23-p109nb Pavilion: Pavilion 23-p109nb memory upgrade

I want to upgrade the memory of my Pavilion 23-p109nb, but I don't know what voltage of the memory to buy.

On the specification of the product from the Hp website page, type is LDDR, LDDR means 1.35v.

But looking at the material specifications (also present on the HP site) document it says: 1.5V DDR sodimm

Can someone tell me please what voltage I need to buy?

1.35v is recommended for this series, but you can use 1.5V if you must.  Worst case, is that the 1.5V RAM works only at 1.35v.

    Hi João,

    Here's the Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04439615

    Source: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/5401225/model/5450238/manuals

Page 3: up to 12 GB max listed, but your comments in this forum, you can go up to 16 GB (8 GB in two slots) without any problem. I don't see any use to spend money to total more than 8 GB of RAM unless you're in video editing, photo shopping, multi tasking etc.

Page 47: fairly easy upgrade possible RAM, DDR3L 1600 MHz PC3L - 12800 SODIMM SDRAM - put two exact same configuration modules may even mark for the best compatibility. Use the scanner online crucial, Kingston because they lists guaranteed compatible modules.

Get at least 256 gb SSD so regarding the recovery media to work in a factory restore in SSD. Otherwise migrate/clone SSD HARD drive.

I use Samsung Evo SSD in my laptop Pavilion 15. It also requires major disassembly exactly like yours.

  • Pavilion A700 n memory upgrade

    Hello

I want to upgrade the RAM on my Pavilion Z700 n that was installed with 512 MB. When I got outside, the label on it said that it was a PC3200 400 MHz DDR.

But when I checked online, the manual said that it the PC uses PC - 2700 RAM.

Also, when I checked in with Crucial line for the compatible modules, the site suggested that I could have a maximum of 2 x 1 GB PC-3200 modules while the manual says I can install up to 2 X 512 MB PC-2700 modules.

Could someone clarify if I can install 2 X 1 GB PC-3200 modules on the machine?

    Thank you

Your PC has a motherboard ASUS A7V8X-(Kelut) . The plug from motherboard to state that it will accept 2 GB PC2700 / memory modules DDR PC2100 non ecc.

Think this Crucial than said you. The modules are guaranteed compatible with that upgrade is expensive compared to upgrade a PC more modern that uses DDR2.  PC3200 modules will have their speed downgraded by your BIOS by the SPD settings that the BIOS sees it in the code memstick. PC2700 / non ecc PC2100 modules are simply not easy to find because they are no longer manufactured.

Yu will have to remove the installed OEM memory modules and use only new replacement modules

  • G6-1141sl Pavilion: Pavilion g6-1141sl memory upgrade

    Hello world

I had the laptop above (Pavillion g6-1141sl) a few years ago. It's quite slow now, global memory is almost full, as soon as I open some software, so I would like to upgrade.

I found different opinions from different sources about the limit of memory of the laptop:

-on the technical specifications of the HP Web site-> memory: 4 GB max memory: expandable up to 4 GB (!) http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-G6-notebook-PC-series/5082224/model/5149102/document...

-on the Manual :-> supports up to 8 GB in the following configurations: 6 GB = 4 GB + 2 GB, etc. (!) http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02834221

-different Web sites different status information.

The laptop has two slots and comes with a single filled with a 4 GB module.

Can someone help me understand if I can add several memory modules? I don't want to buy a new laptop only to add little RAM.

    Thanks in advance

I have seen and talked about. This can take up to 8 GB, but HP sold only with up to 6 is how I interpret that. Other laptops using the same basic material can take 8 gigs. I am sure it will take 8 gigs.

My question: is it possible with my laptop? I searched online but never found something useful for my exactly the product name.

    THX in advance,

Yes, you are good for up to 8 GB. From what I can tell that you have intel Core generation 2d so that you cannot install 16 concerts.

