  You can quickly determine if the problem is related to your GPU or driver as follows:

  1. Launch Photoshop.
  2. Choose Edition > Preferences > Performance (Windows) or Photoshop > preferences > Performance (Mac OS).
  3. Deselect "Use the GPU."

  IS!... LED MBP display worked again. If the problem was simply that the cable of the LED screen did not have a good connection. So, just to be disconnected and reconnected to make good contact.

  This maybe off topic but it's worth a try. It may be your screen LED cable which does not have a good contact.

  I have a MacBook Pro 17 "late 2011, 2.4 Ghz, 16 GB RAM with OS X El Capitan installed, the latest version with all the updates." A year ago, I've had my Toshiba HDD replaced by Samsung SSD 250 GB SATA III 850 EVO and the Toshiba disk has been moved to CD using LMP disk Doubler Bay, at the same time, I had my RAM went from 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM, I have now.   I CAN only boot single user mode, Apple Hardware Test mode, the boot (by holding the ALT/OPTION key) Manager and verbose mode.   I can not open CC on my Macbook Pro 2014 model. The icon in the taskbar is grayed out, and when I click on open there is just a gray white screen.
