• I have problems when you try to use a current OSX on my Mac eco system, causal link - specific needs on the three or four main applications.

  My systems include the MacMini, MB Air, Pro MB [all 2011] on OSX 10.8.5 Mountain Lion, with a MacMini extra [2011] with the help of El Capitan (for the purposes of the trial) as well as an iPadAir2 and an iPhone - both on iOS 9.

  I joined the eco system (from Windows) Mac to Snow Leopard and fortunately this used for all my needs. moving through the Mountain Lion and Lion (quickly), where I is a happy user!

  Failure to make progress in terms OSX is the result of...

  1. my extensive libraries of pictures were worked on - and are still being held in - iPhoto ' 09 (8.1.2) - which met my needs exactly - I have many albums which photos should be sorted manually - that is to say, not by Date, the former/Newest or title!  So, the current Photos app does not work as well for me on for my Scrapbook sort, although apparently it allows the movement only photo by mouse?
  2. I made 'heavy' use of iCal using many individual alert entries (!) of my choice as to the date, time, etc. and not very limited alert options offered by the newer versions (iOS-like) to iCal, where I use the alert custom-making every time! I avoid editing or for alerts in iOS 9 because o f the limited options available.
  3. I am a user passionate worksheet and delayed moving on numbers of Excel. I moved platforms for Cougar and live joyfully on numbers now with stored copies online as well.

  Tempting to work in El Capitan, I am "forced" to spend my worksheets to the most recent numbers app when I come to save and cannot then use the 'improved' version recorded on my systems of Mountain Lion (where I still pure copies!) -similar events occur when you use Pages; the lack of recoil connectivity is a major drawback for me that I apparently must keep OSX Mountain Lion to use my key apps 'base' to meet my needs!

  Are there workarounds 'smart' (or applications) that will overcome all (or part) of these "disadvantages", allowing me to good progress and update on El Capitan OSX (and Sierra at the right time)?

  I have to start using a different calendar system to have the usable alert options (which deviates from the eco system) systems on the scale?

  Should I go back to using Windows Excel (or Online) to my spreadsheet to have facilitated cross-OSX usage?

  On applications of numbers and Pages, there is a real problem if you need backward compatibility - alas, I don't have a solution for you.

  But I do not understand what limits you talk in calendar alerts. I can add events and alerts for them in El Capitan (and now Sierra) using the same methods that I used in previous versions. I can receive messages, sounds or emails in any number and both custom of my choice. Can you serious? Maybe post screenshots of before and after? I'm not available for the comparison of older systems. There are indeed limits if do you the same thing in iOS, but AFAICT not on the mac - and, especially, the alerts personalized on the mac are correctly transferred to the iOS device that I use (an iPhone), to my first mac.

  I need a product for a specific use, and it is not easy to obtain the necessary information with the data I found on the web. So I was wondering if anyone knows a Linksys product that fits the need.

  I am looking for a USB dongle to connect to a Windows PC. This USB dongle should * create * a WiFi network and an iPhone would connect to the WiFi LAN. The PC would then play the role of a gateway, that she would share his Internet Ethernet RJ45 connection with the devices connected to created WiFi. In addition, all the WiFi LAN traffic should be sent to a given SOCKS (v5) Proxy (which is actually on localhost).

  This is not actually a function of the adapter wireless and more attached to the PC operating system.

  If you are running a Windows PC is easy. Given that existed in Windows XP Internet connection sharing. It simply comes down to enable Internet sharing on the LAN adapter and assigning the host adapter wireless network connection. Then, you will need to add a wireless Ad - Hoc for your devices in the customer network to connect too. I guess that the wireless adapter must support wireless Ad - Hoc networks, but I think they all do.

  Linux\Mac have similar support sharing Internet.

  There is also software available that you can install to create a hotspot Wi - Fi with your PC.

  I suggest you research the procedures on the VMware site. I'm not aware of any firmware or BIOS upgrade requirements. You must use our custom image to perform the upgrade. Our custom image contains VIBs necessary for the equipment of the service. If you use a standard VMware image to perform the upgrade, then it is possible that the operating system cannot load correctly due to drivers missing/VIBs.

  I am a new user of DPS and can not find the place where a folio link to a specific application.

  Basically, I have two versions of the same magazine. Each specific to a platform (an iOS and an Android).

  I managed to create an app for iOS and publish a folio.

  Then I want a different version of this content (an another folio) to be released for Android application.

  I have two Adobe ID for each application with Application & App Builder roles assigned to them.

  When I connect to App Builder with or the other account, I see all the applications available for the main account.

  Although I have to copy the files that I find myself finally with rights of owner for each specific folio with the correct account, thus I am able to publish.

  So basically:

  • I have two pieces of IDENTIFICATION different adobe Application & App Builder roles
  • I have two different folios (A & B) (already done)
  • I want an iOS with A folio (already done) app
  • I want an Android app with folio B.
  • I DON'T want to neither app to see the A & B

  We are on Oracle 11.2.0.2 on Solaris 10. We need to be able to search on data that have diacritics and we should be able to make the serach ignoring this diacritical. That is the requirement. Now, I could hear that Oracle Text has a preference called BASIC_LEXER which can ignore diacritics and so only this feature I implemented Oracle Text and just for this DIACRITIC search and no other need.
  
  I mean I put up preferably like this:

  My need any only had to be able to do a search that ignores diacritical characters. To implement Oracle Text for this reason, I was wondering if it was the right choice! More when I find now that the functionality of the TYPE is not available in Oracle Text - Oracle text search are based on chips, or words, and they differ from the exit of the LIKE operator. So, maybe I just used a simple like function below and used that for my purpose instead of using Oracle Text:
  
  Just this feature (remove_dia) removes diacritical characters and maybe for my need is all what is needed. Can anyone help to revisit that given my need I better do not use Oracle text? I need to continue to use the feature of as operator and also need to bypass the diacritics so the simple function that I satisfied my need while Oracle Text causes a change in the behavior of search queries.

  If what you need is AS feature and you do not have one of the features of Oracle complex search text, then I would not use Oracle Text. I would create an index based on a function on your name column that uses your function that removes diacritical marks, so that your searches will be faster. Please see the demo below.

  I have several questions:

  I have 2 gmail accounts and receive emails for each in different tabs in T.bird. It works very well.

  I want to add a YAHOO address and create a third tab in the client to send and receive mail from yahoo.

  Do I need a new profile for that?

  If I choose to use my existing gmail email will be adding yahoo erase or delete my gmail accounts? The interface of Mozilla is really confusing. If I do not want to use gandi there is a button at the bottom of the dialog box that says: ' pass it and use my existing email. I would be delighted if the specific needs that I've addressed here. None of the help to address documentation. Adds an address yahoo an "existing email"? Seems to me adding that yahoo would add A NEW ADDRESS to a SERVICE PROVIDER OTHER. This is where the confusion begins. Software God UX can be terrible.

  Do not buy the gandi account if you already have an e-mail account.

  Select existing e-mail account and add your details of Yahoo. You can add as many account you want. I don't think that anyone has found a limit when one exists.

  In the world of Thunderbird e-mail account means that you have already established with a messaging provider, not the one you already have installed in Thunderbird.
