2nd HDD to E540
Hello
What hard drive adapter I need to use to put a 2nd hard drive to my new E540 (replace the DVD drive)?
I found these:
http://shop.Lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/gbweb/LenovoPortal/en_GB/catalog.workflow:item.Detai... (ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay fit III)
http://shop.Lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/gbweb/LenovoPortal/en_GB/catalog.workflow:item.Detai... (12.7 mm of ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay fit III)
Neither an E540 compatibility lists.
So which HDD adapter I need to use and where can I get that (preferably in Finland/Europe)?
I have the OneLink dock, so I could use external hard drives, but I need to also have the 2nd internal HD.

I can add a 2nd HDD on my Satellite A300 - 02c?
Hi all
I wonder if it is possible to add a 2nd HDD in my A300 - 02c?
There is a HDD 2 slot, but no sata connector on the card (see the link to the image).http://www.NotebookReview.com/picture.asp?f=36752
I wonder if it is possible to add the connector (by myself or by the customer service).
If anyone knows if it is possible and where can I buy the sata connector... Please leave a comment :)Adrien.
I think that there is nothing you can do about it.
Satellite A300 comes with several different hardware configurations and several different mothers. Really, I don't think that you can add it in addition.FYI exact nearest maintainer contact authorized Toshiba and ask for help.
If anyone has any experience with this stuff then the Toshiba service technicians.

Hello
Maybe you don't see the second HARD drive connectors because the phone does not support the 2nd HARD drive?
Not all laptops even if the 2nd HARD drive Bay is available, support two hard drives.
Laptops come with different hardware and different motherboards, but with the same coverage
So the bays for HARD drives are available, but the motherboard does not support the 2nd HARD drive interface.Welcome them

Can I install a 2nd HDD in my Satellite P200 - 10 c?
Hello
I have a Satellite P200 - 10 c that I want to spend with a 2nd HARD drive. I called a Toshiba representative who told me that my model does not support another HARD disk. But then again, why she has a place at the back of the laptop for a 2nd one?
Could someone tell me if it can be used to host a 2nd HARD drive.
Thanks in advance
GerardoHello
What say if they said you model laptop does not support the second HDD while you can not improve with second HARD drive.
The user manual which can be downloaded from the Toshiba page says that this option is only available on several models of the p200 series. But it seems that your notebook does not support! -
I have a look at my DV7-3085DX and see that there is a second HDD Bay but no connection to connect a 2nd internal hard drive.
Is it possible to add connectors & turn on the 2nd hard drive Bay? If so how can it be done?
Also, I noticed that connections exist inside for a tv tuner, is it possible to use this connection?
Any help or answers greatly appreciated.
At least the drive and theoretically Yes Yes on the tv tuner even though it is expensive. You need the module and a special cable. I can't find the part on the internet or on this site, but you could maybe call HP or even look on ebay. Here is the part that you need to add a second drive. It's the caddy and a connection cable.

HP laptop - 15-ay038no: 2nd hdd/ssd HP for laptop - 15-ay038no
Hello
I recently bought a HP laptop - 15-ay038no and I want to add a 2nd hard drive. This model supports an additional hard drive?
I have a conector next to the CPU which is empty (wired Ribbon).
It is not an installed optical Bay.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-15-ay000-notebook-PC-series/10862300/model/12312518
After some extensive research, I found that the right of connector next to the central unit marked with jODD is the odd optical drive connector. I found the adapter 10 pins on ebay:
http://m.eBay.com/ITM/HP-TouchSmart-15-ac121dx-odd-SATA-connector-ls-C706P-w-cable-NBX0001TY00-/121969771896?NAV=WATCHING_ACTIVE
I'll give it a try. -
You need 2 TB 2nd hdd on Pavilion hpe h8 - 1380t so I can clone main drive. Problems?
I need to spend my second hdd to a 2 TB drive, so I can clone main drive. Are there compatibility issues, that I need to know?
It should not be. A 2 TB drive is an option on this model. If it will not be the main disk where the OS is installed, then the only real problem in that you should have to run is to find an additional SATA cable.

