  • Aspire One D255E don't look for a printer connected to the USB port

My D255E an Aspire don't look for a printer connected to the USB port.  I've never used a printer on this computer before.  Windows 7 Starter will support a printer?

It should be.  Try these steps and results reports:

When you turn on and connect the printer via USB, shows tasks for animation in the system tray at the right end of the bar, click it and monitor driver installation.  If the pilot goes then printer must print and perhaps scanning of base via the Windows fax and scanning utility.  To find such a piece of utility type its name in the search box.

If the driver does not load type of devices and printers in the box to start the search, open it, check if printer is already displayed, right-click on it to open the properties, and try to print a Test page. If it does not print right click on printer again to solve problems.

If the printer is not listed visit Support downloads of the printer Web page to download and install the base driver.  If a wireless printer, you will need the complete package to do it fully implemented.  If you want to be able to scan from the top of the printer to the PC, then you also need the full package.  Keep track of the configuration screens when you install the software.

If you still have problems after return the exact error with photos if possible.

Seems there are a lot of problems installing with HP systems, I would hope that society can give a high priority to these issues.  Many of us love quality HP but wireless connectivity is frustrating.

In a humorous way, please remove the "cannot find the printer - make sure that the printer is plugged in and turned on."  statement.  Our children know how to set up a network, so that the statement is hilarious, until you see for the 20th time as possible motive to the wireless printer is not found on the network.

    Hello
My post seemed to have grown to a case manager who was willing to put up a time for the members of technical support to contact me.  By the way, she asked about the distance, the printer from the router, which, by other reviewers, should be placed next to the printer, and she asked for me to try to move the router to about 18 inches from the printer so that it would be responsible for coordinating the call of support following our conversation.

I did it and all network issues related to wireless access by the entire Office has been resolved and performing network and each station can print and scan in a few minutes, following a job application.  Printing took about 20 minutes to start and sweep was impossible until this Council been offered.

Many congratulations to Yvonne!  And, I thank you for following up on this post.  I am a very satisfied customer again once my application has been met with personal concern for the issue and an appropriate resolution and FANTASTIC found!

  • Win 7 and 64-bit USB adapters

Background: Service mobile organization using more than 100 different pieces of software among more than a dozen OEMs to program various electronic communications / equipment.  Portable computers used in the field all have standard RS-232 ports of series 9 pins, each of the various equipment has an intertface cable used to read/write settings.  It takes a truckload of these cables...
In any case, as it becomes increasingly difficult to find new laptops with a serial port, and very recent material is now accessible via a USB port, use adapters USB-to-Serial, blah, blah, blah, etc..

Person in charge of the engineering drivers & dongles seem to understand that "RS - 232" is a STANDARD and that signals to the 9-pin end of the adapter must conform to this standard... that the driver is the software interface between the operating system (whatever it is) and the real world (RS-232).
Without mentioning name, software of all manufacturers performs equally well on Win XP and earlier via a real serial port.
The problems arise when using laptop computers WITHOUT serial ports, having only USB ports.
Each equipment manufacturer has attempted to provide a "fix" by offering a pilot & cable adapter USB-series of interconnection of existing facilities.  They ignore requests for information on patches for stuff earlier saying "is not available" or referring to him as 'legacy' products... and then suggesting that we keep "of older computers" for such problems.
In the "old days", the settings of the connection in series has been configured by the user... 8-N-1-9600, etc..
The OS is much smarter today... we have "plug & play"!  Problem is that we have now five adapters USB/serial, five pilots, and tries to do an any of them work properly on Windows 7 is a challenge.
Here's THE QUESTION - Windows 7 Will allow loading several drivers (they don't have the same file names to condition) for these different adapters, then match the driver appropriate to its adapter expected when one of the cards is connected to the laptop?  Tech readers to a site, open good software to access the customer equipment, plugs in USB-serial adpater, hope for the best... He uses a 64-bit Dell.  What we have done so far is to load a driver for a given map, use it, remove this driver in order to load another one for a different application.  This STINKS!
As we hear, "plug & play" depends on the OS see the item plugged in, receiving a little stream that contains the element 'ID' and then knows what to do next.
What we're doing wrong?  We should change the brand of deodorant?
Thanks to all those who confuse through this.

