But if you can't do that much, I'm afraid that the only solution is to reinstall Windows 7 directly, for example, of your hidden partition or DVD of Windows system, depending on what you have.

  Back up your data and programs for an external drive or USB flash drive and go from there. Do you know how to do a clean install of Windows, or do you need me to walk you through it?   Amyjoan50 I'm sorry but I don't have any experience with the attempted execution of Creative Suite 5 in a virtual machine.  You want to make sure that applications have access to video drivers needed.  This can often be a problem when you try to run a virtual operating system.

  You can also check with the Ubuntu community or Virtual Box to see if others have had success installing using Virtual Box.

  I am running Windows 7.  I uninstalled previous versions of Adobe and was also their cleanup tool and then I've always had an unrecoverable error report.  Also, I adjusted my firewall settings.  After spending some time with clients, I finally got Photoshop CC installed via the temp folder.
