Please help me with the steps I must follow to upgrade/reinstall my Vista Ultimate OEM 32 bit Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I bought the upgrade CD, but I keep reading that I can't upgrade, I have to re - install. How do, or have I just wasted my money?
Thank you
David
The two DVD come in the box of Vista Ultimate. The same upgrade key works for both. The procedure is to let the 32-bit version on the hard drive for the verification of license and a custom installation will work. The hardware hash will be the same and the product key is the same for the activation servers to happen anyway as a repair installation.

Reinstalled Vista Ultimate Upgrade disc, how can I do a full version licensed facility?
I bought a Vista Ultimate upgrade version to upgrade my Vista Home 32-bit system. I wanted to update and it would be so 64 bits that takes care of my system. My HARD drive crashed and I had to reinstall from the Vista Ultimate Upgrade disk that I have. How can I make a legal full version?
Provide your license key is valid for your upgrade DVD you install twice, once as a clean install and then again an upgrade. What you do is 'redeveloped' Vista Vista"which is a route valid.

Runtime error Vista Ultimate Upgrade
I recently bought and downloaded Vista Ultimate Upgrade of the site ultimate steal Microsoft. I downloaded all three components: X 14 - 63453.exe, install.wim and boot.wim. I am running Windows XP Media Center edition 2005 with Service Pack 3 installed. In preparation for the installation of Vista, I did a clean install of XPMC edition. The Vista Upgrade advisor identified all my compatible material.
Whenever I run the executable file either by hard drive, dvd or USB hard drive, I get the same error: "the application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. "I don't get an error number in the message window, but I get the following in under the errors to the system event viewer:
Generate activation context failed for E:\Mike's Files\Burned discs\Vista Ultimate 64 bit Red\X14 - 63453.exe. Reference error message: the operation completed successfully.
.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
At the exact same time stamp, I get:
Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT could not be found and last error was that the referenced assembly is not installed on your system.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Research leads me to believe that libraries VC ++ are not included with the installer and therefore need to be installed on my system. In the case of corrent what application do I need to install to get these libraries? Office 2007? If this is not the case, correct, any advice on how to get my Vista downloaded to work?
Mike
Hi Mike
Windows XP Media Center Edition is a 32-bit version of Windows. You receive the error message because you are trying to level to a 64 bit Windows Vista version and is not possible. There is more information about the installation of Windows Vista x 64 contained in the link below.

I upgraded my computer which had OEM Vista Home of Windows Vista Ultimate Edition by buying an upgrade DVD, now 'only' computer died and I want to improve my new computer that has Vista Home OEM Vista Ultimate using the same Upgrade DVD. The final result uses the DVD to upgrade on a single computer, because the first died. How can I transfer the liscense to this software Vista Ultimate Upgrade to my new computer?
Perform the upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate as you normally and if you are unable to activate over the internet, then select the alternative "activate by phone".

The product key OEM genuine original of my software to 32-bit with service pack 1 (that I bought and installed on my computer) allows to switch from a 32-bit Vista Ultimate installation to a 64-bit Vista Ultimate installation on the same computer without changing the motherboard?
I would use a replacement disc from Microsoft 64-bit including Service Pack 2 as complete a reinstall? Microsoft 64-bit replacement drive has been obtained from Microsoft with the 32-bit version (which is currently installed) after some intractable problems found by the Microsoft Tech support in my OEM 32-bit software with service pack 1.
I'll be able to do an online activation?
Thank you.
Hello
You should check with Support to be sure. Normally the 32-bit and 64-bit key can
be used on the same system. Of course, you need to install the 64 who will wipe away
the installation of 32-bit. The key you should however work to check better
with that which supplied the disc. The manufacturer of your system can also provide input.I hope this helps.

Problem of camera Chicony after Vista Ultimate upgrade on the Satellite A200 - 1CZ PSAEC
Hey all.
I recently bought a Satellite A200-1CZ (PSAEC). It has Vista Home Premium preinstalled. But I wanted to be able to connect to my domain at work, so for this purpose, I had to upgrade to Vista Ultimate. The update itself went well, but after the upgrade, I can not the built-in Chicony webcam to work again. I tried to reinstall the software of the camera without success.
I also tried to plug the driver installation to the place on the PC where the drivers. He says that it is indeed the correct drivers, but there could be missing a post in the INF file. It seems that it must be written specifically for ultimate.
Anyone got a few other pilots or maybe a solution to this problem?

Satellite A200: After Vista Ultimate upgrade Chicony webcam does not work
Hello
I hope someone can help me. For 3 weeks, I have buy the Toshiba A200 with Windows Vista Home Premium and very good built-in Webcam function. I have no problem.
Yesterday I did an upgrade to Windows Vista Edition full and now the Webcam does not work.
Every time when I want to launch the following software message come «Please activate the webcam»In the it´s control panel that wrote this function of Doesna´t of hardware because the software isn't fair. But I have the right software. I have try the original software on me the hard drive and, of course, I do a download from Toshiba and I try this.
But I still got the same message. Please help me.
Hello
I m not an A200 owner and, therefore, I can not say much about this webcam tool, but to my eyes the Chicony webcam software should work with Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, because this version is almost the same as Windows Vista Home Premium. The ultimate version supports more features like Home Premium, but the software is running and must be compatible with both versions of Vista.
How did you install Vista Ultimate? You perform a new installation of the OS, or you upgrade only the Home Premium-> Ultimate?
Anyway, currently version 1.0 of the Chicony camera software is available on the Toshiba page.
You may need to wait until the new update has been published.By the way: also check these threads;

Don't arrive after Vista Ultimate Upgrade Windows Update to download SP1 for Windows Vista
I have 2 computers were pre-installed with Vista Edition family content and Basic Service Pack 2. Due to a new system of distribution to come in I had to upgrade to Vista Ultimate. I bought the DVD upgrade containing all Service Packs. After removing the Service Pack 2 and Service pack 1 (in that order) Windows Update will not download Service Pack 1
You have made or has not upgraded Vista Basic to Vista Ultimate computers?
That said, Windows Update has nothing to do with upgrading a Vista computer.
Given that these are specific consumer forums, try to publish in the appropriate Vista IT Pro instead-online http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsvistaitpro forum

Need for 64-bit Vista Ultimate 32-bit browser
I did something very stupid when I got my computer and delete the stock 32 bit IE with the intention to use only Mozilla Firefox. A year on the road, I realize that I need a 32-bit browser to use Mylabsplus of Pearson program for college assignments. I tried to download the 32-bit on the site and it says 'incorrect version of Microsoft internet explorer. "This version of Setup does not support your windows system type (32-bit/64-bit). stuck. Does anyone know how to get any kind of 32-bit browser running again? Is it possible now that I deleted my previous 32-bit IE? (I am currently running windows vista ultimate 64-bit)
Thank you
Reinstall windows. If the reason why you need THE 32-bit instead of 64-bit flash, you can download flash player for 64-bit Internet explore here:http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html
