  • External USB HDD 320GB 10 error code

Hi im having trouble with my 320 GB external hard drive I bought about 2 months ago and has worked very well to the top and up to now, where it seems to want a driver who I was not provided with the hard drive because it is plug-and-play and does not connect to my computer just returns the error code 10 on all my computers can someone help me find this driver or help me with this problem out as I noticed many people seem to happen with the 250 GB and 320 GB hard drives at the moment?

    Hello

You suggested that this drive worked properly.
One question; have you used the option to remove USB device?

Sometimes the USB could not recognize the USB device because the device was removed without using this option.

Maybe this will help: go to Device Manager and remove the USB ports. After restart of the operating system to reinstall the USB ports. Then check if the USB HDD works.

Dell Inspiron 15 HDD 2000-01 42 error code

A few weeks ago, my laptop was working fine but the next day, my laptop wouldn't pass the Dell logo when turned on. I ran diagnostics on it and gave me the following results:

    Test results: Fail

    Error code: 2000-01 42

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me exactly the problem with the HARD drive, I need to replace, or there may be a wiring problem?

    Thank you.

Error code 2000-0142 indicates a failing hard drive / has failed, you can try to remove and reinstall the hard drive, and then re-run the diagnostic tests and see if you receive the same error.

If the same error is received, the hard drive has failed and you need to replace it, followed by reinstalling windows, then loading the drivers and applications.

  • 0xC004C008 - Windows error code is not enabled (PC, same, but different replaced HDD)

Hello and I hope you can help me on this one.

I wrote a previous question on the manufacturing/copy original image while simultaneously making a boot device because my HARD drive is dying (clicking sound) on me and want to transfer to my new HARD drive.

I managed successfully the image and install windows and Samsung from components (for example, recovery, etc.) to my new HARD drive, but there was a problem that I have met/summer guest on.

It was on Windows not activated, asking me to activate by buying a new key.

    0xC004C008 error code

Clearly, I have the same PC with the same parties and other with the exception of the newly replaced HARD drive.

I plan to re-upgrade to windows 8.1 but I felt that this error can cause another big error on my Samsung series 3 laptop.

Is there a way to fix this, or do I really need to buy a new key (I think a scam because I just replaced my HARD drive)?

Hope someone can help me with this problem.

    Try the phone activation:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

The option of Start Menu does not list even a HARD drive - it lists only the DVD player.

F11: System Recovery - goes back to the same boot disc failure... screen

The pc was purchased in 2008.

How the hell did the average person knows how to solve this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a problem with the drive CD/DVD like HERE there are several different drives / Firmware on the driver of the BIOS page here check to determine which drive you have. Or, if you have another computer with a disk that you can use temporarily to try to recover? Doesn't even have to be installed, I simply hooked up to a DVD player for cables and used.

  • Hall 20: Error code 0q 0000185

There is a 0q 0000185 error please help, I couldn't start my computer anyway please help me.

    Thank you for the update.

That error code indicates a failure of the hard drive, which normally means a replacement drive is necessary. However before you, power down the system and try to remove the hard disk and then reinstall it. It is always possible that there is just a bad connection.

If there is not a change, so if you have an external drive Bay, install this hard drive (probably faulty) and see if you can access the content using another computer, for data backup purposes.

If you have another HDD compatible, which install in the Hall 20 and see if the same or similar error was, if it is then the issue is most likely something to do with the motherboard. You can expect an error starting, or any type of operating system of the message, unless this drive has an operating system already installed.

If the drive works, then you can use it, or get another drive to install to. To start, you will need either a set of recovery disks or a retail OS installation disc any. If you have not a a set of recovery discs, you can try to get them from HP.  Computers HP - get HP recovery disks or HP USB recovery disc

A final option according to comfortable how you feel with no matter which of the methods I mentioned, would be to check with the HP support by phone for repair, if necessary. In this case, please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. If you do not live in the United States / Canada, please click on the link below to get contact information for your region. http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-phone-assist.html

I experienced the same on a newer Toshiba laptop. While I could not find what was the definition of the error, it is related to the hard drive boot sequence, or its absence.

How I fixed it, it was to start a disk utility and format the HDD. I had already made the recovery DVD discs and backup data, some of which may not be able to do. After that, I was able to run the system recovery without this error code.

  • The configuration of your Pc startup data is missing or contains errors: 0x000014c error code

    Hello

See if any body can help here... I get this blue screen:

    ************

    RECOVERY

Your PC needs to be fixed:

The Configuration of your PC startup data is missing or contains errors.

    file:\\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD

    Error code: 0xc000014c

You will need to use the tools of recovery on your installation media. If you do not have any installation media (like a disk or a USB device), contact your system administrator or the computer manufacturer.

Press ESC for UEFI firmware settings

    ******

First of all, I could enter option 11 and run the factory reset, I was so happy because I thought it won't be easy... but then after I did the factory reset... I get this blue screen. If I press ESC I get into this next screen:

    F1 system information

    F2 System Diagnostics

    F9 boot device Options

    F10 BIOS Setup

    F11 recovery system

    ENTER - continue starting.

This is what happens when I click on one of these options:

F1, I enter the system of information without any problem, then I click on to continue and return to the screen last... so I press F2 and super, I'm able to run the Test of memory and hard drive check 100% without any problem in one of those who, after that I'm done with my tests I press exit and I'm back to F1 , F2, menu etc... now I want to try F9, F10 or F11. disappointment in this option 3 I go back to the blue screen described at the beginning of this post. (I already plug in a USB key with a bootloader, which works perfectly)

so I can't do anything, nothing at all! crazzines.

So what I did to check why I can't enter BIOS or at least to boot from my USB... I removed the lid of my laptop botton and removed the hard drive and is then, how I was or I am able to log in the BIOS - I made the changes to start USB first, then the HD and that's how I was able to boot from USB - BUT if I connect the hard drive back I'm not able to enter the BIOS or boot from USB - so basically I'm stuck in this blue screen and I can't boot from a USB key, if I connected HD... I can't use any option... no BIOS, nothing... So yet again, I disconnect the HD.

    This is one:

    HP ENVY Sleekbook TS 4

If you can't access BIOS with the HDD connected, you certainly won't be able to start on the recovery USB. This is indicative of a failing hard drive.

Install a new drive hard and then start on the recovery key.

  • Pavilion dv6t-2000: Post recover process reimage disk - windows update error code a 8024, 000

    Hello

After replacing my old HDD with a new SSD, I successfully used my purchased 1 & 2 recovery discs to reload Windows 7 x 64.  Now, I am able to connect to the internet and navigate through Internet Explorer, but I can't get Windows Update to work.  I get this error: Windows Update 8024A 000 error Code.

I researched and found this fix:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-update/Windows-Update-error-code-8024a00...

However, after you follow the steps to stop services, rename the specified files, register the dll, and then finally to leave the services, I'm still having the problem.  I also ran a utility "fix" looking for issues with the Windows Update utility, it has been correctly executed and said it solved the problem, but the problem persists.  I get more a 8024, 000 of the error, but the update still does not work.

I don't him have not yet tried this, because of the weather, but will plan no later than today:

In safe mode, access c:\windows\ and rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution.old.
    OK and restart.

I also tried to upgrade to the latest version of the Windows Update utility which has as well.  I can install other applications (e.g., Norton anti-virus, java, adobe flash player) without problem.

I noticed that I have not installed ServicePack 1, I did before as I have reimagee my computer. I need to install this first?

Anyone has any ideas, or did I miss something?

    Your help is appreciated!

    Thanks, Orrin

I was able to find a solution to this problem.  It is a problem with the HP recovery disk image.  It does not correctly install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver.

To resolve this issue, go here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20868/RAID-Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver-for-Intel-Desktop-Boards

Download and install the version appropriate for your respective operating system.  As soon as it was installed it fixed my Windows Update doesn't work not, error: 8024a 000

    Thank you
