  I currently have an iMac that I bought in February ' 08. It has 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I'm on OS 10.6.8.  I upgraded the memory a few years ago.  Things seem to become a little slow on this subject.   The airport should be fine, unless you have the intention to improve your Internet connection at Gigabit speeds... WiFi has not changed that much.

  It's probably a good idea to consider a new Mac in the near future, however. This one is about the end of his life.

  Apple batteries will be sold if Apple installs, NOT the user.  If you have a MBP, this is probably the best option because the batteries are pasted into the retina.  If you have a retina no MBP, look at the OWC site for NuPower batteries or search the Internet for brand batteries Anker.  Anything else can be 'high risk' in terms of quality.

  You can put 2 x 4 GB DIMMS in the empty slots, this will give you a total of 12 GB. iMacs are very sensitive to the RAM, it is best to buy RAM from reliable sources like Crucial (direct purchase) or OWC OWC RAM

  My laptop battery life is horrible. Ive done some research and it seems that everyone with the same laptop as I is to have the same exact type of the problem. I had the laptop in autumn 2010.   Good then the problem was with my wireless card, or should I say it was my fault. When I put on my new graphics card I accidentally pulled out the antennawire of my wireless network card. And now I feel very stupid but yes problem solved and all is good and working.

  No, you don't need to buy another copy, you can reinstall it on the new hard drive and turn it back on by phone if necessary:

  Hi DanielGlez, welcome to the Forums of HP. No need to apologize, your English is much better than my Portuguese. The only option I can think of to get a spare battery, becomes part of HP for the battery number and see if HP PartSurfer comes in your area.
