  I just wanted to share and in which case I need information later it's nice to be able to find it on the internet if I forgot.

  I bought a Yoga 500 14 - IBD (born to Win10 - not upgraded) as is was on sale and I thought why not I need a second machine. It's actually a very nice machine and the Pentium seems much better in daily chores that I imagined (but her as Atom - like execution but in fact it's more like just below i3)

  However not everything is rosy red. Like the 900 and probably many other laptops of Lenovo, he got a very annoying problem. NO TAP TWO fingers FOR a RIGHT CLICK ! Argh! Beyond me a deemed manufacturer manage to get two bad finger tap!

  The Yoga of 500 I got is like the low end version of the 500 (although it got FHD IPS) and that's probably why they put in a touchpad ALPS while my 900 has got a Synaptics.

  I have not found any information about to enable two finger tap, right-click on ALPS touchpads on the internet so I messed up a little round in regedit (I'm confident enough so has not been worried, worst restore values) thought why not share.

  1. open regedit

  2 Goto - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Apls\Apoint\Gesture

  3. change the value of 2TapShow to 1

  4. change the value 2TapSupport to 1

  5. modify 2TapSetting value set at 13 decimal hex d

  6. do the same for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alps\Apoint\Gesture

  7 restart the machine

  Step 5 is optional. You are now in the control panel of the ALPS under multi finger set what you want two finger tap to do! Most likely, you want to have in the context menu, but there are also other options if you care right click.

  This information is for Windows 10 ALPS driver v8.201.1611.252 so things are not exactly the same on your laptop and of course the use of information is at your own risk. Messing around in regedit can make operating system unusable if you make a mistake!

  Also while adjusting your touchpad settings you can adjust the speed. Diffinately scroll speed to the maximum and sensitivity to the max as well. ALPS seems to jerk and get the fantom clicks if you're the type who just slightly touching the touchpad. Affecting sensicity max and the touchpad features very well no involuntary jerkyness and click.

  I was writing this in my OneNote and discovered an error.

  Point 5 is 2TapFunc NOT setting (!) However, this doesn't mean probably much - only that you should open the ALPS Control Panel to then hit the function instead of working just after regedit and restart both with the fingers together.

  Hello, I recently bought Yoga 500 14ISK with windows 10. However, the screen randomly and occasionally turns black during the work and the only solution is to turn off with power button / stop and turn it back on. When in a black screen, computer still works (fans, music, etc.). I tried to close the laptop into sleep mode and open it again the screen works, but after entering my password, it becomes black again in a second.
  I was able to solve all other questions (use CPU, RAM and high disku) but this one kills me. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  After I call to Lenovo support and I request more information... answer is I can change my RAM and my drive hard without void the warranty, but if when I do I damage other parts for laptop (Eg. Motherboard, battery, etc.) the guarantee doen't cover damage by me in the process of replacement of parts.

  I buy a new Lenovo about a week ago and next week I update hard drive and RAM.

• Yoga loading 500 for a second, then does not charge for a second

  Hello. I recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 500 laptop, and I am very disappointed. When I plug my charger, 9/10 times it starts to require, immediately stop charge, then charge again for a second. This translates to never charge. Finally, she normally perceives, but it is completely random and sometimes requires 5 + restarts.   I kind of solved the problem by picking up this sleeve Lenovo Yoga 500 that has stuff and port cutouts, I put the part inside keyboard when you use desktop mode - it leaves not the device fold all the way in tablet mode, but it's great for transport.

  I could find good in each of them a similar version, otherwise identical specifications, why they cost so differently and what is

  I checked these two models, and I think it will now come down to personal preference.

  I got the JBL speakers and Dolby ones certified. Two speakers sound great, but I would go with the Dolby option.

  So here's the points in favor of Y500-

  (1) speakers Dolby

  2) more USB ports

  (3) HDMI port (it is a full port and no microphone, I prefer complete ports)

  (4) more large HDD (1 TB + 8 GB SSHD, fast enough)

  (5) it's cheaper

  Points in favor of Yoga 3-

  1) less weight

  (2) small charger (still less weight)

  (3) 256 GB SSD (faster)

  I think that at the end of the day, Yoga 3 will be a little easier to transport (if you travel a lot), and 500 Yoga will be heavier. My personal vote will increase to 500 of Yoga.

  You should probably look at detailed descriptions to see the dissipation of heat and other factors.

  Also, I hope that you are not buying these to make some plays heavy, these laptops are not for good game. They will work some games decently, but nothing too serious. In addition, more the laptop, the more heat it will generate.

• Two finger Tap ALPS touchpad Flex 2 15

  Bought a Flex 2 15 pc a few days and I have tried many things to enable tap two fingers to right/middle mouse click... I have ALPS touchpad and currently use the v.8.201.1611.222 driver (I tried the previous drivers to). Shouldn't be any way to emulate the Middle click of the mouse with the touchpad?

  I got exactly the same problem on a 500 of Yoga - also in the ALPS.

  I have found no solution either but I managed to fix it myself and I shared what I discovered. Should surprise my fix if is not the same.

  Take advantage of a touchpad with tap with two fingers to right click! The way it should be good from the beginning. Most other manufacturers seems funny to do things... Wonder... Or is - this just pure ignorance of Lenovo? This is one of those very small seemingly insignificant things that have a huge impact on the user experience... (!)

  I recently created a virtual machine choose guest OS as Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard and what I see is that this virtual machine is switched automatically.

  Within the guest OS, that I made sure that the sleep settings are configured never 'sleep' and also desktop preferences, I have the following option selected "VMs run after the closure of workstation.

  I don't see any memory overlapping happens and do not know what triggers it.

  Also, I should let you know that I have another virtual computer configured on the same workstation, but SUSE linux guest OS 12 and that never exposed this problem.
