  Mike,

  Disable the LogMeIn driver from Device Manager and check. There are a few reported issues where LogMeIn driver has disabled the aero thus also changed the screen resolution feature.

  -Click Start, and then press on and enter type Device Manager.
  -Double click on graphics cards to expand the video drivers.
  -Right-click on the LogMeIn mirror driver and then click on disable.
  -Restart the computer and see if that helps.

  You can try to uninstall the video drivers and then install the driver from the AMD website as given in my first answer.
  Note: it is there no trouble uninstalling the video driver. When the video driver is uninstalled, Windows starts with minimum VGA drivers. The resolution of the screen (icons on the screen) may look bigger, but after installing the latest video drivers, the screen resolution will be back to normal.

  All the people who are sitting next to my wife to work hung a 2nd monitor at their consoles portable to give them the extra monitor space to work in.   XP...  Make sure you have the same image on the computer laptop and external monitor by using the Fn + F toggle key that I mentioned in my previous post. Right-click on an empty area of the desktop.  Left click on properties.  Click the settings tab.  You should see two monitors.  Click on identify.  The external monitor should show that monitor 2.  Click on the representation of the screen on the screen.  You should see below just a checkbox to «Expand my screen...» ' check that, to ensure that the resolution above this area is compatible with the external monitor and OK outside.  You should now see the Office extended to the external monitor.  Windows can be slid toward the new monitor and used as an extension of the screen of the laptop.

• I'm having a lot of problems with Dreamweaver CC on my 2nd monitor.

  I can't open new files or create new files... the pane is not displayed. Works fine on my Macbook Pro screen, but not on the 2nd monitor using Thunderbolt.   I found a "work around" for dual monitor problems I described above. Once you start Dreamweaver for the 1st time, drag the window to your 2nd monitor and then to put your mobile PC to sleep for one second. Once he wakes up to the top, the problems disappeared. Note: This must be repeated each time that you start the app, if I let him just on a lot.

  AGAIN - for the $$$ spent on Adobe and Apple products... this type of problem is simply not acceptable. Step up!

  Thanks for the file INF. I ck'ed for driver updates and I have the latest drivers installed.  I got the sound working on the TV by hanging the audio output of the PC to the entrance of the TV with the HDMI cable in place for video. It's the simplest solution to this problem, so I took it.

  By the way, I have a Dell 620 with windows 7.

  Your laptop should have a video which will allow to another monitor be hung and more
  the built in LCD. You then decide if you want that the monitors to display different
  programs or be used as a large screen where you can move programs from one screen
  to the other.

  Of course your system, a video camera and its drivers have to support with a 2nd monitor.

  My question is, hang both HDMI and VGA will harm my computer new HiDef screen.  I want to connect two computers to a single monitor.   An old Emachine has only VGA output monitor and my new Dell has HDMI and VGA.  There are programs on the emachine that does not work on the new 64-bit Dell, and I do not have space for two monitors, so I want to connect both to a single monitor.  If I only use one computer at the same time it will damage the nice new monitor - I don't want to do that.  Thanks for help.

  If the other computer is DISABLED, then this should work. Even if it is not it will not damage your screen.

  I'm on a quest to solve a problem with my second monitor when using Photoshop. When I hit F in photoshop to switch between display modes or when I Zoom in or out this happens:

  

  OK, well it is turned on its side, but you get the point. Until very recently, I used OS x 10.6.8 with Photoshop CS4 with no problems but ran into some problems with applications etc so I upgraded to Yosemite. That's when the problem started. In order to solve what I did a clean install of Mavericks in the hope that Yosemite was too new and that he had not brought bugs. Then I reinstalled CS4 there more this problem, but another problem just as boring. the profile for the 2nd monitor appears so desaturated and terrible that I can't use it to edit, despite several attempts to recalibrate.

  10.10 MacOS still has a number of video driver bugs, some causing display corruption and others causing accidents.

  Apple is aware of these driver problems and work on solutions.

  Turning off the use of Photoshop GPU can help.

  But if you need the GPU features, you can return to a stable version of MacOS.

  If you mean having the image in full screen on a monitor and the window PSE with all menus and controls on the other, go to Edition / Preferences / general and check the box "allow floating documents in expert mode. Then (as long as you are in Expert mode) you can drag the different windows around from anywhere.

  I would use a 2nd monitor with my HP all-in-one, but I can't figure out how to do this.  Our it guy says it can be done by using a VGA cord DMI but it does not work.  An another computer guy told me to get a USB cord with a graphics driver and technology at Best Buy told me that it is not possible to use a 2nd monitor with this all-in-one specific.  Please let me know if it is possible and how I would go to do.

  My dell is not detect a 2nd monitor when I connect it to my Acer monitor.  I tried to use the VGA cable with a HDMI adapter.  I also tried to use a DVI cable to HDMI.  The Acer monitor only has VGA and DVI - D connections?  Is there another way to connect the 2nd monitor?

  You can consider using a USB2 > DVI - D or USB2 > adapter VGA to connect the second monitor, but they are not exactly cheap.

  And if you buy one of these adapters, make sure that the one you get can clone (1) internal display, (2) extend the desktop on 2 screens and (3) show 2 different screens simultaneously and is compatible with any version of Windows that you are using.
