200% + CPU Dual Core i7 3.0 GHz 16 GB Mac Mini end of 2014

Hello

I just bought Lightroom & Photoshop CC to complete my new Mac Mini. I thought that the specification above would be more than enough for Lightroom flowing normally - given my dual core 2012 MBP 2.5 GHz 16 GB ran Lightroom CC without any problem. However, I'm having a time torrid so far. Everything is extremely slow. Even when simply activate the lines of the grid, I'll have to wait 3-4 seconds for a response. Brushing is a nightmare as well.

I tried to disable the GPU option, but it has improved things slightly. Perform light tasks is still up 200% of my CPU.

Anyone know what I can do about it?

During brushing, you have turned on automatic mask?  Automatic mask is very convenient when you brush next to an edge, but it won't slow the brushing process considerably.  Turn each time that it is not necessary for editing you do.

  • Change the hard disk of 1.4 Ghz Mac Mini end of 2014

Good morning Apple community, so here's the problem: I had a voltage breakdown because via the USB port of an EPSON LX - 300 printer, at present when the USB and the Mac Mini contact, ventilation Mac shutoff valve and after a few tries to do turn it finally do. But I see that a gray folder appears with an exclamation mark, then, with my other mac I download OS X El Capitan and do a Booteable USB, after that I enter the utilities disk and found that the "Macintosh HD" was not there and 2 USB 3.0 also didn't work. I picked up at a technical Service allow in my city and have told me that the HARD drive is broken and must be replaced, they say it could be replace by an of a 7200 rpm or 5400 RPM HARD drive RPM HARD drive, also says that couldn't put an SSD. I start research and found it is possible to put an SSD without problem. So my question is that's for sure, so I trust that an SSD will work with flawessly, and that I will also get a big performance improvement.

    My Mac is:

Mac Mini end of 2014 1.4 Ghz 4 GB of RAM, Intel HD 5000 and a 500 GB drive HARD 5400 RPM death.

So, my best regards to the community and hope for a response.

I've been running my 2014 MM off an external SSD with USB 3.0 since the beginning of this year, after a bunch of trial and error; That's what I have:

Unfortunately, I don't have much advice to give you else make sure you have a proper forum for IT. From my experience, the bad speaker will make the difference in whether or not the Mac recognizes the SSD on initialize toward the top.

    Good luck!

  • Only be recognized as a core of CPU dual core

OK, so, basically, it all started when I got to Mass Effect 2, installed and tried to play.  It froze on the screen to load several times if long story short, this is a problem, as the game was with a cpu core.  I have a dual core (Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU E8400 @3.00 GHz).  After a few tweaks in run-> msconfig-> boot-> advanced options, I realized that it only recognizes the base.  I rebooted with detect HAL checked and it has not helped.  I used a program called CPU - Z to look at my system specs and it detects only a kernel.  Essentially, if my CPU is fried, is there a problem with my bios, or is there a problem with vista?

    Hello

The problem could be the motherboard, power supply (rare), chipsets and other hardware
problems in addition to the processor itself. A real computer store can use other diagnostics and swap
parts and out to find and solve the problem. If you just bought a new processor, you might get lucky
or it could be worse, and what problem you have also destroyed another.

If the machine is worth fixing, then I would do it properly. Otherwise buy a new computer and recovery
what you can of the former. A motherboard if possible UPGRADE and a PROCESSOR UPGRADE
can be a smart move depending on the age of the system and the State.

Smart money is on a computer store, although sometimes they are simple corrections like a rider
However, you cannot really expect that.

    We hope you sort.

  • One processor is working on a CPU dual core.

I installed a new pair of bars of memory a few days I've been troubled havining of memory. Everything seemed fine for 2-3 days and then the laptop started running very slowly. I thought I'd launched a test of memory in Windows 7, is it on 2 pass test, so I started it again. Then the laptop is dead and when I rebooted (I noticed it was hot, so I left it 10 minutes) he said that he had closed the temp was at 90 C.

I had already tried to vacuum clean dust as I could, unfortunately, the processor and the fan is not accessible, so I ordered the compressed air and a computer laptop cooling tray.

