14 PE format of a film produced on Blu - ray

Hello

I produced a few films with EP 14 and I noticed a difference in format on the obtained depending on the choice of serious on a DVD or a Blu - ray. In 2 cases, MPEG plug-in a file source 720 x 480, but when I play the DVD on my got, the film occupies the entire surface of the obtained while if I watch the same movie on a Blu - ray so I find myself with black on the side bands of the obtained. When I produce a Blu - ray plug-in yet the maximum resolution.

My questions are the following:

  • How is it that although using the same source, I can get 2 different presentations on a monitor; the DVD with the surface area of the monitor Kylian that Blu - ray is limited to a 4:3 format
  • What can I do to pay get the same presentation on United Nations result regardless of whether plug-in a DVD or a Blu - ray?

Greetings

Ann,

It is indeed the case. When I said that the content of the Blu - ray disc looks like the same format as DVD discs on my TV, I wanted to say that I find myself with a 720 x 480 format. I have reversed my intervention by saying that now my DVD disc content looks the same as my Blu - ray; 720 x 480 or 4:3 with black bars on each side.

Sorry for the confusion. Thanks again for your help

The solution for me was to change the settings of my Blu - ray player and forcing the full screen format to normal.

  • Blu - Ray building error: "invalid format", Code 13 - Please help to diagnose this problem!

    Hi all

I have a yet simple project that is successfully burning a dvd, image file and the dvd folder.  Now, I want to do the same thing except build the project for a blu - ray release.  (Video files source I have are hi-def).  I don't have a blu - ray burner, but I still want to produce a blu - ray disc image file and a folder of blu - ray disc as in the future when I get a blu - ray burner, I can simply burn the image or folder on the blu - ray disc. I use Encore CS5.5 in windows 7.

Then, I put the project of construction of blu - ray image file and I get the following error:

"Blu - ray error:"Invalid Format", Code 13, Note:" errors in some GSP: the end time of the previous display is set on near beginning to succeed all the display, see the log for more information "."  I get the error even though I am trying to build a blu - ray folder.  I also tried this construction project on a Mac (also with CS5.5 Encore), but get the same error.  How can I fix this error, or is anyone know what could be the problem?  the menu of the dvd I have is simple: 2 menus, 1 audio stream, subtitle 1, 1 main video stream and 2 videos of little "trailer".

(I can sand anyone track log if you want it to)

    Thank you!

Hi - I think I have fixed the problem.  Basically, I found that some of my subtitles were too close together and so I have separated by 5 images 'standards' apart and all built very well.  We hope in the future if anyone else has this error, they can find this message and try this solution.

"BTW, does anyone know if the rule of subtitle ' 5 frames apart ' for subtitles adjacent is just one more thing from adobe, or all the professional authoring software require the same thing?

    Thanks for reading this post.

  • Not full quality Blu Ray of Premier/Encore producing discs?

When I produce a Blu Ray disc with the Prime Minister, and again, the Prime Minister creates a separate H.264 (.m4v) and the .wav file, which again turns into a file .iso in which, I do the Blu Ray disc. I optimize all settings first as maximum and target flows and I check return to the maximum depth and the other. I found that I can put on six, probably seven hours on a dual layer (50 GB) Blu Ray disc. This makes me wonder, and so I ask this question. Is Prime/still produce it a blu - ray disc at the maximum quality of the present standard of blu ray, that is to say, the maximum bit rate and color depth?

How to convert Blu Ray Disc of the movie in general video and HD video formats

    Hello

I doubt that this is possible because Bluray discs are mostly protected against copying.
But if you have the Bluray m2ts file on your HARD drive, then you could try the tool called convertXtodvd. But I don't see that the reasons for this
I mean that you will lose the quality of film converting the blueray to dvd.

  • Advice of HD format for Blu - Ray projects

I'm editing about 30 minutes of images of wildlife for a documentary that I want to back up the Blu - Ray format. The film was shot on a Canon XL - H1A camera and the video comes off the camera as an .mpeg file. My PC is slow and has 2 GB of memory and can not handle the entire project from 30 minutes. The PC grinds stop if I have a project too big. My project is made from many 5-20 second clips with lots of transitions, so I'm changing the project into six sections of 5 minutes, made and saved, and then create a new project and stitch the sections together to burn to Blu - Ray. I did before for SD projects where I saved as DV - AVI files sections, them sewn together, then burned on a DVD project.

