  HP does not officially support 8 win on your device. Windows versions supported are Windows 7 and Windows 10, so the lack of Windows 8 drivers on HP website. It is recommended that you run W7 and W10 on this device.

  If you want to experiment, you could create a backup of your system, install Windows 8 and then see if W8 will automatically recognize the hardware. Everything that is not recognized, you can install its Win 10 drivers and see if that helps. You can also provide the ID of the hardware and I or someone else can post a driver for it. However, please note that this is not officially pick up and may not work at all.

  I need your help!

  then a few days ago my wifi started playing on my acer Windows 8 V5-552 and I have decided to update the driver for the card. I did this by unistalling and re-istalling the driver for the Atheros AR5BWB222 map I downloaded from this site acer very (it turns out it's the same version), now I have no WiFi connection at all (I am currently using ethernet cable but I need to be mobile around the House!). Troubleshooting does not help and said "there could be a problem with the driver for the WiFi card" and when I click fix problem there is no NOTHING (why did even give the option?). Did a system restore and that didn't work because of my antivirus and there still nothing when I turned antivirus off the coast. Then I read a lot of forum preveous questions on this driver and no solutions helped, maybe because everything is last year.

  I really want to avoide a factory reset as I have some programs here that will be very difficult to acquire again.

  If you're still here after my speech, I am greatfull and also want your knowledge and advice about this superior! Please help me!

  What antivirus program you are wrong with turning off? I know that some may be stubborn. If the AV program refuses to turn off this feature with a selective startup in MSCONFIG, then you can try to uninstall it completely in the PANEL. Then try to restore to the previous new date

  trust, you do well. I'm looking for the driver for my lan or wifi network adapter.  I use a HP Pavilion 15-e055sia (full specs).

  The thing is I had initially a windows 8, I rolled back to windows 7, I thought that I would have downloaded the necessary drivers using the pcdiag of the tech center , but I forgot I'd need at least to have net connection to make it work.   Bought a reconditioned model Toshiba L850-1EK of PC World in Novemember - its been great! so much better than my old netbook! Lighter too!

  However, due to a media blank Superhub that keeps falling speed wifi, I remembered something that worked on my old laptop - uninstall the wifi adapter in the Device Manager and have windows "find" and reinstall/update driver. This, you will agree, was a mistake.

  Annoyingly, the driver was not installed correctly (the popup box said this) and each time I try another driver even if Toshiba, Atheros or Google, none will work correctly - if she is completely installed, there is still no wifi (impossible to find networks - as if the wifi is turned off).

  Also tried activating / disabling the wifi enabled, deactivation / activation of the adapter directly, connect the network cable to find other versions of the driver (as above), even the system restore did not work as he could not find a file, then it did not restore.

  Is there a driver especially L850 ships with? At my wit's end! The driver gets up in what concerns the Atheros AR9485WB-EG

  Plans currently do a full backup/restore - a system of image recovery should replace all good, right? Back at the factory-fresh, with working wifi?

  I m using a Satellite L300 too with XP and I t notice any problem. It works correctly and the Web from Toshiba site displays all the drivers and tools for this.

  However, firstly everything that you should make sure that you have installed all the drivers for your laptop. The site Web of Toshiba shows only Realtek driver for WIFI then I guess you have Realtek WLAN card. You can run setup.exe to install drivers or if you get an error message?
  If you are not sure, you can also check what WLAN card you have on this site:
  http://www.PCIDatabase.com/
  The vendor and device ID, you can see in-online WLAN card properties Device Manager.

  Toshiba tools for FN keys, I can only say that you must install applications first Toshiba and then all the other common Modules. Common modules are required for all Toshiba applications works. Then remove the tools installed Toshiba and use this installation order that I used successfully on my Satellite L300:
  Toshiba Common modules
  TOSHIBA Hotkey utility
  Toshiba Touchpad POWER utility
  Toshiba Utilities
  Toshiba controls
  TOSHIBA Power Saver (not necessary, but very nice tool).

  Dell is like that.  I'd go to at support.Dell.com and use of the tag numbers of express service (at the bottom of the computer) go to drivers > service tag in > find driver for wifi > download and install.