Then I discovered that I have only 1 core of a double cpu work. Setting up operational Mamager didn't show a graph (should be one for each carrot?). I looked in Device Manager and saw the two entrances to mobile M620 AMD Turion 11 Ultra Dual Core processor. I then looked in msconfig \boot\advanced and which shows that I have cpu even using the drop-down list. So what explains the slow system.

Is it possible to get windows to see the two hearts, and if so, how can I do? I found a thread that says to d/l Easy BCD, but I couldn't see the option "Limit Windows to '0' (leave 0 to reset). Another person removed from the processor in Device Manager, but I don't know if it's OK to do so.

Having just reinstalled windows because of a corrupted registry is depressed me! I am considering buying a new laptop (on here 4 years), but this means that Windows 8!
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Everything has been fine since I was two hearts to work. I bought a laptop cooling tray and the temp got above 66 with a heavy workload.

so everything is good right now.

  • CPU dual core quad core replace on the radiator? Mini Tower Optiplex 755

Hi, I am currently using a dual core 6850 and I think to buy a quad core. I have a 500W PSU as a spare.

Can I replace the CPU on a Quad Core without changing the cooling system?

    heinflhs

Here are the specifications of the replacement PSU part. Are they not better than the original power SUPPLY Dell block?

This power supply is ATX and not EPS12V

Better is not the issue.  Dell power supplys 80% efficient are not 70% ATX.  The - 5v rail is a question too although it may cause a fire from the motherboard or damage your system.  Its a dead giveaway that this is a power ensure between 1990 and 2000.

This current is on track is not negligible. There is a single 12V RAIL on that unit and its maximum is 17A

EPS 12V units have multiple @ 18 amps 12V rails each.  MAX Power on 12V rails is 264w not 204w

This unit has much more on the 5V and 3.3V rails at the expense of the independent 12V rails and CPU 4 pin. So not this emergency equipment is not likely to work well or not at all.

Recommended update or replacement is EVGA 750B 1

  • Inspiron 530 s CPU Upgrade - why some Dual Core and not others?

    Hi all

Inspiron 530 s been chugging along fine (although strong), but has now been replaced, so decided to take a look inside, radiator & fan felt loose so unscrewed it and he lifted directly out absolutely no resistance, so I think that the cpu and the radiator cleaning and put thermal paste on would be a good idea.

When I opened it, I thought that I might as well upgrade the processor as older bicoeur are going for about $10-15 here, (he currently has a 1.87? double heart in it), so I got a reading of the forum to find what was possible

    from the bottom of post

    quote - shesageordie

Inspiron 530 s has a mother FoxConn G33m02 meets the specifications of Dell and will support the following Socket LGA 775 processors:

    Processor Intel Celeron 430
Intel Celeron 420 processor (1.6 GHz, 800 FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 (2.5 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 (1.86 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 (2.13 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 (2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 (2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
    Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8400, 3.0 GHz, 6 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, 65W, E0

    Wolfdale Dual-Core Kit, E8600 3.33 GHz, 6 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, 65W, E0

Also, Intel Pentium E6500 2.93 GHz processor dual core.

Before installing the processor, that you should check that you have BIOS Version 1.0.15 or above, when support for the new Intel processor has been added.

Note: The Quad Core 2 processors are not supported by the Inspiron 530 s [Slimline]

    Bev.

    Theres now my problem

Seem some of the processors used cheap available locally does not not at these figures (and they seem to be somewhat of Eug than those that match)

for example the E8200 E6850, E7200, what of these processors prevents them from working?

And as a note aside will upgrade the radiator and the fan, if I get a different processor?

    Nigelt74

The E7200 and E8200 are 65w/45nm Wolfdale processors and should work.

The E6850 is a 65w/65nm Conroe and will not work

There should be no need to replace the entire radiator/fan of the 530 Inspiron s, but remember to check the version of the BIOS before installing the processor.

    Hi John,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

What is the brand and model of your computer?

Thank you for details on the issue.

I suggest you run "utility update Intel driver" that keeps your system up-to-date.

It detects the driver updates are relevant to your computer, and then helps you install quickly and easily.