My problem is to replicate this process in HD, without loss of quality. If I save the sections such as DV - AVI, they will be converted to SD. I tried to save each section in MPEG HD 1080i format before making the final movie as a new project, but then for the record to Blu - Ray the final movie format there is a net loss of quality compared to the original film. I guess it must be because the movie is recoded to each of the two stages of the rendering. I have re-recorded each section to the 1080i MPEG H.264, created a new project and are sewn together to save on Blu - Ray. The project is rendered but will be night work. I don't know if it will be better.

How can I complete this process in two steps without quality loss?

    Thank you

    Neil

Select the option to share your computer, and then select MPEG2 as your file format, using the output of 30 fps 1440x1080i preset. This should be virtually identical to the video you put in. (you can increase your quality of output a bit by clicking on the advanced to this preset button and raise the level of video quality 4 to 5 You can even do it yourself custom preset for future use.)

And, of course, all this is assuming that you are using the correct HDV project preset. And, if you use the PAL TV standard, use the option of 25 frames per second.

If you are using the appropriate project preset, there will be a line above your clips on the timeline neither red nor green until you add an effect to them.

Although I'm a little concerned that your computer is not powerful enough to work with half-hour or HDV footage. You have a great camcorder from $6,000. Are you sure you want to be editing his video on a marginal machine using a program of $65? At the very least, it would be wise to move to Premiere Pro. (Not that there there my company.)

  • Not supported format - Blu - Ray will not play on HP Pavilion

    I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC WA794UA #ABA CNF0162R76.

Whenever I try to play a Blu - Ray disc in my Blu - Ray player, I get an "Unsupported Format" Message in HP MediaSmart DVD Player.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

If you use HP MediaSmart DVD (which can be glitch) to read the Blu - ray disc, try the following.

HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution.  Download the installer for it on the link below and save it to your desktop.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53029.exe

When the download is complete, open windows panneau Panel configuration, open programs and features, right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, double-click the installer for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once this done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK.

    Kind regards

  • LG GGW-H20L ATA use to work now, does not burn and no formatting Blue Ray discs but a DVD.

I was burning Verbatim 25 G Blue Ray discs like crazy, as well as the monolayer regular and double layer DVD for more than two years and now it will not burn or format Blue Ray discs. It appears in my computer and it won't give me the options of the ISO image or Live to get in shape. I use both bury camera Panasonic and Adobe CS4 software.  I use only the part simple DVD sex the LG GGW - H20L ATA now. I tried several things here on the internet, but nothing works, nothing works yet. Even tried the new installation of Vista 64 and still nothing. I tried to reflash LG GGW-H20L-ATA with the same version of the software package.

Anyone has the same problem or a solution? I need Blue Ray for my video business.

    Hi NewVideo,

Try the troubleshooting steps suggested in thisthread.

  • A Blue Ray disc with a digital copy of the film sends me to a page to update Media Player security, but the button updated it does not work

I bought a 3-disc Blu - ray Star Trek film set.  The 3rd disc is a DVD-ROM with a digital copy of the film, for transfer to a PC.  When I try the transfer, there is a message saying update Windows Media Player to my system with the functions of security necessary to play protected content.  Then a link in the transfer of Star Trek dialog box sends me to http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp where there is a button to upgrade.  But it is faded, as when a disabled function is grayed out...  If clicked, the button will not activate.  What should do?

I ran Windows Update and updates was not available in Media Player.  I have Windows 7 Starter on a netbook Gateway

1/2 hour later, well, what do you know?  After many attempts and refresh in Internet Explorer, the upgrade button finally loaded and worked.  Problem solved.  Transferred film and plays very well.

  • How to format a blu - ray disc?

You use Encore CS6, I'm ready to build a blu - ray disk movie, but does not yet recognize there is a blu - ray disc in the drive. I suspect that the drive must be formatted first. How do I?

He didn't need to be formatted. There are a variety of issues that can create this.

