2503 power dock

After talking with four people at Lenovo/IBM support, as well as to quite a bit of digging on my own, I was unable to increase the part number for the docking of 2503 advanced for my T500. The part number of the is42W4629 docking station. All I need is a spare for her power cord. Maybe someone in the forum here can better driving that I do as to where I can find this information.

I knew that, even if it was a discontinued product, Lenovo/IBM would at least be able to tell me a part number so I could pick up that can be variable in the ether. Research on eBay, Amazon and Google have all turned up many instances of the docks sold jointly with the food, but not on its own initiative.

I'd appreciate if someone else would be able to help me in this.

The power cord is exactly the ordinary kind three pleaded the power cord used on many laptops.

  • Advanced (Type 2503) USB Dock question...

    Hi all

To get help on another subject, I came across a question.  There are 5 ports USB 2.0 on my Thinkpad Advanced Dock.  They are 'native' or are they acting as a 'hub '?

And if someone could clarify the difference, too, please.  My understanding is that 'native' ports on a full 480 Mbit/s each while the ports 'wheels' share than 480...  Isn't it?

    Thank you!

Got an answer to my own question...  5 ports USB 2.0 on the advanced dock 2503, are, in fact, NATIVE ports.

    Hi all

I have a Dell coming Pro 7130 11 and the docking station. I can't have an external display to work using the HDMI port or display connectors. I have 2 Dell E198WFP (1440 x 900), the two connecting using DVI inputs. Display sometimes appears, but does not have the resolution or refresh rate tries to run at 75 Hz despite being set at 60 Hz

AFAIK drivers etc are all up to this date, the tablet can connect to an external monitor using the construction to the mini HDMI port without problem?

    Any suggestions, anyone please?

Hi, the dock rarely works for me... the workaround I found is to unplug power dock and plug back in. (works 95% of the time, I get the monitor like that). It is with the 7130 model.

Is it possible to use the power of 90w using the "230w" dock?

Why is there a difference in power between 2 platforms?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

230w power must allow the docking of a mobile workstation, these laptops are over powered and therefore need a power supply the higher power.

230w docking station is required to manage this more load, although physically, it's the same as the 90w, it includes elements that are evaluated for the 230w.

  • NEITHER 6229 let me power Signal in NOR 2503

Hi everyone, I'm feeding a train of pulse (Signal of PFI P2.0) my NI 6229 map to my card to MUX NI 2503.  I pass the MUX of topology Quad 6 x 1 2 son.  My pulse PFI train signal goes to COM1 + and I am firm MUX_CH6 + to use for external signals.  This signal will be on MUX_CH6 -?  Will it be a reference to the ground or no connection?  I know that for a signal from the outside in the MUX and then MUX6 + = SIGNAL HI and LO-MUX_6 SIGNAL = but how about signals leaving the MUX and then power external circuits.  What does MUX_6 have on this subject?

    Thank you very much!

COM - is not bound by default to what whatsoever.  If you only have a PFI line in your COM +, then your COM-, and later MUX_CH - will not have any signal on it (it is not related to chassis ground etc. so it's just a wire connected to nothing).

  • HP Docking Station EN488AA - part number for power adapter

    Hello

I have a HP Compaq nx8220 laptop, with HP Docking Station EN488AA.

Unfortunately I lost the power supply for the docking station.

I always have the power supply for the laptop itself (393955-001), but they do not plug in to the docking station. This is the correct voltage but only 90 w instead of 120W, and the connector is the right size.

I search online for the part number for the power supply of the correct replacement for the dock, but it has become very confused when I found advertising sites the same spare part for the nx8220 and the EN488AA when they are clearly different because the plugs do not match. No specify the size of the plug so I don't know who is who.

Can someone help me identify the correct replacement part? Or better yet, is there an available adapter so I can use my power for the docking station too?

Attached are two photos - the plug of the power supply next to the entrance to the laptop (fits) and the dock (does not fit).

    Thank you

  • Super Speed USB 3.0 Docking Station - no power supply laptop?

Laptop is on and plugged in the docking station which is "powered".  Connection to the monitor / keyboard and mouse is fine, however I am surprised to see a less power - plug is soon message.  Docking station is not supposed to power the laptop?

In fact, I think that what makes a docking station for a docking station, because it is a device that actually connects to a docking port. Thus the name docking station. A usb port isn't a docking port. A docking port is a single port that provides many pine so different protocols such as video, audio, usb, and Yes power etc. all have their own connections so that they can operate at their full potential. A docking port is not a conversion of many protocols for a usb signal, then try to cram two ways between the pins a lot less. And saw that all the "docking ports" as far as I know, have connectors to supply them, I do not see how Dell calling a port replicator a "floor" could confuse someone. I don't think whether a good faith error or another, simply tactical knaves in the marketing department to take advantage of what people believe to be a docking port so that they can make a nickel. Think that a wharf shipping, with access full power, fuel, water, sewer connections, the whole shebang. But rather a boat anchor so that you can anchor your boat to the coast, so take your time waiting on what ever ashore ship transport boats you can find the basket with a limited amount of resources via a limited method.

  • Can I use my old pine 30 dock Ipod speakers for my computer? Is there an adapter that would allow me to plug into the power speaker on my desk?

I like the sound of my ipod dock better than the speakers external computer. I'm looking for a way to use the dock AS my computer speakers.

The iPod speaker-dock accessory has an auxiliary audio input.  It looks like the headphone jack of the iPod.  Or, it may have a pair of "RCA" (red/whtle) connectors, for audio input.  In both cases, you can use the audio cable to connect your computer to the speaker-dock.  For example, if it has an auxiliary input, you can use a cable like this (assuming that your computer has a headphone jack for audio output)

  • The Portege 7020CT power supply works with the dock?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Portege 7020CT (I know its old)
I would buy a Toshiba PA3007E-1DST on eBay!
In the description of sellers on eBay, it is written that a power supply is not included!
So he lies to be included power supply? Or am I ment to use my laptop Portege of power?

    All responses are greatly appreciated!

    Thank you
    Nick

Eh, it's really amazing that someone still use this old machine Portege. I hope it works perfectly.
If I m remembering well at the back of this port replicator is the DC power connector, so you should be able to use the AC for your Portege power cable and connect it to the port replicator.

The connector must be the same.