You can download it from this link:

  • Can I do a guest who sees 2 physical and logical 4 processors? (i.e. dual-core)

I have several dual socket, dual-core PE2950s running ESXi 3.5.  I started to migrate to ESXi 4 on a Dell R900, wall 6-hearts.  I have only one application (InDesign Server) under Win2003 which is licensed per CPU; on the PE2950s, when I assigned 4 virtual CPUs, the app saw 2 physical and logical 4 processors.  This allowed the program to run, he's looking for "2 CPUs" and I'm assuming that he studied the logical number of CPUS, but he treated 4 concurrent threads, one on each core (this is how it is supposed to work).   However, when I moved the virtual machine to the R900 and awarded 4 vCPUs, she saw 4 logic and physics 4, and the app has refused to run.  I can assign 2 vCPUs, but then it will try to launch the 2 threads by heart, to me give only half the speed.

So the question is, can I have the VM guest to see a CPU "dual core"?  If I assign 2 dual-core processors, it would solve my problem.  Thank you!

  • Duda CPU vs CORE

    Hola,

Ayer, con commenting a colega amendments came una duda:

The comentaba when the CPU back asignas the thrown a una Máquina virtual lo hace VMWare in reality are asignarle back CARROTS. ES decir, the virtual VMWARE 4 CPU por Máquina limitacion in reality are 4 Cores. El said that no unless asignabas una CPU is the asignas don't con los hearts as tenga the CPU.

Alguien sabe realmente than asigna VMWare, o CPU CORE?

    Saludos thanks por adelantado.

    Hola,

VMkernel El chequea cada 20ms processes as mimi in los fisicos hearts y los migra an otro core so are necessary, are decir, una MV back vCPUs en una Máquina con con back CPU (dual Core) is ejecutara in all the corresponding VMkernel el y el proceso cada 20ms movera in aquel core than tiene el menor uso. Not however are posible hacer uso of the capabilities of "affinity" y mapear una VM con back vCPUS fisicos carrots back also - esto declared the capabilities of VMotion.

MI consejo are pruebes primero con una vCPU en you MV is tomes United Nations base led performance. Luego reviews otra vCPU al the MV y el mismo runs test are compared results. This can be Québec el performance sea el mismo!

    Saludos,

    Hi all

I am little confused here, seeking your help guys

What is the difference b/w 1.8 GHZ & 2 GHZ Dual Core Processor?

In fact, I'm looking to buy 6 s IPHONE 64 GB here in Dubai, but I found above mention question in 2 different stores.

2 ghz is cheaper than 1.8, 2 separate processors by APPLE in 6s?

    Thank you

As far as I know, all units of the iPhone 6s have the same CPU clock speed. Looks like that the store has made a mistake in the description of the phone.

  • Can Satellite L300D 21 X receive a CPU upgrade - to dual-core?

I want to make my laptop more faster to use software for creating games.

    To do this, I need:

    (1) 2 GM RAM - which I know I can upgrade and does not seem to be a problem.

    (2) adequate graphic/video card

    (3) dual Core processor

    or

    (4) a new compatible motherboard

Is it possible and if yes, what parts are compatible, and can I do that I can't afford a new computer?

I search google for hours before coming here and there is really no conclusive answers out there anywhere that I can see.

    see you soon

    > Is - it possible and if yes, what parts are compatible, and can I do that I can't afford a new computer?

You can upgrade the RAM it would not be a big problem.
You should be able to update the RAM up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB)
RAM DDR2 800 Mhz must be compatible.

Upgrading the graphics card is not possible.

The new update of motherboard? Well, first you must use the same motherboard made for L300/L300D series due to the layout.
Second in my opinion it is completely useless since the new motherboard is expensive and would cost between 250-350. Before you spend 300 for the new motherboard, I recommend buying the new notebook

Upgrade CPU? It is a question of the compatibility of the chipset
Since the laptop uses an AMD chipset, you can only use AMD processors.
The laptop seems to be equipped with an AMD Sempron for Notebooks - 40 2 GHz CPU
If you really want to upgrade the processor, you must use the CPU of the same family

But even if you want to use the new processor from the same family, there will always be a BIOS compatibility issue.
