• VMFS does not see the measuring devices?

  I ran into a problem with my ESX 4 deployment.  Recently, I expanded the size of a LUN in my SAN so that I could extend the data store associated with this volume.  The data store recognizes the new 300 GB size (image vmfs_prop), however, I'm not presented with options for a measuring device when I try to 'increase the ability to data store' (image vmfs_increase).  I've also updated the filter of vmfs in options advanced thinking that LUN was already associated with the data store and may have been filtered (image vmfs_filter).  Any advice?

  

  

  

  What I meant with "connect directly to the host ESX (i)" has been to connect by using the vSphere Client. Generally, you don't need to use the command line. Have you tried that before the more command line data store? It does not work?

  I am currently set up with 1 NI USB-TC01 (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/208177), and everything works fine.  My question is, can Labview control multiple TC01s simultaneously or I have to buy the NI USB-9211 has (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/201881#) to manage multiple thermocouple measures at the same time?

  If you use the built in program, it is four devices, if you are using LabVIEW, you are limited to 127 devices.  I don't know if several windows built-in software should be used if you use a LabVIEW.

• Test capacitor does not load when DAQ USB-6221 is used as a measuring device

  Forum of NOR expensive, I have a Setup (see below) which is supposed to read the tension between a capacitor and a resistor in series.  Unfortunately, I found that the capacitor is unable to load completely with the connected acquisition of data entry.  However, if I remove AI0 connection of the circuit and the capacitor charges normally...

  I would be grateful if someone could explain to me:

  • Why this happens
  • If there is a way to change my test circuit in order to fully load the DAQ capacitor is connected

  For reference, I tried to change the position of resistance and capacitor (i.e. initially the capacitor in series), and in this case, the capacitor had no problem charging.  But for my purposes, I will need to test with first series resistance because I already have a lot of maps of test which are built this way.

  The food is set up to provide 75V (the rated voltage of the capacitor) when put on and the current limit is set at 20 Ma.  With these settings my capacitor only charge about 20 or 30 V with DAQ in the circuit.

  You may test the limits of your USB-6221 surge.  I hope that you don't him don't have not damaged.

  You should be able to use some simple resistive voltage dividers for tensions in the acceptable range.  They will limit your ability to measure the leakage current.

• vCenter to migration issues of device 5.5 to 6.0

  Hi all

  My production environment consists of 2 devices U2e vCenter 5.5 (VCSA), one per physical location.  Due to limitations in the VCSA, there is no bound mode, and each unit has its own internal SSO configuration.  5.5, VMware was pushing its customers to use the VCSA and the embedded database.  Given that we were well within the camera and knew it was the future of vCenter, we migrated to it and put the ugly Windows vCenter with SQL behind us-based.

  VMware is said now that they want to vCenter and the PSC on separate VMs/devices.  Oh but wait, if you're on a 5.5 VCSA and want to upgrade, you can pass only to a 6.0 with a built-in PSC.  Once VMware still change my mind.

  In view of all this, what are my options?  Ideally, I would like to keep the vCenters separated on the device, but use a single instance of the CSP in a config HA, use linked modes, etc..  It will not be the end of the world if I have to keep the same way they are now things (completely not separated, no bound mode), but it seems that there should be an easier way.

  I've seen some articles on the creation of a new SSO and pointing to her devices, but those who carried out based on Windows Installer.  I found this article:

  Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

  D: is normally a recovery disc you wouldn't use backup.

  Hello.

  I have a module, PXI-6552.  I need to enter my DUT (ADC) out after a very long and very precise vector sequence.  And I want to loop through this sequence of more than 1 000 times (at the average of the results).

  The following script works:

  script ADCcapture
  generate marker0 of vecsetup (0)
  Repeat 1000
  generate marker0 of vecsample (424)
  end repeat
  end of script

  Here are the sizes of waveform for each wave listed:

  vecsetup = 280 cycles
  vecsample = 262 060 cycles

  My sample = 512 MB record length and the number of records to capture = 1 001

  The first marker in my script is my trigger start for my CQI. session.  The following markers are triggers of the advance.

  As I said, this example works, but the "vecsample" waveform is much smaller than it should be.  It should be 5 times as large, but I don't have a lot of memory.

  Fortunately, most of the 'vecsample' is a sequence repeatedly to keep living clocks (in my example above are just exhaustively written in the form of ongoing vectors).

  I know I can't nest, and I know now that I can't embed instructions more than 55 inside my finished loop (repeat 1000).

