2 second pause between tracks in WMP

How to change the default pause of 2 seconds between tracks in windows media player, when I burn a cd?  I want to burn copies of my group's live shows, but I don't want the noise of the crowd interrupted when securities change.

Hi jason.sloan,.

Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

In response to your question, I'll move this to the Group of sounds and multimedia.  It is in relation to WMP so I this redirects to this community forum to have more responses from the community and MVP who review these groups of the forum.

Just to give you an overview, WMP has 2 second gap between songs indicating the change of track.  If this delay wasn't the jump track would lead you at the end of the recording.

There is a way to edit this shift, however, it is usually something that is sought in order to maintain differences in song and be able to distinguish between the pieces of music.

Please let us know if information is required or if it helps to solve this problem.

Kind regards

  • Pause between tracks when burning CD using WMP.

When I burn a CD that contains songs that flow into each other (ie: live music), I noticed a short pause between tracks.  How can I avoid this?

    Hi twozillas,

Some CD, when some of their songs are ripped, can include one or more seconds of silence in the music file ripped after the end of the music. Other CD may include gaps of silence at the beginning of some songs. Many CD marks the beginning and the end of the songs with the introduction and the end of his audible on each track. The Player automatically adds a gap of two seconds between songs when burning audio CDs to avoid the next song begins immediately after the end of the previous song. Gaps of silence extra included in the CDS ripped music files can create, inconsistent pauses between songs. Since the pause of two seconds of the Player cannot be disabled, the only way to solve this problem is to use an audio file editor to remove the gaps of silence in the recordings of the song themselves.

  • Pause between tracks?

In ripping a song from a CD in a music folder, the silence before the next song is included in the duration of the recording. For example, a record of 03:36 length is 4 seconds. of silence before the start of the next track. If the length of this recording (TRACK 1) is presented as 03:40 in the list of songs that I'm about to burn it to a CD. If I choose to have a pause of 2 seconds between tracks on the CD I want to burn, it will be the pause between TRACK 1 and TRACK 2 2 dry. or dry 6. ? In other words, Windows Media Player does not remove silence at the end of the runway before inserting the 2s pause?

As far as I know, he burns the track as it is. I do not use to rip like, well well, is just not very well. There are some freeware like AudioGrabber.

If she add seconds to the beginning of the track (or finish) then the easiest thing is to use an audio editor like Audacity (once again, freeware) to cut the silence off the beaten. That's how I do it, and at the same time you can "normalize" all tracks so that one is not too strong compared to others.

  • How to add a few seconds delay between songs on a playlist

How can I add a few seconds between songs on my playlist without a crossfade iPod? I have an iPod nano 16 GB. Looking to add about 10 to 12 seconds or more.

There is no setting on the iPod to add the silence between tracks.  You will need to add a "silent song" between your actual songs on the playlist, which is "10-12 seconds' silence.  This looks like a place to get some, to the desired length.

  • HP CP1515N pause between multiple impressions.

We have a HP Laserjet CP1515N and that you have installed using windows 7 for the first time.

When we try to print several copies of a document, that they will pause between each print before operating. This makes it very slow to print a large number of copies at a time.

This seems to happen more often on Publisher 2010, if printing on a word document it seems not having the problem. If I use a machine with windows XP and Publisher 2003 and print the same document, it does not have this problem.

I have the driver HP Color Laserjet CP 1510 Series PCL6 (0.3.7071.0) if it helps.

    Thanks for all advice :-)

What I think could be the cause is Publisher 2010.  I don't think that's any kind of error, or anything really adjustable.  Looks like it's in the way that Publisher 2010 treats print jobs.  You can try upgrading the memory, or the print spooler to see if it works to speed it up, but I think it's just in the operation of Publisher 2010.

  • Second difference between dates GMT?

    Hello

I need to get the second difference between a date later GMT and current date of GMT.

    My code looks like this:

    Calendar futureDate = Calendar.getInstance(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT"));futureDate.set(Calendar.YEAR, 2009);futureDate.set(Calendar.MONTH, 11);futureDate.set(Calendar.DATE, 12)futureDate.set(Calendar.HOUR, 10)futureDate.set(Calendar.MINUTE, 43)futureDate.set(Calendar.SECOND, 18);

    int secs = (futureDate.getTime().getTime() - System.currentTimeMillis()) / 1000;

This code gives me 12 hours too many seconds. I'm I have GMT + 7 time zone. DateTime, the value source Blackberry.

When I debug, and print the futureDate, it shows me my timezone instead of GMT.

Another weird thing. If I subtract the TimeZone.getDefault () .getRawOffset () in my calculation of seconds, the seconds are then 7 hours in advance. Where are these 5 hours from extra?

    Thank you.

Sorry, just a little chip, I don't have the time to carefully review your problem (maybe do later) but two things:

    (1) System.currentTimeMillis () returns the time UTC.  I think that CMJ is incorrect when he says that it returns local time.

    (2) GMT is NOT necessarily UTC time on the device.  GMT in London at the present time is UTC to 1, because we (I'm in the United Kingdom) use Daylight Saving.  If you want to discover the real hour GMT, on the device or the Simulator, set time GMT from Casablanca.

I need to check these, do not have the time, but here are some other thoughts on the top of my head.

    (a) timezone "GMT" is, in fact, Casablanca GMT, i.e. not affected by Daylight Saving.

    (b) Note When you specify the time of the calendar, there are two forms of time:
TIME - what you used, can be morning or afternoon

HOUR_OF_DAY - which I think is what you should use.

So change your code to use HOUR_OF_DAY, and I suspect that this could work.  But as noted, just off the top of my head...