  • Question on Pavilion DV6-2140EF memory upgrade

    Hello

I tried to replace my 2 * 2GB memory modules by modules of 2 * 4 GB on my Pavilion DV6-2140EF

The maintenance manual mentioned that each module of memory should be 4096-MB, 1066 MHz DDR-3 DIMM (part number 579155-001)

It supports the total system memory of 8192 MB (4096 MB x 2, dual-channel).

I bought these two 4 GB modules:

    Corsair RAM DDR3 up to 1066 CL9 Kit2 COR

But it did not work. Windows 7 64 bit Pro could not start, even if the memory of 8 GB was visible through the BIOS and test memory BIOS was ADOPTED. I tried with a single 4GB module and I had the same problem. When I handed the older modules, it worked good gain.

Now, I am planning to buy these modules:

    Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2) 204-pin PC3-8500 DDR3 SODIMM, Unbuffered, CL = 7, NON ECC, DDR3-1066, 1.5V, 512Meg x 64

    Would this work better?

    Kind regards

    Hi, Niko:

I want to save you money...

According to the specifications of your PC, it already comes with a 4 GB module, so you only need another module of 4 GB maximum memory up to 8 GB.

The essential module that you posted must absolutely beautiful work, but simply get one of these 4 GB chips.

A few years ago, I bought a HP Pavilion dv5 notebook of 1160eh, and it still works perfectly. However, I want to update the modules of memory because of my work. I would like to know the quantity maximum memory, it can handle. I found the laptop works with DDR2 and the original modules run on 667 Mhz. is it possible to uprade to 4 or even 6 or 8 GB? And if it's possible, is it OK to use 800 Mhz modules?

    Hello

Please look on the right side, it tells you the total and combinations. You can use 800 MHz RAM but only run at 667 MHz. You can buy from them or to use this information to buy elsewhere.

If I wanted to add another 4 GB to my memory, I looked on essential and put in correspondence with several options for a 4 GB card.

All are unbuffred, NON - ECC 1.35v.

What is appropriate for my laptop?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Normally the machine accepts one step further and further down, BUT he always run at a lower speed if the two are not the same. Your machine currently has "4 GB DDR3L SDRAM (1 DIMM)" therefore, to get all the benefits of the dual channel, you must buy the same features, same brand of the existing 4 GB. You must DDR3L (1600 MHz) RAM. Please use the page #54 of the first manual from the following link:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&LC=en&product=6947896

How can I find the AMT of max memory I can put in my Pavilion a810y?  It of sites that say 4 GB and other telling that to 2 GB.  Is the real answer please stand up.

    Hello:

Your PC would have the Intel 915 chipset.

If the motherboard has no memory, each with 1 GB of memory, 2 slots then you're at the max.

Locations of Intel 915 chipset memory cannot manage more than 1 GB of memory.

The crucial memory upgrade link I posted said your PC had 4 locations of memory, so that the info is wrong.

If you upgrade to W7, I recommend you only go with the 32-bit version on your PC.

A 64-bit system requires more disk space and memory to run as a 32-bit system doesn't work - not double, but, with only 2 GB of memory, a 32 bit OS will perform a little better that will be a 64 bit OS, but who is to you.

  • Pavilion G6 memory upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade to 4 GB memory on my g6 pavilion laptop, but want of memory site to know what version of the g6, IE there are several dozen computer laptop g6-xxxx numbers of model in the list, so he can advise the best elements.

The pages of OS system information and Device Manager the list just like a g6 pavilion, and the physical label on the back of the camera is not even go that far.  It does not list the item such as a 584037-001, whatever that means.  How can I know which (the suffix xxxx g6) my g6 is in fact so I can identify the best modules of memory for an upgrade?

    Davdik10

You have a laptop HP Pavilion 2002au g6. Unfortunately you happened to choose a laptop that is not so simple to upgrade.

You will need to contact an online memory provider and ask them for help to find a guaranteed compatible 8 GB upgrade or buy the upgrade from HP.

Search for suppliers of memory online using Google or Bing and ""memory upgrade HP Pavilion g6-2002au ' as keywords. " I strongly recommend that you don't settle for anything memory compatible modules less guaranteed by well known memory manufacturers.