  Then, I tried to break my my 'vecsample' signal break up into 3 sections that I could "split the difference" between the size of memory limitations and the script of vector:

  vecsampleA contains unique things initially, including the previous sampling period output ADC.
  vecsampleB contains 1 221 best x of the model 4 time keep alive clock that I need.
  vecsampleC contains unique things at the end.

  Yet once, my record sample length = 512 and the number of records to capture = 1 001

  In the end, this generates the same number of cycles as the previous example:
  1 660 cycles 4 884 * 50 + 16 200 plus 262 060

  However, when I run this new script, I get an error:

  Exception detected
  Detail: [-1074115901] Windows error 0xBFFA4AC3
  Description of the DLL: DAQmx 200316 error has occurred:
  Measurements: Device data precision passing. The device was not able to move data quickly enough to deal with the frequency of sampling for the active script.

  Perform the operation at a lower sampling rate, or are looking for the following in the current script: markers can be too close together, waveforms is too small, wait may be too short or subsets may be too small. If you are using an external clock, the clock provided might have disappeared during your generation.

  State code:-200316

  I've recreated your problem on my side, thank you for the detailed description of your problem, it makes it much easier to understand what was going on.

  Although I'm still looking at the root cause of the problem, there seems to be a problem with the number of orders in the repeat loop. You need 2 less commands within the repeat loop. This can be demonstrated that the problem by moving two of orders outside the loop, keep the same number of lines in the script, but less than two lines in the loop to repeat itself.

  In your case I want to double the size of the vecSampleB and only run 25 times. This should allow you to start going forward.

  With regard to the underlying issue, when I find I'm going you know.

• Feature 'measure' place 7840 Realsense camera does not

  Recently, I received this tablet.  The first time I tried to take some pictures with the camera 3D realsense and then open the pictures with the gallery app, I was able to use the device to measure the distance and it worked fine.  Some time later, within the first day, I went back to the Gallery to try again and the "measure" feature is grayed out. Clicking on it results in this error message: "measuring device will soon be available.  We will automatically update your software when this feature is available.

  Anyone else see this issue?  It seems that something is damaged in the gallery software.  I would like to reinstall the Gallery, but may not know how to do this.  I tried to reboot the device, it did not help.

  Thank you, any help is appreciated.   Kind of a bummer for the "coolest" function on the tablet to stop working within 24 hours.

  (2) clear data and cache.

  Check if your measurement is enabled.

  First of all, I must say that I am really disspointed on Toshiba. They changed the camera settings without ever telling me that. Now my problem:

  My last camera was broken (I do not know, that is). Now, I got a replacement from Toshiba. But the camera is totally different! It is not .mov movie more. Only .avi... I can't watch the videos on my computer or TV or anything else! It is not healthy.
  I bought the camera cause I could easily edit the video in After Effects. Now, I'm back a piece of garbage! Can I downgrade the firmware? I don't want to have motion detection. I just want my old camera back for what I paid!

  I now hate Toshiba. I'll change my camera, if I don't get an older version of the H20. And of course I'll tell, they should never buy things from Toshiba.

• Y510p Trackpad driver issues on Windows 7

  I recently bought a Lenovo Y510p. Soon after receiving it, I wiped Windows 8 and installed Windows 7. I downloaded all the Windows 7 required drivers on the Lenovo support site and install without any problems. The problem I have is that most of the time the driver for the trackpad momentum seems to have issues. Device Manager acknowledges the mouse as a generic PS/2 mouse and the options of the momentum, under control panel > mouse is not CSA listed at all.

  I found a temporary solution to the problem. Uninstalling the drivers through the Device Manager, reboot, then install drivers the momentum of the Lenovo site, then reboot, I was able to get the mouse appears in the momentum Control Panel, where I could finally set my parameters. However, after my next reboot, the mouse was absent from the Panel momentum once more, and now I'm at square. I tried the solution that had previously worked, but I got no results.

  Anyone has any ideas or similar problems that they resolved?

  I run one - SAPPHIRE HD 5450 1 GB DDR3 PCIE HDMI - Twin (DVI & VGA) graphics card

  First configuration - downloaded the drivers from the manufacturers Web site.

  On the installation of what I thought was the at and the latest driver, 2 problems...

  1 - the installation says that I needed .net Dot 4

  Downloaded and installed - Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (stand-alone Setup program)

  2 - the second test video driver installation is finished - but - screens flickered and flashed like crazy.

  I did correct anything that.

  Wiped the hard drive and run through the steps above.

  This time, making sure to use the original cd that came with the card of 2011. Result!

