometimes it plays for a few minutes then stops and according to their administrator no one else has this problem. I have this problem on my desktop running XP and on my laptop that runs VISTA.

  I just tried to read the stream in WMP on my Vista system, and he played very well for more than 30 minutes, up to what I stopped it myself. There might be some problem with the connection on your side (e.g., dropouts), VLC is somehow able to handle better than WMP.

  If possible, I suggest that you try to play the stream on your laptop via another Internet connection (perhaps at a friend's House), preferably using a different ISP.

  It would be useful that you also specify the specific model number of this laptop so we can better get the specifics of it.

  If I understand you correctly, you are almost out of space (storage) and have condensed as many files as possible to free up the drive. Is this correct?

  If so, it isn't RAM you need, this is the hard drive that is short on space. Most likely, none is upgradable on this type of system. The HP stream looks more like a tablet with a keyboard attached instead of a traditional laptop. Hard, hard drive (typeMEM ) is connected to the motherboard and not intended to be removed.  The RAM is also embedded type which is also hard wired. It is also why the flow is less expensive than a traditional laptop.

  To free space, to store all of the files, docs, pictures, etc. on one SD card through the slot. The specs don't tell how large a SD card, it will allow, but it should not be a problem with the size you choose.
