24-bit hex 2 Add-in

Hello

I need help with this problem, I have 24-bit hex data inbound and required for the output of the complement of 2 signed numbers. The parties work separately but not together. Any help would be appreciated.

LabView 2011. If necessary, I can post a version especially.

Thanks in advance.

The problem in your first VI is that you use the hexadecimal string for the number function.  But you do not have a hexadecimal string.  Would be a string as 6 characters 7 F.  You have a string of 3 bytes 7F FF FF.  You just need to use the conversion you have.  But you first need to add a byte zero at the front of this so that it turns correctly in the I32 data type.

Basically, I have a 13-bit-hex figure, now I want to find the 8th bit of sales and output. How can I achieve it. I definitley tried but none of them worked.

    Thank you very much

It seems you want the figure 8, not the 8th bit.  Make your mask 0000000F00000.  Who should choose the number you want. You may need to do a few extra things to get right and not 0000000C 00000.

  • Convert two U8 single 12-bit hex

This should be very simple, but for some reason, I am struggling to find a solution.    I have some data to 12-bit temperature sensor integrated into two U8.   I need to to strip-4 bits of the most significant byte of U8 and add them to the LSB U8 to get a reading in HEXADECIMAL in the temperature.

I have attached a simple snippett VI which emulates the incoming data.   The U8 MSB is typically 04 h, 14 h, 84 h or h 94, function of sensor that reads the FPGA.   Currently, the reading goes bonkers when the MSB U8 password 04 h and 14 h to read the second sensor.

    Thank you

If I understand your problem, you want to take a 8-bit number representing the high byte of a quantity of 12 bit and basically keep the low 4 bits.  In other words, you want to hide (or clear) the high four bits of the page.  Boolean functions are your friends here...

  • read from bit hex

    Hello world

I have been using a touch screen for a project. I am now able to read hexadecimal values and convert them to decimals through LabVIEW. However, I need to be able to read the beginning bit everytime. Now, when I move my finger on the touch screen, the scroll of hexidecmial values and I eventually read hexadecimal numbers in the middle of result rather than the beginning of the string. Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

I have attaced my VI, so you can see what I have so far.

    Thank you very much

  • 4-bit hex?

    Hi all

Suppose I do a read VISA and the result I get is A602000000A8 in hexadecimal.  However, given that I am reading a VISA, I will get the Ascii equivalent of this spell.  I don't know how to convert the hexadecimal Ascii, so this isn't the problem.  Let me give you an example (see attachment).

If I expect getting A9 in hexagonal back to read it, I should be reading \n\tclick VISA read.  When I do the conversion, instead of getting A9, I get A 0, 09.  This is due to the fact that ASCII is 8 bits.  However, since I expect a hexadecimal number I care about is 0-F in hexadecimal.  In a Word, I only need 4 bits.

In short, how to convert \n\tclick chain to the A9 in hexadecimal (not 0A 09).

    Yik

The warp the string according to the byte array. The first byte of the U8 array will be 0xA6. Make the hexagon of display format if you do not want to convert decimal 166 in your head.

  • No wireless network under Vista 32 bit when I add more than 2 GB of RAM

    Hello

I am running Vista 32-bit Ultimate Edition (Service Pack 1) on my desk, I had 2 GB of physical memory installed on my system. but I recently had to increase the ram to 4 GB.

I got D-link Airplus G + DWL-G520 + wireless adapter PCI, which worked very well with my OS. but since I upgraded my ram to 4 GB. He stopped to show me any network or to create or connect to another, using a d-link's router which works fine with the other portable 2 of my friends.

I even thought about updating my operating system to 64 bit instead of 32 that I use 4 GB of ram, but d-link does not support this product so I'm not able to find the 64-bit for this network card driver.

y at - it a patch or upgrade that I do on my vista ultimate 32-bit if I get my network wireless connected to my office with the same network card?

    Thank you guys

    Cordially :)

    Hello

If the 4 GB of RAM is important for you try a newer pci adapter.

Xtreme G wireless cards come out kind of standart.

This card is inexpensive has x 64 driver too and works very well.

  • Cut a single bit of a byte?

