15R203TU: touchpad not working not

My touchpad does not work. Disappeard pointer. When I connect my laptop with the mouse, the mouse everything works fine. Please suggest how to solve this problem.

Welcome to the HP @rakesh_chy support community!

I understand that you have a problem with the TouchPad on your laptop of HP 15-r203TU. You said that the TouchPad is does not work correctly, but an external one works.

Have you tried to see if it occurs in Mode safe?

Have you done the updates of Windows?

Have you tried to use the HP Support Assistant?

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated.

Please follow the steps below and see if they work:

  • Type of research, "Device Manager."
  • Click on Device Manager,
  • Expand mice and other pointing devices.
  • Right click on the TouchPad,
  • Click on uninstall.
  • Restart the computer laptop twice,
  • Reinstall the TouchPad card.

Have you tried updating the TouchPad drivers manually? Otherwise, please follow the steps below.

  • Type of research, "Device Manager."
  • Click on Device Manager,
  • Expand mice and other pointing devices.
  • Right click on the TouchPad,
  • Click on update driver software,
  • Restart your computer.

The best document I have for TouchPad problems is the use and troubleshooting of the TouchPad and ClickPad document.

Have you tried to test the material to see if it passes the test of components?

If this is not the case, remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, because they could cause some problems and run the Component Test on the mouse.

This answer doesn't solve your problem or answer your question? If so, please share the good news! Inform others that this answer was helpful by clicking on the button accept as a Solution . You can also show your appreciation by clicking thumbs-up.

If you need assistance, I would be more than happy to continue to help you. Please re-post with the results of the resolution of the problems.

    Hello

I'm new to the forum, so I hope I posted in the right place.

My product: HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab045sa (ENERGY STAR)

I have all the gestures of touchpad usual work (three stroke of finger etc).  However, the recent to THE introduced a new gesture to switch virtual desktops. I was really looking forward to this update, but this gesture does not work! I tried to reinstall the update with erase everything and it still does not work!

I don't understand why it does not work as I have a touchpad of accuracy and all other gestures of work except this new! Also even if some gestures of work (for example three finger swipe), I don't think that win 10 recognizes the touchpad of precision like under settings of the mouse and Trackpad, what it does not say that I have a touchpad of precision and so does me no options to change what are the gestures, as it should.

I have the Synaptics TouchPad of SMBus 19.2.11.38 driver (21/07/2016).

Would really appreciate your help as I was really looking forward to the new gesture switch virtual desktops.

    Thank you.

Just got an update via windows update Synaptics update to version 19.3.11.37 - it finally allowed me to have the film 4 finger to switch virtual desktops!

I had a similar problem in my case it was related to dirty sensor.
I could clean it with a jet of compressed air perhaps it was little dust between the volume wheel and the sensor that knows to clean it worked.

    On the touchpad:
Well, I put t know what might cause this are sure you that it is not disabled by Fn + F9 key combination? Check the BIOS settings not sure if there is an option for touchpad but many BIOS also contains the power button for touchpad

  • HP Jet 11 - d 010wm: touchpad not working not

    Hello

I have a HP flow 11. I have upgraded to Windows 10 and had no real problem until I decided to update the drivers (I sent a message that drivers were outdated). I generally don't click on something like that because it causes problems and it was obviously the case.
After the update, the touchpad stopped working. I tried various fixes, but nothing has worked.

At one point, I went into Add / Remove programs and remove the touchpad Synaptics hoping that, when I rebooted, restart located the touchpad and the driver and reinstall correctly. I was wrong and I think it was a huge mistake on my part. Now I can't get the driver to work I downloaded.

Is it possible that I can get the touchpad to work again. I use a mouse and that works fine but not effective for a laptop.

    Thank you

There are five drivers chipset on hp.com for 11 stream and one is required for the touchpad work, I think it's Intel series IO driver without the support of connected intelligence.  Who install and reboot and see if that fixes it and if not, install the other four.

  • Satellite A100 PSAAR: Synaptics touchpad not working not not on Vista Ultimate x 64

I decided to upgrade my XP 32 bit Vista x 64 Ultimate on my PSAAR A100.
Operating system works perfectly except one thing - touchpad, which work perfectly under XP, is not answer at all under Vista x 64 (with SP1 of course).

