  It is possible to replace the CPU in this model, but only to a Core 2 - nothing more recent work.  You probably won't win a lot of speed, do not really worth upgrading.  If you still want to do the upgrade, the fastest CPU that will work on the Intel T9500, probably still available used (but not nine years).

  It seems that the most you can install is 16 GB (2 x 8 GB Modules), but you can certainly add an another 4 GB to give you a total of 8 GB - see the website on the following link and compatible options.

  If it would work then you could create a new user account and could use this new login account.

  If you can find a PATA SSD then probably. You should make sure that the rider is manually to the master. There could also be compatibility problems.

  Overall, I would recommend you just replace it with a regular PATA HDD... There is less chance of a problem.
