• How to view graphical waveform Excel data

  I have a file .csv with 4 data column.  I found something for another thread that allows me to display data from an Excel file in a table.  I have a problem with the following:

  (1) I need to display column data 4 but I can't seem to find a way to add other elements to the Invoke node so I'm stuck with power display only 2 columns of data.

  (2) why can't take my output and put it in a table, and then view it on a waveform graph?

  Please take a look at the attached VI.  I took notes in the block diagram.  When I try to join the Excel data to a chart, it indicates that the source type is a string, while the sink type is double.  How can this be when the Excel file has only whole?

  Hi all

  I was next to the forum of Labview for about a year, it's the same with my programming so I'm a little rusty. I don't have someone code this for me, but just a quick plan high level to point me in the right direction.  I am able to work through the tutorials Excel etc.

  Task 1: Basically, I have a set of data Excel (2 to 6 columns of figures, not the time) I want to read in Labview and throw in a XY graph as the base model that remains visible all the time.  This data set is quite long, length vs. size (length is 100km, 1 m intervals). I essentially want a scroll X graph to display all of the data.

  Task 2: Acquire a direct serial data string which will be superimposed on the graph of task 1 model. Acquired essentially data comparing data in real time to previously.

  In the past, I made the simple projects with Excel data reading and also the reading of data in series.  What I'm not clear on is how to create the (static) graph with Excel data model while superimposing live data as it comes.  It is the basis of an annual check of the investigation process.

  Advice on the process would be appreciated so I'll be working through the nuts and bolts.

  If you are worried that your data sets is too large, then run a test with simulated data to see how LV takes it. You might be surprised. In all cases, you should be aware that the chart control will need to redraw it with any changes you do anyway, and as far as I know, having a large amount of data is the main thing that can make a slow chart control. If you find that you have too much data, you might need to decimate it you based on how much you zoom before putting it in the graph.

• Data of runtime of overlay on top of excellent data

  I have data from Excel I want to plot them on a graph in LabView, while the data collection program, I would like to overlay the current data on the Excel data as a Visual top to ensure that the test runs well.

  Does anyone know where is an example of one such vi maybe?  Maybe you can give me some advice on how to do this?

  If I did not have a maximum number of iterations, I would use a while loop instead. Otherwise, if there is a maximum number of iterations, a stop point can be added to a loop on the right by clicking on the edge of the loop and the conditional terminal option selection.

  I have many files eps by S1, S2, S3, S4... sequence. and as much of are available in excel file data.

  Script required:

  (1) S1 eps placed in page 1 and S2 eps on page 2... in indesign.

  (2) data from cells A1 Excel must place in the lower left corner of Page 1. and given cel A2 should place page 2 same place... in InDesign.

  Please provide the script for the same action in number of eps files and excel data.

  If you get a lot of formatting and garbage of Excel who causes an accident, you can first save your file as a delimited file and which allows to import into Dreamweaver using the same steps as import it tabular data.  These files are much cleaner and easier to import.

• Create a PDF template to use import Excel data

  I created a 'cover' page in Acrobat. I want this to be a template where I can import Excel data and insert my signature before sending it to our customers. It is a management report. How can I do this as efficiently as possible? So far I have converted each of these Excel files to PDF from Excel, open the cover.pdf, inserted the Excel file converted and inserted my signature and the text. I think that there is an easier way to do this?

  This is called a fusion and mailing. There is a possibility of Embedment in some versions of Excel (via the Acrobat PDFMaker plugin), or it can be done using a script.

• Which connects InDesign template with excel data

  I have a pretty weird that I start.

  I need to make a model of design with different data fields.  There will be about 100 pages total.  The data of these text fields is stored in Excel files.  I know that I can just copy and paste the information from one to the other, but I was wondering if it was possible to somehow dynamic link between the text field in the spreadsheet so that, if the data changes in excel it automatically updates in the indesign file.

  Or is there another solution out there somehow since excellent data link to a model?

  Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

  Yes, the answer is in your preferences. Create link when you place text files or a spreadsheet. Wording is perhaps not right because I don't have InDesign not open right now.

• Import Excel data into Form Designer

  I developed a dynamic form in Livecycle designer that will be sent to hundreds of schools throughout Nebraska.  There is a table in this form that has buttons to add or remove a line while dependent students informtion can be entered in this table. How I shape now works perfect for most schools, however; with the largest schools that will enter in over 200 different lines of information, it will be a long unessarily task.  Most of these schools already have the information that we solicit in an Excel file.  Is it possible for an end user of this form, using the adobe reader software to import excel data into the table?

  It is possible, but you will find may be more difficult than what it's worth.

  1. you must manipulate the worksheet to make it look like a DB

  2. you must set up an ODBC connection on the system running the form and the worksheet...

  3. you would have to change to point to the worksheet from the definition

  4. you wish Reader the form using LiveCYcle Reader Extensions to allow the ODBC connection occurs in the drive.

  This is my first post here, so please be gentle!

  I am a relatively new user of InDesign CS4, and I created the list price of the manufacturer 70 - pg.  A very large part of each page will be of size and price information source of a large Excel spreadsheet.

  I created the table format I would use for each page, but the problem comes when I import the Excel data in this table.  For some reason, when I import, all this turns in a cell.  It would be preferable to import into a table not formatted and then put in the form table every time, or is there a way to simply import data into my preformatted table?  I've seen how the former, but the latter seems much easier (.. .Although that could be my inexperience talking).

  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  To paste a range of cells in the way you want, you have most of the steps down.

  The key point is to select the CELL at the top left of the area you want to paste into. See the screenshot below. The first cell in the range of rates is selected.

  You may simply move the active cursor in the cell. This puts the contents of the Clipboard into this one cell.

  I know it's the most common question on the wire... First, I searched the forum, I found lots of threads with loading data using sqlloader, excellent in conversion. Txt, file delimited by tabs, file .csv etc...
  
  Finally, I was totally confused in terms of how to get there...

     - Excel file on local computer.
     - i have laod data into dev environment tables(So no risk involved, but want to try something simple)
     - Oracle version 11.1.0.7
     - Sqlplus and toad (editors)

      - Without going to unix server can i do everthing on local system by making use of oracle db and sqlplus or toad
     

  SQLLOADER could be an option... but I don't want to go the unix server to place files and newspapers and stuff.
  
  Wat will be the best option and the easiest to do? and wat format better convert excel csv or txt or tab delimited etc...

  Toad version 9.0.0.160, you can directly load data excel file (or any other specified) to table using the navigation "database > import > import the data in the table.
  You need to connect to the database, then go to the above navigation. Select the table, validation interval (i.e. commit after each record or once all records), map columns in excel file to your table and press ok.
  It loads data directly to your table.

  But, if you use characters multibyte (such as Chinese) in excel file you want to load, then you must make some settings in your machine.

  Don't know if its possible in another version of Toad.
