  Hello! I know my DeskJet 932C is 'old', but it seems to be in excellent condition.  First time that I had a problem.  The power light is on and the cartridge is flashing.  When I open the cover, the plateau of the cartridge moves to the far left.  The arrow points to the unfortunate color cartridge.  The missed years ago color cartridge.  I use my printer to print B & W, so I've been printing with the empty cartridge in place for years.

  The printer will perform electrical cartridges to light control and a few other times.  If an error printing can be blocked to avoid damaging the printer.  Clean the contacts of the cartridge as shown in the document here can solve the problem, otherwise you will probably need to replace the color cartridge.  The 932 Deskjet will allow printing with an empty cartridge, but for years, the cartridge may fail electrically and needs to be replaced.

  It is a feature of the printer when in sleep mode, the power LED flashes to warn that the printer is in sleep mode. When you touch the screen the power light goes back to a solid light. There isn't any way to change this feature.

  I removed both sticks of memory and places both back into the two slots without changing the situation.

  I have reset the power by unplugging the battery and the AC adapter / CC. Then, I pressed the power button for 15 seconds.

  I took the hard drive and it is recognized by another computer via a USB connection. Fortunately, I was able to recover the files that I needed.

  I assume it's a motherboard problem. Any suggestions on what could be the cause is appreciated.

  Is your laptop still within its warranty period?

  You should check that you did all that on the no list display. Once you have done this, and you have still no positive results it's time of contact HP.

  I tried checking the event viewer, but did not find much, and do not know, I am interested in the right part.

  I can say without a doubt it happens when it is on battery power, almost never when it is plugged.

  In addition, it seems to happen more frequently when I use Firefox, but then I'm usually just surf when I'm on battery.  When I don't really work, I tend to sit at a desk and connect.

  I did a quick check this week, surfing on the battery while using Firefox, I fell two times.  Once run it normally, first with all add-ons disabled.

  When I switched to Chrome I had any problems.

  I'll close this and call it a problem of Firefox, I'll open a new ticket if it appears elsewhere.

  But I'll check the both battery test.