  PS - In the first leg through after installing windows successfully, I did all the updates of Windows 7.

  It took hours to download and install.

  Second time, I did not bother with the Windows updates immediately.

  Next step-

  3 future issues to be covered in the following threads

  (a) preparation of the utility of the technology Intel Management Acive - entirely private or disabled.

  (Do not need or want but hate having outstanding pilot flags in Device Manager).

  (b) the image of the hard drive and train you to restore boot partitions for multiboot Windows 7 installation.

  (c) work on a quick way to landslide-live stream the latest windows updates in the installation.

  Thanks for the help and I hope that some info above is useful.

  Advice on the high road (preferably free) partition SW of imagery to manage encrypted data of the partitions would be a good thing.

  I'm new to Labview, and I make a tutorial learn step by step. I have nothing plugged with the PC.   I have to do this exercise. EX1.

  When I set the properties of the DAQ Assistant (Signal gain > analog input > Voltaje) the message "no device supported found" appears.  I looked on the automation of measurement & > devices & Interfaces and data acquisition does not appear. I read it to appear, but I don't know, because I have nothing plugged, how I said before.

  Hi Joselito

  Since you have the DAQ Assistant, you obviously have installed DAQmx. What you can do then is to simulate a DAQ hardware. Just open MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer), klick "devices and Interfaces" then the button create new marked in the picture below. Follow the instructions in the dialog as apperas. I don't know what card you should use, but any M-series you should see you through. All AI channels will give you a standard sine wave and all lines of DI will alternate between high and low.

• best way to measure the thermistor

  Hello!

  We are looking for a solution for measuring temperature thermistor. I've read the material resources OR recommend for the thermistor measures.
  Can you give me some ideas other alternatives for usable material temperature through resistance (we would use the default configuration, excitation of 2.5 Volts and a resistance of 5 + thermistor). So we need something capable of giving 2, 5V output and to measure the tension caused falling across the thermistor.

  Would be a NI USB-6009 suitable for this task? I guess that the resolution is not enough maybe?
  Another option might be cheaper with a USB-GPIB interface Keithley 2010 multimeter, but in this case what should we use as a reference of tension?

  I want to second opinion to Henrik about repeatability in high resolution.  Measures of temperature with Thermistors are particularly difficult.  You have to worry:

  1. Auto-echauffants because of the power generated by the excitation current
  
  
  2. Time to balance the thermistor and electronic
  
  
  3. Stability of the excitation source
  
  
  4. Stability of the measuring device

  In general, if you want something more than about 1% reproducibility, things start to me interesting.  Of course, it's what makes it fun to do.

  If you go the road of the sound card, remember that while most modern computers have quite high resolution a/d (sometimes up to 24 bits at 96 kHz) converters, you must watch the noise figures to get what you can actually solve.  Off-board solutions (e.g., M - Audio Delta 44) will give you the best numbers of noise, since the ADCs are isolated from noisy inside your computer.

• Asynchronous custom device fails to stop

  While I was developing a custom asynchronous device, I came across a problem with the cancellation of the deployment of the .nivsproj I created to test the custom device.

  The custom device would send the error: -307730 Error Message: NI Veristand: one or more asynchronous custom devices did not close correctly and has been abandoned by the Veristand engine.

  I decided to do some troubleshooting for what could be wrong with the custom device by creating a separate custom device using the custom device model. I left completely intact model and it has deployed to our machine pharlap. When I canceled the intact custom asynchronous device it gave me the same error as above.

  I use Labview 2010 Professional version 10.0f2 development system, NI Veristand 2010 for a complete system of development and deployment of the .nivsproj on a licensed machine Pharlap.

  Zach-H by using simple device custom you provided I was able to create a custom asynchronous device that was able to stop. This allowed me to insert instructions printed in the two devices to help out what was causing the unit to raise an error when stopping.

  The culprit seems to be the NI VeriStand - Get loop Type.vi. The type of loop is never defined in the initialization.vi or the main.vi of the device model tool customized. So, when the RT pilot ran VI.vi the Type.vi loop get it would exit always false for the clock of the device to use and never use the correct name of the device clock. Without the name of the unit's clock he would never get a reason for reactivation.

  I forced the vi to use the clock of the device listed in the custom device model tool and I was able to shut down properly.

  TimothyA, you are right about the features of the measuring device. Even with the error of abnormal termination, the meter continues to operate normally after each deployment.

  Thanks for pointing out the problem with no channel being added to the measuring device. I'll make sure the custom device I develop handles the case where no channel, input or output, are added.
