    Hello

It could be that he is hidden behind another icon. Please try this: right click on the empty space after the last tab and Customize.... With the mini window open, you can move the other toolbars and icons to check if the new tab button is hidden. You can also check inside the mini window customize the icon named new tab or click Restore Default Set that will be hopefully restore back. Please note that if nothing is uninstalled or disabled when you click on restore by default, you will have to redo all changes to manual/personal toolbar.

  • The 'New tab' (+) button to the right of the displayed tabs is missing. How can I get that back?

In the previous version of Firefox, there's a (+) to the right of open tabs. Clicking this button would display the Web pages visited earlier. This button seems to be missing in Firefox v.4.0.1.

This feature is always available? Or am I just missing something?

    Thank you

You can open the Customize and drag the new tab, button of the toolbar tabs on another toolbar and it will become a regular tools like the new button bar button tab you have in versions of Firefox 3.

  • How can I configure the 9 pages 'home' on the 'new tab '.

There are 9 boxes 'home' to pin 9 sites on the 'new tab', for easy access to favorite sites.
How I can pin to stay up, when I can't even bring up the empty spot?
I know how to "attach" the tabs at the top and I know how to "pin" a page on the 'new' tab when it appears, but I can't force a page is displayed in the test at white spot.

Here's how you can pin a website for the new rectangles of tab:

    1. Open a new tab.
    2. Go to your Favorites and find the Web site you want to pin.
    3. Drag the bookmark on the space you want to pin.
    4. Repeat steps.

Thumbnails may not appear immediately. Open websites with missing images, just the pages they link to (do not go to the subpages), and then restart firefox. The thumbnails must be created now.
If there is still some lacking, they are probably from a secure website (https).

  • How to make Firefox exit reloading web pages of several times (while I read a page), so that the back button to return to the previous page

The back button did not work correctly for perhaps a month. I have finally addressed the problem but have no solution. Updated for Firefox 43.0, turned off all my Add-ons back to header by default, then also ran the refreshment of deleted my Add-ons. This problem occurs on many web sites. I'll click on Rawstory.com (for example), and then click an article and start viewing. While the page does not appear to charge that I read, I noticed that the small icon in the tab of Rawstory winks (as if reloading the page). This happens over and over again. Now I know to pull down the window under the left arrow to see what happened. The last page I read ended show 9 times under the arrow to the left, even if all I did was click top once and read the article. I wondered if my click on the scroll bar to read to the bottom of the article is somehow cause this problem (same for the use of my fingers on the touchpad). Thanks for your help.

    Hi cor - el

Who did the trick. Now, I own empty screens when I open my home page or open a new tab. I like the simplicity - I don't want to see ads or irrelevant guff loads when I use internet. I like a clear workspace, it makes me more relaxed and more productive. I am now very happy!

Thanks a lot for your help to solve my problems.

And thanks to Monez01 to start the discussion.

All the best wishes, FriedEgg (keeping my Sunny Side Up!)

This looks like a problem with the graphic display driver.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.