  • Latitude E5550 pilot win 8.1 Broadcom NFP USB\VID_0A5C & PID_5804

Hi, I need the driver for WIN 8.1 for Broadcom NFP USB\VID_0A5C & PID_5804

Where can I find this driver?

    Thank you

    Hi Simone.

Try to install "Dell ControlVault Driver".
This package contains drivers for Broadcom NFP (USB\VID_0A5C & PID_5804) and Broadcom USH.

I installed on Latitude E5550 with Windows 7 Professional x 64 and works very well.

  • How to connect my potentiometer (3 connections: wine, Vout & amp; common) to USB-6008

Hi looking for help connect my knobs to my DAQ USB-6008. Essentially got some linear and chain of pots that will be connected to the fitting of the parts to give a linear movement of DC output voltage. Got DAQ USB-6008 DC output read and display in LABview.

The pots have 3 electrical connections:

    1 input voltage

    2. output voltage

    3 common

Entry and common connections are connected to my power supply DC leaving a single output voltage wire.

1 should I connect DAQ in premium or CSR mode?

    2. as I have only a single output connection (as input and common are atttached to food) what can I connect to GND mode CSR (or the terminal for the differential mode - ve)? Can he remain unconnected?

    3. do I need to connect anything to the output of data acquisition channels? or data acquisition will read my entries and display them in LABVIEW?

Excellent. Thanks for your reply. Think about it, as I have many pots to connect up to this unique DAQ so if I use the DAQ outputs to power pots, then I would be limited to two pots on the DAQ specification?

If I use the other method and hang the pot common and input for external power supply-/ + terminal and the hook to the top of the pot then you suggest also, I need to pin 1 ground output to the AI1 on data acquisition. What is all the Earth? What do you suggest as a land? If I go down this road then allow me up to 8 pots on this data acquisition? (And I guess each other the GNDs would also need to be connected to each other input used?)

  • Cards for new SDXC (extended capacity Secure) USB drives

    Hello

Just a question for Dr.Lucky or someone who can help.

I read the info SDXC to sdcard website but there are a few points I want to be clarified.

New SDXC format was launched and are of exFAT file system format, I long as I understand it, you can use an SDXC card in an internal drive in a Win operating system by installing Microsoft Update .

Can I use SDHC readers with the new SDXC cards by installing the fix for the driver? Must the SDCH readers be updated to recognize the new SDXC format?

Can update us the SanDisk ImageMate all-in-One readers to accept the SDXC format? If so, please send the link of the driver or SanDisk info.

With respect to MAC OS users, SanDisk, said "'exFat support requires Mac OS X version 10.6.4 and preceding". " This means that we can use the MAC SDHC slot as updated to 10.6.4 and more correct SDXC slot? Or can we buy a reader SDXC and MAC 10.6.4 update as well?

    Thanks in advance!

    MemoryVal

No matter what reader SDHC will work as long as you have the patch for the older operating system installed. The question is not hardware incompatibility is support for the exFAT file system which is the compatibility issue.

On MAC, 10.6.4 is technically correct but only the constructions made after July 10'. Apple has not added exFAT support to 10.6.4 built after July. Best bet is updated for the last OS that is 10.6.6 and you will have no problem reading your SDXC card.

  • Time real ADC/DAC for SMPS by using Labview and USB

    Hi all

I asked the Sales Department of this same question, so here's a two-pronged approach:

I am reserching a control algorithm for power switching, and so far, its performance simulations seem to be good.  Now, the goal is to implement the circuit from the experimental data.

I've seen several NI USB DAQ boxes that seem to have the performance, I'm looking for (for example, the box USB-6211 a sampling rate and resolution I need).