Worse, it's that my touchpad (Synaptics) is listed in as a work Device Manager correctly. Hmm - I don't remember. Meet your possible suggestions - I tried to reinstall, I tried to use the A200 drivers (since Toshiba does not support drivers for Vista x 64 for line A100) and even had the newer drivers from the Synaptics site. Update Vista even me has new drivers - cool, I admit, but it still does not work, even if Windows does not seem to "know" about any help would be very appreciated :) it...

PS (optional problem) I also have 2 unknown according to Device Manager devices - since I have no idea what they are, and because I don't think I'm missing something - I simply gave up on top of those - at least for now ;)

Of course, nobody here the solution for you. :(

Problem is that this model of laptop is not supported for Vista 64-bit. I don't really know what you can try. Maybe install driver designed for A300?

I don't really know. You can use an external mouse with success?

  • Touchpad not working not not Z580

    Hello.

First of all, I hope that my post is placed in the right place.

Since yesterday my notebook computer touchpad (Z580) stopped working after full initialization of Windows 7 (I can use it for a few seconds) so I know it is not a material thing. I've also updated my drivers, still the same problem. And I can still use a USB mouse.

I searched the internet a solution but without success.

I have my laptop for about a year and I'm very happy with it.

    Hope someone knows the answer.

    Jeroen.

Tanks, but since this morning my touchpad started working properly again without doing anything special.
I don't know what started the problem, I tried many different things without success, I also restarted my laptop several times yesterday, nothing worked.
But I'm glad its not now.

    Thank you for your support.

  • Y500 two-finger-tap touchpad not working not

Hi I bought my Y500 a few happy days with her and there are in general. However, one day the two le deux-doigt-tap (par clic droit) sur le pave tactile - finger - tap (by right-clicking) on the touchpad stopped working. Here is a description.

Everything else as far as I know, including the two fingers scrolling and the tap of a finger, etc. work well, but the tap two fingers stopped working even though it worked fine for a few days. I have a suspicious as to what caused it, but I'm not entirely sure. In any case, I think that it is probably a bug and probably software. One day I went into 'control panel'-> 'mouse'-> 'device settings'-> 'settings... '. "->"Scrolling"->"two fingers to scroll"->"enable cabotage. I played with the cabotage for awhile and soon off again because I don't really like it. However, that's when I noticed that my tap two fingers stopped working. I have double checked that 'control panel'-> 'mouse'-> 'device settings'-> 'settings... '. "->" by clicking on "->" click two fingers "is set on" secondary click (context menu, drag special) ", but the click two fingers still doesn't work, even after a reboot. I downloaded the latest driver (version 16.2.18.0) and it still doesn't work. I uninstalled the driver and installed it again and it still does not work. Now, I like to use the touchpad, but really hate to live without tap with two fingers for a right-click. Please help me with this, I thank you in anticipation.

It seems to me a solution, but I don't know exactly why he has solved the problem. It seems that the problem might be that while the Synaptics touchpad device is a PS/2 device, it keeps software interference (of some sort) by being recognized as a SMB (System management bus) device. Which solved the problem for me was to go to 'device manager'-> 'system devices', locate "Synaptics SMB driver", and either disable it or remove it. The two-finger-tap touchpad must begin to work immediately.

  • Aspire E1-571 touchpad not working not

Dear Sir, iam using aspire E1-571 laptop.it is bought on last august.but currently this touchpad not working.iam using usb mouse.please solve my problem quickly.

Have you tried to turn the touchpad with the function key?

    FN + F7 I think

  • Aspire e15 (e5-511-p9y3) Touchpad not working not not on windows8.1

Aspire e15 (e5-511-p9y3) Touchpad not working not not on windows8.1, and I can use the cursor with a mouse. I also installed the synaptics/elantech drivers but it does not show scrollbar option in the mouse-> device settings.

    SOLUTION

So guys after a thorough research and troubleshooting, I found that you must keep the opinion of a few things at installation time:

Installation mode: UEFI (only) - LEGACY would create problems touchpad.

After the installation of windows just follow the hierarchy of driver installation

    1 Intel NB_Chipset_M Baytrail-M

    2 Intel i/o driver

then the rest of the shit.

