    Hello

First, try the automated Microsoft fixit at the link below.

    Reboot the laptop.

When windows is completely reloaded, click on the Start Menu, open Control Panel and click Device Manager.  Click to open the CD/DVD-ROM drives.  Right-click on the drive and choose uninstall.  Do not delete if requested drivers.  When the device has been uninstalled click the icon 'Search for hardware changes' (usually just below help in the toolbar).  Let windows reinstall the disc and see if it works now.

  • Satellite A200 - missing system file

Could use all the help available for this problem.
I have a laptop A200/J06 Core 2 Duo running Windows XP Pro (or not runnning longer).
The problem is that when the computer tries to start up, I get the following text:

"Windows was not start because the following file is missing or damaged:
    \WINDOWS\system32\config\SYSTEM

You can try to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD.
Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair. »

Machine did not come with an installation disc. It has however a recovery disc for XP and Vista.
My problem is that if I try to use the XP Recovery disk, he wants to erase the hard drive partitions in the framework
of the process. Without being able to boot the machine, I'm not able to backup the data before you start
    This process of reconstruction.

    Any solution please?

As you say; Toshiba Recovery disk doesn t contain the repair console but only the original Windows XP from the Microsoft CD.

So, either you take a Windows XP (buy or borrow) and undertakes to repair the operating system or you will recover the laptop using the Toshiba disc.

These two options are available. Now it s your choice.

  • SP3 will correct a missing System 32 file problem?

I have been cheated by removing

    C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe

as a result of something being allowed in my computer because of what I perceive as a failure of my anti-virus program.

I can access Internet, but not my MS Office 2007 applications.  If I download and install SP3 on my PC it will restore this missing file?  Or is there another way to go about it - I tried to copy the file into another folder where I found the System 32 folder and that did not work.

    Thank you!

I downloaded a copy of the file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest

    ================================
As you have discovered. Vista Basic does not work

    Info about DVD decoders:

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

  • Legends of Windows 7 Media Center missing slideshow feature

I recently bought a new laptop HP with Windows 7 and Media Center version. I used the Media Center program in my old computer (XP), in particular, the slide show feature. The photos came nicely with legends (which really are the file names of each photo). When I transferred photos on the new computer and headed the program of slide captions were missing. I really need the legends to make my presentation. Is that what I can do to restore the captions in the slide show?

It could be a long shot, but with windows to release living products, it might be in conflict with wmc?

If you open windows live photo gallery, located in the place of all the programs under a live windows folder to the bottom of the list, there selections as well as what you can publish,

I know it's a different program but with all the new features added and Add ons he added, that if you check those setting it could enlighten us.

But you can always just check information such as captions and make sure they are in the right category because we spent x - p for windows 7, the data could not be transferred correctly.

Anyway open your my pictures location and look at some of the pictures where you have problems with and see if the captions are really there and in the correct fields, simply point or left clicking on each photo opens the photo information on the row at the bottom of your screen in your photo library.

I don't know if you are interested in windows live photo gallery opening or not, just to check certain parameters that may or may not be playing with wmc?

I'll add that I've never really got into wmc for many in the past, but I used it because it of the only real way to adjust the timing of slide shows, all the time in wlpg is preset and the default values are not adjustable, that I hate and wmc is adjustable, and I can set it and forget it.

  • Shortcuts missing system configurator

Just by installing the Essbase 32-bit Client and the EAS 32-bit Client on an OS Win 7 64 bit using Excel 2007. But now when I navigate to the Oracle EPM System Configurator it says that is missing the file "configtool.bat". Where could he go? I have just re-installed successfully. Wouldn t it re-create this path and files once I reinstall?

All this is perhaps out of service to use, you use windows 7 64-bit.

Any ideas? All the better features in form 11g?

Loy there is a cmdlet parameter called clientDPI. If your forms are centimeter based, you can increase this setting, and forms are zoomed. all you need to do is change your basejpi / basejini and the formsweb.cfg to move the clientDPI to the applet:

    in basexyz:

    [...]

and in the formsweb.cfg in your config:

    [my_config]
    clientDPI=120

If you do not want to specify in the formsweb.cfg you can go directly to the forms servlet:

    http://IAS/forms/frmservlet?config=my_config&clientDPI=120&...

  • Missing system restore points

Take a look at my system restore points, I found that it was not. There is no reason I know for it - system restore has been on, but being created no restore points - I turned it off and then new and now that it will create restore again points.

Something happened to me I was had been looking at some dodgy sites "make money on the web easily" just out of curiosity. Anyone know of any malicious dishes that destroys the restore points. It would be a sneaky way to stop the removal of spyware.

Also I noticed some automatic update of Microsoft had just completed installation - would this have deleted restore points? From what I read the auto create restore points updates not remove them.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Hello

    I found this info:

If there is no free disk space on the monitored system drive or on any of the available non-system drives, System Restore purges restore systematically points in all monitored partitions to free disk space. If the free disk space falls below 50 MB on any monitored partition, System Restore will stop watch and suspend.
Note: Some users have reported that using the Real Player One has been deleted and restore points. Please check your log to the system event viewer for events to restore the system to a volume error event.

But these are questions of Microsoft and if you want to learn more about these issues with the tool to restore the system you must check this information from Microsoft site:
