447983-001 wireless

Can someone give me the part number for the WiFi adapter that works with the 447983-001 motherboard? Please do not ask me what model is the portable, I can't say with certainty. All I know is that the mother is 447983-001 and it does not support the adapter WiFi 407159-001.

Hello

This number is for an Intel motherboard with the Dv9000 series laptops. It should work with laptops series Dv9500, Dv9600, and Dv9700. throw an eye on the guide of service here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01951704.pdf

The 407159-001 adapter does not appear so it won't work. I suggest you take the first listed Intel (441086-00 X) a/b/g/n card. It is a dual-band Intel 4965AGN card and the best card options specified.

Is it possible that the mini-PCI card does not work?

You are the very welcome, John.

If she is not there, then it might actually be one of these possibilities...

    1. maybe you can install the HP Wireless Assistant and see if it shows your card in the program, and he just needs to be turned on with the software button.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-55203-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2093&Product=3686683&sw_lang=

    2. the card is completely faulty and is not seeing the same as installed.

    3. your PC has the same features (nvidia graphics and chipset) as the dv6000/dv9000 notebooks.  He had problems with motherboard dv6000/dv9000 series with this material. Among several things that could go wrong has been done on the motherboard mini-PCIe slot.

You can search eBay by part number, and you should be able to pick up a replacement used but tested and functional real cheap.

You can get a map with this specific part number or it will not work.

Here is a link to several listed on eBay - as low as $4,00

    http://www.eBay.com/Sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_nkw=441090-001&RT=NC&LH_BIN=1

If the replacement of the card works, then you have solved the problem at a great price. If it isn't then you know the motherboard is bad and not worth fixing and you either continue as you are now, with an external WLAN adapter, or spring for a different laptop.

  • dv6119us Broadcom wireless issue

This has probably been answered in a previous post, so my apologies for asking again.

I have a dv6119us with wireless broadcom internal to the pc card.  The wireless card disappeared from my device manager and I can no longer connect to my wireless network.  I have another laptop which connects to it without any problems.

It's the second time this has happened to me, the first time that the pc was under warranty and HP replaced the card wireless free of charge (it was a hardware problem) now I have the same exact symptoms as last time, and I suspect the wireless card has not yet.  First card lasted 11 months before failing, and now the replacement, one lasted about 13 months... GRRRRRR

Is there a way I can confirm the wireless card is turned without having to buy a new one to try first?  Also, if I need to replace the card, can someone tell me if I hae an option to buy another thing another Broadcom wireless card?  When I remove the cover of the card said to replace with HP spare 407159-001 wireless?  I'm looking for just something a little more robust than this card Broadcom even if I have to pay extra for it!

Thanks in advance for the help!

I just installed a number of 517188-001 wireless card in a HP slimline desktop PC. Although it is very close, I get a very weak signal from my router. Antenna will certainly help. What is your laptop? She should have already at least 2 antenna cables. Simply plug the cable in the right place.

Well, your post is the Forum of the laptop. What is the model of your slimline? You need antennas.

You will need a wifi combo card that supports Bluetooth and wifi. Otherwise, your Bluetooth function could disappear from your computer and you must use an external Bluetooth adapter.

  • Upgrade of the HP-7260he wireless card

I currently have the Ralink RT5390 stock wifi card on my HP 7260he 8 64-bit Windows running, and really, I don't like it and am wanting to switch to something like the

Is it possible, or should I just stay with the card stock wifi?

    Thanks in advance.

At some point in the recent past, HP dropped the dreaded wifi Whitelist. Exactly when and on which models we know. Yours may or may not have a white list. Your complete model is Envy dv6-7260he, by the way.

It is the only card dual-band capable of 5 GHz that will work without a doubt, even with the white list. It is a very good card:

    Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN 670691-001

Here, it's on eBay for about $5:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/genuine-HP-ProBook-4440S-4540S-Wireless-WiFi-card-670691-001-tested-/231029129410?PT=US_Internal_Network_Cards & Hash = item35ca68c0c2

You can be our Guinea pig and try the 802.11ac card and let us know if the system starts or if you get the message 'unsupported wireless. You will get all advanatage go AC card without a router AC and even the map above won't help you unless you have a N wireless router broadband 5 GHz. Only bluetooth combo cards that are certainly on the whitelist are 1 x 1 (2.4 ghz only), but people, this would be the best:

Try to extract the exe from another place, not in the temp folder.
In my case, I created a folder on a second partition (D) and have extracted the exe file in this folder. Can go to the Device Manager, and then can install the driver through the Device Manager.
Choose the installation procedure advantage and point to the folder that contains the extracted files.

    With regard to the issue of the BT;
Download the new battery of BT from here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

Then clean the registry using the CCleaner.
This tool is freeware and can be downloaded on several different pages.
So after cleaning check if you could install new BT of the register stack.
