35 Firefox can't remove google cookie

I just noticed that I was wearing a google cookie. I run a strict cookie policy and I had done, already an exception to "allow for session" cookies to books.google.com . I noticed today, in a completely new session, I was wearing a google cookie for ".". Google.com."I tried to delete this cookie several times. FF "behaves as if I deleted the cookie. I close the cookie GUI and here it is again... just like now...

Name: PREF
Content: ID = 996ac2fe99a32ac8:TM = 1418165280:LM = 1418165280:S =-EYElo0JUfSC84AS
Area:. Google.com
Path: /.
Send to: any kind of connection
Expires on: Thursday, December 8, 2016 16:48:07

I've removed the exception for books.google.com closed and restarted FF, looked at the cookies and it's once again! What is happening with this?
Just typing this message, I deleted and found "is reborn again" this cookie. I don't want to. I don't want to remove "all cookies" because some are at the heart of my security strategy in the management of my Web sites. I tried to type in the cookie of GUI "Google.com" and the value of 'block' and that's where (the block), I also put a 'block' for. Google.com and the cookie reappears.

So what is happening and why none of the usual methods does not work? There are still a few filters 'hidden' between google and Mozilla? I know that Mozilla has worked with Google in the local domain and the "safe browsing" appdata folder, I see a number of files «goog...» ».

I need to turn this option off to get my computers cookies google?

Kind regards
Axis

Hello FredMcD-

Apparently, there is a more widespread than my particular cookies.sqlite file problem.

http://StackOverflow.com/questions/6301114/how-pref-cookie-Google-com-appears-in-Firefox

There is a bug report filed here:
https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368255
But how old it is I don't know.

More frightening still is this link:
http://RT.com/USA/NSA-advertisers-cookies-track-browsers-034/

I already said you cookies.sqlite deletion (or delete all cookies) was not an option.

However, I managed to get rid of it using the SQLite Add-ons Manager. I installed the add-on and found google pref cookie in cookies Moz and the so-called 'Master' or something or other and deleted here.

It has now disappeared from my browser and never returned. I hope this post can help others... but the question remains, how did get there?

This edition is simply to add that, in my first attempts to remove the cookie Google Prefs, I had added a 'block' in the exception handler for the two google.com and *. Google.com

Once again, I have this, my own post marked as "resolved".

Kind regards
Axis

I'm the procedure indicated on the site of Firefox. I can't select a set of cookies to delete by selecting the first cookie in a game, then by pressing SHIFT - END. I guess the END is just the last point in the list you want to select. This does not (Mac OS 10.5.8, Firefox 3.6.15). I can only remove 1 cookie at a time. Sometimes when I delete a cookie it just reappears. There are cookies that I just can not remove, even within the same session, even when not having another open window which can be on a different site from Firefox)

You have an extension like TACO (Abine) that manages a set of OPT-OUT cookies?

TACO with Abine prevents displaying highly targeted advertisements using the detailed information about your habits of web surfing more of 100 different online advertising networks (including Google, Microsoft and Yahoo). TACO disables most behavioral advertising by setting 100 + permanent, generic and non personally identifiable "opt-out" cookies directly in the browser.

Unlike other opt-out solutions, this tool will make the persistent opt-out cookies completely. In other words, clear the browser cookies will delete all other installed cookies, except them.

If clearing cookies doesn't help, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite - journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the profile folder in case the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

  • Firefox does not remove expired cookies

I thought that all expired cookies should be removed automatically by the browser. but this isn't the way it happens in my Firefox (same behavior for different web sites).

close Firefox and even restarting the computer didn't help.
the only way to remove cookies expired since Firefox is: hand (which means I have to choose cookie in the privacy of the Firefox Options tab, and then press the 'Delete cookies' button).

Well, the good news: expired cookies are ignored by the servers (tested with a user through my virtual server script), but for some unknown reason continue to be stored off in Firefox.

Is it the way it should work?

Between the bug reports, it seems that Firefox does not remove expired cookies automatically. This only happens if you exceed the maximum storage limit of 3000 cookies. Deletion of expired cookies seems to be something that would have to do in time of inactivity, because he made a start or close does not adversely affect performance.

    Error console is also empty.

  • How can I keep the cookies but remove connections

Hello. I want to know something in FireFox. I want to know I want to keep my cookies but remove all connections when I close my Firefox. I Googled it a lot but couldn't find an answer. Therefore, it is possible to do. Yes, I went to options-life private-clear history when firefox is farm-settings only active connections checked and others off the coast. I logged in to twitter, closed firefox and then I opened firefox and went to twitter and was connected. It does not solve my problem. So please help me. I just want to keep cookies, but disable all connections.

A detail as a website to remember you (automatically log you) is stored in a cookie.

You can use these steps to make a Web site recognize and remember you:

    • Create a cookie 'allow' except to keep these cookies, in particular in the case of secure websites and when the cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
    • Tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

You must remove cookies for a Web site to make the site forget about you.

"Active connections" are on servers that use Basic authentication and use cookies to authenticate (remember you).

If you use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' to clear Cookies can exclude cookies and instead of letting the cookies expire when Firefox is closed to make the session cookies.

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: keep until: "closing of Firefox".

Create a cookie exception 'allow' for the cookies you want to keep as special cookies "remember me".

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

Firefox stores cookies used in the tabs that are currently open in the file sessionstore.js as part of the saved session data, so these cookies will be restored if Firefox is closed without first closing of these tabs.

You can set the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level pref 2 (never) or 1 (not HTTPS) on the topic: config page to deactivate the saving of cookies via session restore in the sessionstore.js file.
The browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred pref is used when you do not reopen last session automatically via "show my windows and tabs from last time" and use the same values.

  • How can I remove certain SPECIES to search Google in my list of search bars?

Recently, I decided to try a different search engine instead of Google, which I removed from my list of search engines in the search bar through the Manage search engines. Dissatisfied with this search engine, I decided to switch back, with the help of an add-on called Add to Search Bar. However, this disables the feature of AutoComplete for this search engine. I was able to get the feature semi-automatic back by restoring the default search engines in the menu manage search engines. However, now I can't remove the instance of search engine Google that I installed with the add-on. When I remove it, the OK button not responding and I have to cancel.

    Add to search bar

I have no problem with deletion of other search engines installed by this Add on, other than that Google one.

The file .xml for this search engine does not appear in the searchplugins folder in my profile folder.

Try to remove the file search.json and a possible search.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder.

  • How can I remove ad.yieldmanager in firefox 12.0

How can I remove ad.yieldmanager.com in firefox 12.0 that I went to tools, options, privacy, use of the custom settings for history and then added exceptions "ad.yieldmanager.com" must be blocked. Cleaned all cookies. It always appears when I connect on Firefox, just below my toolbars. I ran Avast Antivirus, Malwarebytes, Spyware Terminator 2012 and it did not help either.

If I have understood correctly, you are referring to the status bar (the little box in the corner of the window that is displayed when the page load).

Blocking cookies has no effect on connections to Web sites.

Install the Adblock Plus extension, and then subscribe to any general of ad-blocking, for example EasyList.

Alternatively, if you want to just block this particular field, install the BlockSite extension.