If you are on windows make sure you still run 'as administrator'.

As a test, build a folder or image to see if this part is correct.

Many of us prefer to burn with ImgBurn.

The Build Panel still , Blu - ray format, the Disc info shows that 12.45 GB is used and 12.55 GB is free, even if I had not started construction. Why? I expect 0 used and 25 GB free. Audit project revealed no problem. I don't know what info to provide an informed answer, but here is some info:

First Pro CS5.5.2 to CS5.1 again project: ()after making 1.5 h ) dialog box Adobe Dynamic Link - send to still - new project: settings: Mode of creation: Blu - ray.
Default conversion settings... Automatic transcoding: Max A / V Bitrate 40.0 Mbps (I chose it arbitrarily) video transcoding: Codec H.264 (this will provide a higher than MPEG-2 definition?); Dimensions 1920 x 1080 (what I want); Frame rate 29.97 (selection 59.97 reduced dimensions 1440 x 1080); Audio transcoding system Dolby Digital (PCM would provide better fidelity?)

On Panel project still, two files have appeared, Types: chronology and Premiere Pro sequence.

I created no menus and no subtitle track.

On the Timeline panel, the end prproj Action is Stop, length is 14; 58; 59, 00, remote Menu is back to the last Menu. Chapter 1 (the only chapter) link is not defined. Properties Panel, in and displays all zeros, end Action is not defined.

I burned a BD-R disc writing speed 8 x (2 hours to transcode) and it is only half used. He played very well, but I had 12.5 GB, 2.5 X instead of 25 GB, 5 X that of the DD definition. What must be corrected to get the X 5 full definition?

Note any other issues such as the length of time transcoding?
    Thank you, Don

That's the prediction of yet which is used and free.

The automatic can be applied to your PR sequence (i.e. the "asset" will get transcoded), but you must look at the setting of transcoding for the asset (ook in the project Panel to the right for the setting of transcode Blu - ray). I'm not sure you can max a Blu - ray player with only an hour of material. How is it?

  • Encoding format Blu - ray destroyed my black levels - that I'm going to hurt?

I need to burn a short to Blu - ray for a future projection, but whenever first/encoder/still ends the disc, the levels of black look anything like what I saw in my project schedule OR even preview. Blacks are soft, gray, with way too many details in them. Research led me to believe that my question has something to do with the color of my project values is from 0 to 255, but that Adobe Media Encoder that will pass automatically to the 16-235. Or something. I don't know, this is all new to me in the last 12 hours.

I've missed around with the effect levels in first just to test this hypothesis, and when I came out of 0 to 16 in the timeline panel black levels, he did reproduce the difference I saw in the finish of the blu.

I scoured all the parameters in first and still a way to control the levels of black get in / out of encoder, but couldn't find anything. Someone please tell me what stupid thing I overlooked so that I can make this film to look right.

For reference, my video source is:

    Images of .mov DSLR, 1920 x 1080, 23.976

And I export to Blu - ray using the following parameters:

MPEG 2 (also tried H.264, same result)

    NTSC

CBR (from the film only 22 minutes), but I also tried VBR 2 pass to max, minimum target and 25mbps 35mbs 40mbps.

    Profile: 5.0

Rendering quality Max, maximum depth, max everything.

    First Pro Cs5.5 running

You were right about that. The settings in the graphics card drive (which apparently I put manually) had the card using its own settings for office and most applications (like the first), but default to the default settings of the program for some video players (that is, only Power DVD). I now see the contrast values constantly between PP and blu reading on the computer, but there is still a question (much more subtle) contrast and gamma when I burn on blu. Will try some of the suggestions above and after return. Thank you guys.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks in advance!

The solution: If you use a model of the internet or the library, when you edit in photoshop, you must let the background checked and it just put the new image. The problem is not with the buttons. The problem is in the background. In order to not turn off the bottom of the models, just put a new on it.

Is there a good way to open one or both of these files?

You can ignore the msf (index files) files, but other files (same name as the msf file, but no extension) are probably the mbox files. Import them to with ImportExportTools. (Installation).

Create a folder under local folders, then ImportExportTools/tools/import a mbox file.