OK, so im a mechanical guy, not a guy of programming allows so start there.  I just learn how works the hexadecimal and have limited experience in LABview.  I searched this topic for days, maybe that's just my vocabulary, but I have not found anything.

I need to analyze a signal from a CAN system.  I have not the device can still, but I'm to access sensors position on the system.  They come as 8-bit hexadecimal messages.  I am currently simulating this message string in LABview, so I can get some of my loan program.  The manufacturer gave me the example of code that requires the concatenation of two bytes, but I only need 3 bits to concatenate. (the last cut piece and the other 2 must first hoist little.)  I've already concatenated the two bytes required but may not know how to get rid of a single bit.  I need to do as hex values for appropriate measures.  I know my grammar programming is probably only a little off so let me give you an example.

Example of a string of hexadecimal values

    03 23 21 B4 C4 74 F6 F6

    The first sensor requires bits 3 & 4 (21 & b4)

In this case, they must be in the order of 4.3 and drop the first bit to receive 421 as the necessary hex value.  So far, I have made an input string to simulate the entrance CAN message with this 8-bit hex values.  I then use subset of string to isolate the individual bytes and concatenate finally to get them in the right order and end upward with B421.  I can't figure out how to drop the 'B' bit or replace it with a zero.  I can only replace complete byte.

Y at - it an easier way to do it.  I intend to use the example of VI to receive the CAN messages which returns a string, so why I am using strings.

Thanks in advance for the help.  I'm going crazy trying to figure this out.

Also if all the other details are required please let me know

Here's my VI.  Yes, they are formatted as hexadecimal strings.  Just trying to be part of the programming carried out before entering the test site.

The manufacturer told me that the hexadecimal string of 3 bits can then be converted into usable numbers.  So, if its more faster/easier to replace the first byte of a 0 or be a hexadecimal string of 3 bits.  Either will work.

Thank you for responding so quickly, I should have posted here yesterday haha.  I have not used LabVIEW for about 5 years, and that was just basic stuff so I'm back in the swing of things.

  • Conversion of two 16-bit hexadecimal words in full signed

I'm currently trying to use labVIEW 2010 to read the temperature and the information of mass flow out of a tool for modbus. However, the instrument returns all values in 2 16-bit hex words by ordering "Intel bytes. I can't convert that signed decimal information usable. For example:

    Signed integer of 1-2 Word

    527E 41 C 0 + 24.0402793884277340

I tried to merge the words and mount them in decimal, but nothing helped. Any help or advice is appreciated as I am new to labVIEW and work with raw data in general.

    My current code is attached.

24,040 is... what you are supposed to get? You speak of a whole, but it is floating point.

In any case, if that's what you want to get it is quite simple:

  • How the output voltage is coded on 16 bits DAQmx devices?

In our laboratory, we have two devices DAQmx, the NOR-PCIe-6363 and the NOR-PCI-6733. Both have 16-bit for bipolar analog output precision. I understand that the small voltage difference that can be made is 2 * Vref/2 ^ 16, where Vref is the reference AO voltage (10 Volts or externally provided for 6733, 10 or 5 Volts or externally supplied for the 6363).

I wanted to know how the output voltage is coded. DAQmx functions take 64 bit floats as input, and at some point, they must have their reduced accuracy. How is this done rounding, is a floating point around the nearest possible tension, or is always rounded down or always rounded upward?

What is all the possible output voltages? Some diagrams in NOR-DAQmx help/measurement Fundamentals, signals, Analog, sampling considerations seem like they could involve the maximum voltage + Vref is not achievable, so I think that is all of the possible tensions - Vref + 2 * Vref * n/2 ^ 16, with n ranging from 0 to 2 ^ 16-1 included. This includes - Vref and does not zero but + Vref.

Could I get confirmation on this point, or be corrected if it is wrong?

    Hi Chris,

The scale of writing DAQmx version performs double floating precision scaling and then he made a turn, the closest to convert the resulting code of the DAC to double int16_t (or uint16_t for unipolar devices). Floating point scale includes the custom scale AO if you have configured one, the conversion of volts or AMPS to the codes of the DAC and for some devices, the calibration scale.