Size maximum 2nd HDD Inspiron 7720 17R SE
I wonder what is the maximum size 2nd HARD drive that can be installed in an Inspiron 17R 7720 SE? Currently, I have a 2 750 GB drive installed, but need more storage for video files. It will manage a 2 TB drive?
As long as the drive is 9.5 mm in height or more thin, Yes. Many of the readers of this size is 12mm or the taller - it will not physically be in the system.

2nd HDD got accidentally deleted.
Hello everyone: here is my problem, my father gave my grandmother's old Compaq Presaro CQ56. Running Windows 7. All that Ho I reset the computer by default. But I tried to delete old information my father on the 2nd hard drive. In doing so some how I accidentally deleted the hard disk driver it self. She is what I tried so far, computer restart. Pressing ESC at startup upward system restore and run the hard drive test. I tried a 3rd party called ease program we Partition recovery says a Web site could fix. Wouldn't let me press the transformed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for spelling and grammar issues. I have a learning disability. Thanks again Jenmoon1
Hi Jennifer,.
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forums.
I'm sorry to know that you are facing a problem on the Windows 7 machine. Let me try and help you with the problem.
1. did wipe you the data from the hard drive? You mentioned that you accidentally deleted the hard disk driver.
2 are you referring to the loss of data from a partition on your hard drive?
3. you mentioned on the second hard drive, could you please confirm if this is a partition, you are referring in a hard drive?
If data is lost during the factory reset, then you will need to use a third-party software or with your laptop to a local technician who would be able to guide to recover the data.
Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved.
Hope this information helps. If you have any other questions, we will be happy to help you.

DV7-3010so BIOS support for 2nd HDD
I plan to install a second hdd in my PC for entertainment of W7 (1 320 GB SATA HARD drive) and I found a shopping cart, the drive I have is 9.5 mm thick and there is a unit of 750Go with the same thickness.
My question is: the BIOS will recognize a 750 GB drive?
Previous books I had been strangled so that it was not possible to install much larger disks.
Yes the BIOS will be no problem. The 750 GB drive will function as a treat. SATA drives are not BIOS limited size as we do with IDE drives. Your laptop last must have been at the time of Windows 2000 since XP Service Pack 2 and Pentium 4 processors (2002-3 or almost) even the IDE drives have used big block (48-bit) and it was not really a limit of size of hard drive, but I'm old enough to remember when 512 megs, and 8.4 GB then 32 concerts then 123 concerts was the insurmountable obstacle.

How put the 2nd HDD/SSD in XPS 17 L701X-... There is no support!
I would like to replace my HDD for an SSD, but I want to continue to use the original HARD disk. The XPS 17 has two positions of HARD drive, but only one of them has the bracket. Where can I get a second tranche? None is listed in the list of items on the Web site.
I'm fine with another type of support that adapts, but so far I paint a white when searching for it.

(Redirected) INTERPOSER missing Alienware 17 2nd hdd slot
Hello, I have an Alienware 17 I bought last summer. What I've read the secondary hard drive slot was to have all the necessary things for adding a 2nd hard drive. It has the caddy (casing), extra screws, and the sata slot upwards, but doesn't have the leap card that is used to connect the drive to the sata port. I saw a YT video where someone with the same configuration as me (750 GB hd + 64 GB ssd caching hd) had the caddy, inserter, AND all that he saw.
Is there anyway to get a bumper card sent me Dell because he had a part that should have been included in a whole new system?

I just purchased a Qosmio F40-ST4101, and by default, I choose an option of a hard drive, because I do not have a help I want to install. Can someone show me where is it fits in or it is not possible to add a hard drive for only if ordered with the company?
Thanks in advance...
Hello
I m not 100% sure, but I think the HARD drive slots are placed at the bottom of the unit.
The first HARD drive Bay must be placed at the bottom near the edge of the front face.
The second span could be placed near the batteryI found the specs of the laptop here:

Installation does not detect 2nd HDD in NMH305 THAT do not
Hi all, tried searching but without success.
Just took my Media Hub that comes with a 500 GB HARD drive.
Tried to install a 1 to HARD drive I had cannibalize my Seagate FreeAgent desk but it does not detect my NAS.
I missed a step of configuration somewhere?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
TIA! =)
Try to erase/delete all existing partitions on the hard drive 1 TB before putting it inside the mediahub, if it has been used before inside the FreeAgent Desk then there is another system of files that understand not the mediahub.
See you soon.
