Yes, you can. I highly recommend you use synchronization and configure the SQL service to stop (before synchronizing).

    Concerning

    Swami

First: toshiba DOES not support any operating system server on their machines. You know the difference between a * LAPTOP * and a * SERVER *?

If you know where is the difference so you can answer yourself why toshiba gives no support in this sense.
The other point (to come to the technical part), is that you can probably install Windows Server 2003 on your computer. And you can search for drivers. But no one here could give you assistance, you´re completely on your on. (And NO, it has NO official connection :/)

  • VMware Converter error - error Windows 2003 Sp2 to 95%

I am new to the world of the virtual machine and converted several machines without problem, but I have this error Windows 2003 Sp2 and it is very furstrating.  I use VMware vCenter Converter Standalone 4.0.1 on the computer itself on a local drive and from another machine on a network share.  Looking through the log, I found the following: "taskSpec, task taken 357 an exception in the meantime on the agent task ends." Collecting newspapers to the officer before reproducing the exception more. "Exception message: converter.agent.internal.fault.PlatformError ', but don't see anything else of interest.  I could really use some help with this one.

Then, I would try with Converter 3.0.3

can you put the source machine boot.ini file?

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated I have a quality assurance team to test the 2003 64 bits and at the present time, they are unable to do so because they do not receive an IP address from the scope of the Labmanager.

    Thank you

    Nadine

    You are missing something:

    C:\sysprep\i386\$OEM$

This file should be present in the directory SYSPREP on the Lab Manager, if not, then something is missing.  I believe that Lab Manager that creates during Setup, but you can do ths following

First of all, we need to make a folder path that looks like this

    sysprep\Win2k3_64\i386\$ OEM$

In the oem folder, make a txt file named:

    Cmdlines.txt

Open the file and just put this in it:

    \[Commands]

    'TAG_RUN_CUSTOMIZATION_EXE '.

This should replicate to have the correct file:

    C:\Program VMware Lab Manager\Tools\CustomizeGuest\Windows\Sysprep\Win2k3_64\i386\$OEM$\cmdlines.txt

(Note that your way this may differ on the Lab Manager server)

Once this is done, you will need to rebuild the sysprep packages before deploying again.

Note, you will need to each sysprep folder path too.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it's showing as unallocated, but because it's a system (C:\) drive I can't extend it by using Diskpart utility I can do for other readers.

There are different ways to do this for Win 2003 (easy in 2008, has expanded in the GUI). For Windows 2003 you could close the virtual machine, get the VMDK on another Windows Server, use Diskpart or another tool to extend partition here - since it is not the system partition / boot. Then mount it in the original virtual machine.

Official VMware training, they recommend a free tool from Dell, called extpart.exe. Simple tool command-line which allows to extend the system partition / boot when the virtual machine is running. Check it out and try if you wish.

It is on the FTP of Dells site at ftp.dell.com/app, any logon not required.

It will not ping the local gateway by default.

Looks like at as soon as its connection of RRAS establlished something that happens on the local subnet.

My laptop will not connect to my wireless adsl modem even not wpa or wep password is enabled on windows server 2003.

    Hello

In my opinion, you should try to establish the connection on how best without passwords or the firewall settings. This device is not supported for Windows 2003 server and it is not possible to find a driver designed by Toshiba.

In my opinion driver designed for Windows XP Home edition should work too but try to identify what WLAN card is registered and check if you can find a real driver of the site s manufacturer.

If you are able to see your network, but it can not be connected, check the WLAN settings.

  • Need help in the migration of windows 2003 server Oracle database server 2012

    Hello

My environment is oracle database 9i in windows server 2003, we want to move to Windows 2012 since the end of support for windows 2003.

Please give me a plan, what no need to make the first database upgrade or upgrade of windows, what are the things will have to be considered at the level of Oracle database?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Lherault

    Hello

Given the version of your database is 9.2.0.8 and you want to upgrade to 11.2.0.4 and 9i database is running with log mode archive

    I have plan.

    (1) your database 9i working with the log mode archive Server 2003

    (2) you can take backup of Database 9i with RMAN

    (3) you can restore the backup to the base in 2008 (by using 11.2.0.4 software)

    (4) when the recovery is complete, you can open the database with resetlogs option upgrade.

change the upgrade of open database resetlog.

    (5) once the database is open, you can run 'Upgrade PROCESS'

    (6) it should complete your upgrade in 2008

If you think, restoration and recovery will take time, so you can install physics Eve with 11.2.0.4 version in 2008 for the Database 9i.

During failover, you can recreate the controlfile and open the database ' change the upgrade of database open resetlog. "

you will need to check the compatibility with the help from under documents

Hi all, I tried everything I can think and not achieved anything so far.

The problem is I'm trying to convert a physical machine Windows 2003 x 64 Std, a virtual machine. The conversion right, when I go to start the virtual machine, it acts as if no disc is present.

I tried to do a repair, but either the driver that shipped with Windows does not work, or all the others I could well via google and research forum do not work either. I downloaded the latest driver from LSI and were now sitting in the "Setup starts windows" for more than 40 minutes.

What should I do to get this working VM? We run VI3.5 U2.

Thanks for any help yoou can provide...

We have VMWare Converter Enterprise 3.0.3

Have you also tried version 4 of the converter?

You use for your source machine? Or from another machine?