The control algorithm uses the following mathematical functions: add/sub/mult/div/exhibitor and derivative/integral.

My question is this: is "strong enough" Labview take four-channel data 250Ksps, crunches the numbers in an equation and spits out the answer to an analogue on the channel, while time REAL?  I'm looking for a rate of analog output of ~ 100 kHz.

Thank you for any suggestions you have!

    -Rick

    Hey,.

So if you were trying just to perform an input or output, then the box USB-6211 would certainly be able to treat it as the machine clock could manage the inputs/outputs, no software. However, what you are wanting to do, basically a feedback system, he will have to avoid (at least to a USB device) because you need to be able to specify Active which is the output. So, for this reason alone and the fact that you want out of 100 kHz, this device and the USB devices in general will be not an option any what software you use, LabVIEW or otherwise. On another note, you want to make sounds more like live update, not in real time, which is more on the jitter. Bottom line, for these kinds of requirements, you might need to move to an FPGA card, something like the NI PCIe-7841R would work. It's more expensive, but for your needs, FPGA will be the only option and it comes down to the latency of the bus, but also the response time of software. With FPGA, as shown in the first scheme of the following document, you basically close your software through hardware loop.

  • Installation of the minimum runtime for the program using the driver USB of NI-VISA personal

I have a LabVIEW 2009 application that uses a driver for a USB device, created using the wizard of the Driver NI-VISA.  What my minimum installation of runtime needed to understand when I move it on a non-development machine?

On my dev machine, I went to MAX and given my new camera USB one alias of VISA.  I think I'll meet trouble if my deployment includes no MAX on TIME machine.

Right now, I guess the minimum is LabVIEW 2009 DURATION, NOR-DAQmx Configuration (including MAX) execution, duration of NI-VISA.

If not, is there a method that avoids having to configure an alias altogether?  It would be nice to not not need NOR-DAQmx, I use not any material that my USB device with driver custom.

    Thank you!

Not sure why you consider same installation DAQmx. You can install just MAX, the VISA duration and your harware MAX configuration. The installerallows of LabVIEW allows you to export the configuration, and then you select the option to import on the deployment computer. You will also need to include the installation of the inf file you created with the wizard.

  • You are looking for a SIMPLE, EASY to USE, USB flash drive password protection

    Hello everyone,

I scoured the Internet looking for a SIMPLE, EASY to USE, method of Word to PASS-PROTECT my flash drives TOGETHER.  I don't mean something that protects just individual files & folders (such as MS Word, Excel & can do).  Or I'm looking for a program that involves having to read page after page of instructions on how to ENCRYPT the drive.  ENCRYPTION is a topic that is really beyond my ability to understand.  I'm sorry.

Programs like Truecrypt, Axcrypt, etc. are simply much too complicated for me to understand... a lot less!

My question: are there flash drives available (size 8-16 GB preferably) who have a means of securing the disk with a password?

The USB key remains in my USB port at ALL times!  I have no other computers here and live alone, so that no one else could access the flash player (or computer).  Otherwise, I would be willing to consider a VERY SIMPLE, EASY to UNDERSTAND AND USE application, either free or something that does not cost me dearly.  (I subsist on a limited monthly disability income).

Thank you for your time and any recommendations!

It seems that the solution for you would be to purchase a secure Flash drive.   Security is built-in and it asks for your password when you insert your disc into the computer.   Can't get much simpler than that.  They are a little more expensive, but you pay more for practical reasons.   See the following article:
    'USB Flash Drive Security '.
To find one, just Google for "Secure USB flash drive", there are a lot of them out there.

If you have a non-secure flash drive and do not want to replace, then your easiest option would be a program like Truecrypt which you already have reduced as being too complicated.  Don't let the word"encryption" you scared - it all comes down to "enter a password to access".»  Once established, however, it is almost as simple as only to enter a password so if you can find a computer or a local high school computer nerd literate member of the family who would volunteer to set up for you, then it wouldn't be that hard.

    HTH,
    JW
