  About two days ago, I noticed that when I tried to access some websites using Firefox, I always got this error message. "The connection was reset".   I have cleared my cache and cookies, wiped out all browsing history, but the problem persists then I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox and reinstalled. The problem is still there. I'm not sure what the problem is here, but any solution will be appreciated. I have used Firefox for years and I'm really not comfortable using a different browser.

  What security (firewall, antivirus) software do you have?

  Have you checked that your firewall is not blocking these sites?

• Firefox is showing a grey globe for secure site when other browsers show a lock icon.

  We have several sites with SSL certificates. When the site goes into HTTPS, Firefox still displays our pages with a grey globe. Sites (like Amazon) show they are secure with HTTPS pages. Other browsers display our secure pages as they should.

  I am able to preview without cause in this case as a .dwt even with errors.

  What a caching problem in these browsers? Clear the cache of the browser of Firefox (Ctrl/command + shift + R) and see if anything changes.

  Since you are using Windows the easy way much more safe to use an older vulnerable version if you must say a site is to use a portable version of Firefox. The portable Firefox is autonomous and can even be run a usb flash drive. He did not share the profile settings you use Firefox 37.0.1.
