1440 p monitor recognized as 1080 p over HDMI

I've updated to Sierra yesterday, and now my ASUS PB278 displays 1080 p instead of its native 1440 p over HDMI. This monitor has worked flawlessly with El Capitan and Yosemite on HDMI.

I also tried to connect more love at first sight with an HDMI adapter and that no longer works.

Anyone else having this problem?

Well Yes. Exactly the same problem you described. In light of this + problems with drivers for my Performance MX Logitech mouse (restless as hell scroll), immediately restored to El Capitan.

Will be held off the coast of the upgrade until this issue is resolved.

  • Satellite P200 1EE - this can produce to 1080 p via HDMI?

    Hello

My first post on this forum.

I recently bought this laptop and plugged into my LCD TV at home. However, I can't seem to get 1080 p via HDMI 1080i (my TV is able to accept 1080 p via HDMI). Anyone know if this is possible? (I've updated the latest Toshiba display drivers).

Also watching movies, I notice a lot of grain/noise on the screen of the laptop. Is this normal or is it a defect? I was watching transformers HD DVD last night and could see lots of noise, not only during dark scenes, but generally throughout the film.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Shak.

    Hi Shak.

It is useful that you have insured your LCD TV supports 1080 p. This resolution you must check in your graphic card driver catalyst a required option. Open the control center and find the dvi settings and uncheck the option "reduce frequenzy dvi on the screens to high-resolution. 1080 p should work now.

The grainy/noisy thing with HD-DVD of Transformers. I don't think that it is a defect or something like that. Just put in another movie and see if the image quality is better or not. Quality differs from a movie to a movie.

Check it out and give me a quick answer if it worked.

    Kind regards

  • Lenovo T560 with an external monitor 2560 x 1080

I just got a new T560 with Intel graphics HD520 and a 40A20170US docking station. When you try to use my 25UM LG monitor (which has a native resolution of 2560 x 1080), this resolution is not listed in the drop box available in the settings of Windows resolutions. I tried a dual link DVI cable and a DVI - DP cable from the dock and a mini-DP-HDMI cable from the port of the laptop. I used the Intel HD graphics control panel to put in a custom resolution of the 2560x1080x60hz, but the utility gives an error "greater available bandwidth. 2560x1080x30hz is functional, but choppy and annoying and unacceptable, because I specifically asked Lenovo sales if this combination would support my monitor.

It is a clean installation of the company to win 10, with the latest video drivers and chipset installed.

Did I miss a tweak here?

Given the special format 21:9 for the external monitor LG25UM, think that genius suggests using DisplayPort to DisplayPort system or the dock to get supported by Lenovo 2560 x 1080 60 Hz.

DP is your best option because the graphics card Intel only has the ability to support the HDMI to 2560 x 1080 30 Hz when he can't stand not Dual channel DVI at all, so Lenovo does not support DVI 2560 x 1080 30 / 60 Hz.

    Thank you

  • How can I get resolution of 2560 x 1440 over HDMI

    Computer: Lenovo Y580

    External monitor: ASUS PB278q

Adapter Intel: Intel (r) Graphics 4000 HD

    Driver version: 8.17.12.9555

I try to have 2560 x 1440 graphics to broadcast on my external monitor via HDMI

When I try to create a resolution in the graphical control panel, one of the following three things happens.

    1. I get a message saying that the resolution that I am creating is not possible

    2. I create custom resolution, but when I try to address in the menu screen resolution Windows tells me that it can not broadcast the resolution.

    3. the dissemination of the resolution, but it is of terrible quality and looks like it is vibrating.

    * Note: I got this configuration before, but I had to reinstall Windows recently, decommissioning of Windows 8 for Windows 7, and now I can't make it work, then maybe this community could help.

I solved the problem, I used an old driver, CTV - RB and refresh rate of 50 Hz. It was a long and painful process, but I have my old resolution back, and you can also!

All about HDMI 1.4 (which is supported by Lenovo Y580)

Q1) how about "Lenovo DisplayPort two-way cable DisplayPort?

will there be any display lay?

-the laptop monitor must turns off?

My two monitors are VGA-HDMI/DVIonly supported. In this case, the installation would be

x 1 button of carbon-> Lenovo DisplayPort to dual DisplayPort cable-> mini displayport to hdmi

    Q2), anyone tried this before?

    Q3) all other options?

    Thank you very much.

    X 1 carbon spec touch I'll order

    -Intel Core i7-3667U, 2.0 GHz, 4 MB L3, 1333 MHz FSB)

    -8GB 1600 MHz DDR3, 8 GB, 1 location

-Intel HD Graphics 4000, 1 GB

-Ethernet Via USB (included dongle), Intel Centrino Advanced N 6205 (a/g/n) Wireless Broadband Mobile option 3G / 4G (LTE), Bluetooth® 4.0

-DVI via optional dongle, dongle included VGA, headphone/Microphone, Webcam video HD built-in, (1) USB 3.0 port, (1) USB 2.0 port, (Note: external to RAS access card reader and USB docking station must be ordered separately.)

T1) for Displayport to Displayport splitter, you can keep the internal LCD screen. Given that the laptop considers external two monitors connected via the dispatcher as a simple external LCD.