Note: after doing all this make sure your touchpad is active > Fn + F7

Just wanted to if this solution came from an Executive of acer, the world would have been a better place , but in any case this is what the community is for.

    Enjoy everyone

    Hello cigo,.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I'll try to help you with your mouse problem. To resolve this issue, try the following steps:

    1. go in Manager devices, then mouse and other pointing devices.

    2. right click on the mouse driver and select "Uninstall".

    3. restart the computer. This will force the computer to install a driver based on the detected hardware.

This should solve the problem. Please let me know the results. Thank you!

  • Touchpad not working not not in HP ENVY-dv6

my laptop (HP dv6-nevy 7300ex) computer touchpad not working do not...

After installing the new version of win 8 touchpad dead...

    Thank you!

Start your laptop and immediately press the ESC key to call the start menu.

In the start menu, choose F2 for HP PC Diagnostics.

Choose tests of components, and then choose touchpad to perform the test. post your results here in your thread. If it's a hardware failure, then the trial will notify you of that.

Please ignore the selected system board circles. It is in another troubleshooting session earlier this year. You must choose a mouse for your question.

  • HP laptop touchpad not working not

My laptop computer HP touchpad stopped working after a clean install of windows 7. The LED for white touch pad permanently but fires it does not work completely.

The laptop model is HP Pavilion dv5.

The original operating system was windows Vista.

It seems that you install some or all drivers for your laptop computer's hardware once you did a clean installation of Windows 7.

    Go to http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

If you are able to do with the laptop in question, click the button "identify now.

If, as I suspect, you are not able to access Internet with this laptop, enter your model number.  You need to be more specific than the dv5 Pavilion.  There should be another series of numbers and letters after dv5.  For example, if you have a HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx notebook, you'd end up this page-->

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv5-1200-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/3744212/model/3860524#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

The driver for your tablet would be located under "Driver - keyboard, mouse and input devices."  For the above example, this is the "Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad driver."

You need to install most of the other drivers as well.  If there is a category with multiple choices, such as the driver for the wireless network adapter, you will need to determine the type of device you have by looking in Device Manager.

  • Elan Touchpad not working not

I ask this because I have not found a decent solution for my problem.

Gigabyte P35G Laptop v2 running Windows 8.1 64-bit pre-installed. 'MOMENTUM input device' is what is to come on my device manager, but only after I select "hidden devices". It does not appear normally. It does not appear under Device tab MOMENTUM under mouse properties, and he does not like the material under properties of the mouse either.

I completely uninstalled the driver and reinstalled. Nothing happened. When I select the device in Device Manager, I was informed that "this device is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed." Error code 24. »

Pretty much anything, hoping that a more knowledgeable person can help do not find. I'm leaning towards the idea that my touchpad is simply broken.

    Hello

Indeed, the touchpad can be broken (having a hardware problem). Check with the support of Gigabyte
or a real computer store (that makes its own service in the workshop).
    Support for Gigabyte
    http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/technical-support.aspx

    Gigabyte Downloads
    http://www.gigabyte.com/support-Downloads/Download-Center.aspx

    These can help:

Panel of configuration-Device Manager - mice and pointing devices - Double click on the TouchPad
-Pilot Tab - click on Update Driver (which is may not make anything as long as MS is far behind)
drivers of certification), now RIGHT CLICK on the touchpad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself
    (all in it). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad
    of work.

Here are the similar steps in XP, Windows 8, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except
We need clear the specific device if present.

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

  • 7 caused synaptics touchpad not working Windows Update

    Hello

I ran the windows 7 updates from last night on my laptop HP G62-373DX.  When I started my computer touchpad not working.  I went into Device Manager & it is said that the touch pad is damaged or missing.  In addition my Kaspersky anti-virus is also disabled now.  I tried to reset the device and also made a system restore back to before I was running updates.  Neither work.

    Any suggestions?

After talking with support for some time, they suggested I run a recovery, but I could not do this without a mouse (tab would not work to get me through the options).  I don't have a mouse so I thought I'd like to borrow a & then get back in touch with technical support.  In the meantime, I decided to try & get my anti-virus online.  Not sure if this is what fixed it or what, but after I downloaded the update for my anti-virus my touchpad started working again.  Perhaps, that was blocking the installation of the new driver?  Who knows, it works fine now so fingers crossed I don't have any problems more.