You can check the coefficients of scaling using the AO. Property of DevScalingCoeff. It takes V / A-> CAD codes and scaling into account calibration, but not the scales to customized AO.

The PCIe-6363 X series devices preset scaling in software. The internal reference of the AO is slightly higher than 10V, to correct the errors of gain and offset does not limit the output range. It also means that you are not limited to 9.9997 V on this device when you are using an internal reference.

The PCI-6733 uses calibration DAC instead of software scaling. RAW - 32768 means - 10 V, 0 corresponds to 0 V, 32768 is impossible because of two of the 16 bits of the add-in and 32767 translates 9.9997 V. When you continue 10 V to write DAQmx with this device, DAQmx he forced into 9.9997 V.

Note that for these two devices, the absolute accuracy full scale includes over 305 uV of error. Look at the tables of absolute precision AO in the specs of the device for the full story.

  • I have 2 problems-how can I activate my Add ons and how to uninstall Windows Anti Virus. I need help, please.

I have Windows XP 32-bit with IE8 Add ons.  I mainly use Firefox Mozilla for my browser and Yahoo as my home page.  Anyway, I have tried all the support and help guide and technicians told me to do to get add ons to open and activate but in vain.  This computer was given to me as a profession, and it was used in a Bank, so I think that the system administrator has disabled the add ons.  I myself as an administrator and use the tips and tricks given windows and Microsoft, but I always run up a wall.  I need help, please.
I also need to know how to uninstall Windows antivirus software.  I can't find anywhere on my computer.  I feel really stupid and he is probably right in front of my face, but I can't find it to uninstall.  I have McAfee that I paid dearly for if I want to use it until it expires.

This "Microsoft antivirus' witness (AKA Trojan W32/FakeAlert) hijackware infection!

If you manage to somehow move to Win7, you will always have an infected computer.

The ONLY way to solve the problem is by formatting the current hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows, whether it is WinXP or Win7.

The ONLY way you can do a clean install of Windows XP if you have disks that came with the computer or if by chance, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the system restore).

If your kids er - well & their spouses are going to spend money on a new HARD drive, they'be be better spend on a low-end Windows 7 computer and brand-new (for example, a netbook or a mini).

NB: Any data on your Windows XP computer must be considered 100% reliable! (This includes all of your usernames and passwords, for example, those used for online banking, etc.) You do NOT want to put ALL the data from Windows XP to a new computer or HARD disk.

Good luck, Grandma. Hope that your grandchildren will treat you better than their parents.

    Hi IanTVH,

This can happen due to a startup program that is running in 64-bit.

    Step 1:

I suggest you double check the Task Manager and see if a program is running that could be 64-bit

    What is the Task Manager?

    Step 2:

You can also try to perform a clean boot and check if the problem persists.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

After you resolve the problem, see the section on boot link to how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • RDM x 32 bit and x64bit (physical mode)

    Hello

Is it possible to remove the physical mode of x RDM 32 2003 Standard edition bits and then add in the x 64 2003 standard edition OS? is supported and documented somewhere?

A RDM is simply a pointer to a raw LUN on a storage system that is formatted with the comments of functioning of the NTFS file system (in your case). You can connect the LUN/RDM to any other VM that supports this independent file system if it is an OS 32-bit or 64-bit. You can even present such a LUN on a physical Windows host and it will work.

  • Is there an easier way to add shares to executives? (except via the Code Snippets)

    Hello world...

Am yet to learn Flash and find out the best workflow etc. I find it a bit awkward to add shares to executives. The only way I can find to do it is to select the image and use a Code snippet. There must be a quicker way? for example

    1. move the playback cursor to desired in the montage image

    2. right click and select 'Add Actions to this framework' (if it exists)

But it doesn't seem to be something as simple as that. If there is not already a code within this framework, there seems to be no simple way in the Actions panel or flyout menu to edit the current image As.

    Did I miss something?

Let's say I want to add a code to frame (see screengrab) 23. I know that the line of code, I need, and I have 23 Frame selected - I do to add an entry for scene 1 | Actions: 23 in the Actions panel frame?