It would be easier for you to get just a Displayport to Dual DVI splitter.

    http://intrl.StarTech.com/AV/splitters/DisplayPort/DisplayPort-to-Dual-DVI-multi-monitor-adapter-MAL...

It works on the same principle, but do the DVI out instead of the Displayport port on.

  • Why I'm stuck buying despite a monitor HD movies 1080 p high-definition?

I've encountered this problem two years ago and thought he simply must have had some little problem then, mentioning that, well, HD content cannot be displayed on screens and HDCP compatible systems.

But even today, I'm still not able to buy any movie via iTunes without having to resort to buying the version of standard definition of every single one.

What is this Nebula HDCP and why is he in favor an absolute requirement for iTunes even acknowledge that I have any kind of screen at all?

It's infuriating to assume that the program is simply too picky, although I still think that it was a strange lingering problem with the store somehow.

Someone at - it a good thought of what could be done to solve this problem?

    For reference, here's my specifications:

    OS: Windows Home 64-bit 10

    CPU: Intel Core i5 4690

    RAM: 32 GB DDR3 - 1600

Solutions to display: MSI Geforce GTX 970 connected through a converter DVI / VGA to an external Samsung S22C150N.

HDCP = High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection, something that manufacturers can not refuse, who responded to questions about why he is executed at startup. It is a requirement.

  • HP 2310ei monitor (DP/DVI-D) laptop VGA/HDMI

So, I recently bought the HP 2310ei monitor. It has DisplayPort and DVI - D connections.

Initially, I had planned to use a VGA/DVI adapter, but I didn't know that there is a difference between DVI - I and DVI - D. Now I wonder, what is my best option?

Buy a DVI - D Vga adapter? Or a DisplayPort Vga?

Or maybe go with HDMI DisplayPort?

Official website of DisplayPort that I read that there is no effective way to connect a laptop VGA to a DisplayPort monitor due to the analog/digital, whatever, that means, but in another topic on this Board, I also read that someone who bought a HDMI cable to DisplayPort could not make it work , so I'm a bit at a loss.

    What are my best options?

When you request support, please provide the number name and/or product complete the model of the computer that is connected to this monitor.

It is not a VGA adapter, DVI - D, or a VGA adapter DisplayPort on the market however there may be some expensive active converters. Depending on your exact computer and video output ports, you have few options. You also ask of HDMI DisplayPort goes, it can be assumed that your computer is equipped with an HDMI output. If this is the case... the easier, cheaper, and is to connect a HDMI output for HP 2310ei with a HDMI-DVI cable.

I did research on this scenario but see no mention of the possibility of using my Acer

SW3-013-1566 tablet as a digital monitor for my Canon 7 d DSLR camera. If anyone knows how this can be done please let me know and which downloadable programs I could use.

Well, according to this video , you can. You use the USB connection and software from Canon. You wouldn't be able with the HDMI port without any other additional hardware to do the video cpture.

  • No sound on the TV when connected over HDMI

I have HP G62 laptop. I seem to have lost the audio HDMI when I connect to the TV. Help, please! Have checked the Audio on the control panel and seem to only Realtex Hi Def speakers have implemented.

    Hi Tony,.

Download the following installers and Save the in your downloads folder - you can rename each of them for easy identification.

    Driver Chipset.

    Installer of AMD.

Next, open Device Manager, open sound, video and game controllers, right click on the Realtek HD Audio device and select uninstall - do not delete if requested driver.  Once this done, do the same for the ATI HD Audio device.

Now go to your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of the Chipset and select "run as Administrator" to launch the installation - once this complete, are not reboot the laptop, but right-click on the setup of the AMD and again, do a right click and select "run as Administrator" to launch the installation.

When it finished, restart the computer and let Windows take over completely for a few minutes.

Connecting your laptop to the TV via HDMI, then right click to the speaker icon in the taskbar, select playback devices - hopefully, you should now see an entry for ATI HDMI Output; left-click this time just to highlight and then right-click and select "set as default device".

I hope you now audio through television.

    Kind regards

  • How to have separate video and audio over HDMI output Lenovo Thinkpad T410

I have lenovo T410 and wanted to connect it to my TV high definition. Earlier had problems, but after buying SIIG Displayport to HDMI its job very well. In fact the video and Audio can now be read / listened to on my HDTV via HDMI. However, I have a separate 2.1 computer speaker system, which has much better sound output than my HDTV. Now if I want to see the video on HD TV via HDMI and audio output to speakers for laptop (connected to the 3.5 mm wired 2.1 speaker system), how to do that. I went to SmartAudio settings in the Control Panel, but there is no option of separates HDMI audio to the speakers only.

I don't want to buy another cable with RGA Audio Converter 3.5 mm female port. Please suggest a direct solution.

in win 7 do a right-click on the speakers on your lower right corner icon, select playback devices, click on speakers, click on set default, click OK and it should work (sound must come from your computer speakers or the computer 3, 5mm jack)

Your PC has shipped HD ALC888S. I scoured the Web and found someone who has exactly the same problem with audio built-in. Solved by updating the embedded HD codec. Update driver http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/ .

Realtek posted the new driver 2.1 01/12/08 so it can do the trick.
