  Victory cannot regonzie adapter, and I can't access the internet.

  I have not checked on the 3com site any other version of the driver available, and no version to fit with win7 is available.

  Seems I have to go back to XP or buy a new adapter :(

  If they have a Vista driver, that should work, but if the adapter goes back to the days of XP and no further forward, you will probably need to get something more recent.

• Equium A60-155 - Wireless is not lit

  Recently, I have an old Toshiba Equium EA60-155 off a friend for my nephew because he doesn't have a computer. It didn't work, but I would like to fix things.

  It was designed for XP and only has 768 MB of RAM, but works very well that now, I put XP back on except a problem. There were a couple of missing drivers, that I found and installed, BUT it doesn't have a wi - fi card.

  I plugged an old Wireless LAN CardBus PC Card and had the driver for it. Bulbs work on the map, and everything is OK in Device Manager. Even the Windows Wifi can capture my network.

  The problem is that the current Wi - fi does not seem to be on. Well the front light is not on. However, there is no power switch on this model.

  There is the Fn F8 button, BUT it seems to be the only Fn button that does nothing. I had to install a few other drivers for the other Hotkets, etc... at work, BUT I ran out of drivers to install.

  I guess that there must be a driver or a program that activates the key F8.

  Anyone has any ideas, I have searched high and low and most of the ideas for getting knowhere.

  Sorry if I write this too late. :(

  He's old enough for laptop and I don't know with certainty what is the card inside, but all notebooks with wireless network inside card have a small stick of Wi - Fi at the bottom with number of WLAN card. Using this number in Google, you can identify the card.

  Anyway, there is not a lot of possibilities because on the Toshiba support page there are two WLAN drivers listed for your model of laptop. Try to install both of them. One of them must be good.

The one on the central site (WATBCINX1 - 506th PIX) sends the packet correctly and one on the remote site (CTXPOINX1 - PIX 501) receives (checked using icmp backtrace on the two PIX). The problem is that PIX 501 at remote site return packages. I have to say that the two PIX hace a 3com OfficeConnect ADSL router as gateway Internet 812. If someone could help me I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you!

  I have a laptop 4030cds satellite. I recently, I deleted my HDD, installed win95 from a recovery cd toshiba and after I installed the updated release of win 98 2nd.

  After that, I installed an ethernetcard (3com10/100 Lan cardbus fast ethernet) to be able to use ADSL.
  Since then, I've installed this ethernetcard, windows 98 2nd edition. no longer starts.
  When I leave the card out of my computer and I restart the computer without the windows startup card and there is no problem. I want to be able to start my computer with the card in my computer, I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

• Satellite L100-120: Wlan does not allow the transmission of large data packets

  Satellite L100-120, Intel 3945ABG.
  Router Wi - fi is 3COM OfficeConnect Wireless, same problem with Dlink DI-524.

  By default my wi - fi card does not allow the transmission of packets of data.

  I use ping-f-l 1464 192.168.1.1 to check if it is possible to send a large package. All packages more then 600 large fail to be sent.

  It is tragically wireless performance and I almost cannot use internet at all. I solved the problem partially by setting the MTU to map wi - fi at 548. Connection is now stable, although I can not yet send massive emails. Anyway, it is not a good situation to have such a low MTU value.

  I hope someone here can help me with a problem I have experienced with my computer. My adapter (ralink rt3290) wireless worked fine out of the box for some time now, but all of a sudden I feel a drop of signal strength on the 2nd level of my house.   -J' fiddled with several revisions of driver without end I had similar problems with a card atheros on a Toshiba laptop that has been repaired with a 3rd driver. Currently, I'm on the latest driver 5.025 and fiddled with the settings of wireless network without success. I'll try to run a windows update to see if that fixes the problem.

  -J' opened compartments accessible user on the bottom of my computer (and nothing else) and made sure the antennas are well seated in the card, no luck. Fortunately, I did affect all the components in the process

  -I did not fell, spilled something or manhandled this laptop since I bought it.

  OK, I was using the default windows driver and while my connection is always to 2 bars, my connection has been constant and school drop-outs were not held. So far, it has been difficult to my problem as the ralink drivers seem to cause more problems than they fix. If my connection is still not great... it's there, and so far it works great. I'll check with this topic to see if I put a permanent end to my problem...

  I found that my router restarts automatically.

  I use the Satellite A100-785 PPPoE ISP with WPA/AES encryption enabled on the new MS Vista platform.

  Well, it's strange, but to be honest I n t see a problem with the laptop but with the router. I would recommend controlled again the unique WLan router configuration.

  d. restart the computer and check.
