5.5 upgrade fails with "Please disable the Profile Manager.

I'm upgrading from 5.0 to 5.5 on Server R2 2012 but the installation fails with the error "Please disable the Profile Manager before upgrading".

I have no idea as to what "Profile Manager" this refers. I there is no tasks or services of this name and 5.5 installation guide does not mention a Profile Manager.

That will probably be a face-palm situation when someone pointed out the obvious answer, but I'm currently at a loss.

I finally found the answer. The Profile Manager is part of WDM but toggling it is not intuitive for me. For anyone else having the same issue, the answer is in the Administrator's Guide. There is a shortcut for the answer, here is a screenshot of where to find the setting.

  • Backup failed with error 18: the backup drive is not found

    Hello

My guard time capsule saying "Backup failed" for a few days and I cannot access the old backup files either (when I enter my time machine it shows 'today', which is kind of scary, although I know that my old files is still there). I tried many ways to trouble shoot this problem, but none of this has worked. In my opinion, it's more a network problem and I made sure I connect Wi - Fi even my time capsule created.

    So far I have tried:

-Delete the files from my internet (com.apple.airport.preferences.plist; preferences.plist and NetworkInterfaces.plist, etc.) and restart my mac

-Remove TimeMachine.plist and restart my mac

-Hard reset of my time capsule. Went through all configurations with success but then still backup missed (I hear the running time capsule when it is by train).

I share this time capsule with my wife and she has no problem with that.

I can only think of a possible alternation I did which could cause this problem.

Because of unstable WiFi problem, I had deleted

    com Apple.Airport.Preferences.plist

    com.Apple.Network.identification.plist

    NetworkInterfaces.plist

    Preferences.plist

or other files and reboot my mac * before * I had this problem with time capsule.

However, this is not the first time I do it, and it wasn't a problem before...

This could be the reason? If so, how to restore the network settings?

Please help me with this problem. Really appreciate!

    Ted

    Hi gurus,

I install Oracle server from the center of the 11.1.2.0 on the Windows 7 team productivity. I have JDK 1.6 update 21 installed on the same machine. I follow the steps below in the command prompt:

    1 set JAVA_HOME = C:------"Program Files (x86)"\Java\jdk1.6.0_21.
    It works very well.

    2 set PATH = C:------"Program Files (x86)"\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\bin;%PATH%.
    It works very well.

3 java-jar tpcinstaller.jar from the directory where the .jar file is downloaded
It failed with the following error:
PTC-90010: Installation failed. Please see the system log.

I googled the Web and also searched this forum so that documentation, couldn't find any help.

One may have come across this error and his work is autour.
Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

You can remove the double quotes of the values for 2 environment variables?

    Use them instead:
    JAVA_HOME = C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_21
    Path = C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\bin;%PATH%

If that doesn't help, use a folder that contains without parentheses to your JDK.

How can I disable the color management in my Epson Stylus Photo R1900 printer? I use the Epson laetest driver, I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 and I'm on OSX 10.5.8.

    Thank you

    Joe

If you select "Photoshop manages color" the Epson R1900 with the commune 7.0 Updater installed on top of the 6. something driver automatically disables the printer color management.

If for any reason any it is working properly, the R1900 user guide is available online. Page 28 and 29 of this guide shows how to turn off the Epson printer color management.

  • How disable the buttons 'Delete Proflile' and 'Rename Profile' when the Profile Manager opens at startup?

I have multiple Firefox profiles for the various people who use my computer and I'd hate for someone to accidentally delete my profile when you go online. Is there anyway I can disable this key at startup of Firefox and just work when I open the Profile Manager?

I was originally going to just to give everyone their own Windows login, but it is easier for me to do only in this way. Help is appreciated.

Ignore the Profile Manager by making a shortcut on the desktop for each of these profiles. You should learn to do it now, because the Profile Manager is likely to remove Firefox pretty quickly. My guess is in Firefox 9 or 10 at the end of this year or early next year.

  • How to remove an application from a device with the Profile Manager?

I use iOS devices 9.1 in collaboration with Apple Configurator 2.1 and 5.0.15 Profile Manager. Configurator locks iPads and the Profile Manager is used for the distribution of applications. We are assigning apps in device that is a great feature. However, when I delete an application from a device with the Profile Manager, the application does not remove himself. The Profile Manager back the license and I can redistribute app for iPad one another even if the application is still installed and usable on the iPad first.

Is this a bug? It seems that it should remove the app. If I delete the management profile in distance from the unit, it removes apps.

Click on the gear box and then delete Apps and select the application you want to remove.

Initially, I did what you did probably has been to select the name of the application, then press the 'less', who pulled out of the app in the list, but it has not removed the iPad, he just removed their license.  Through the gearbox and to remove it it removes of the iPad.

You may have already thought of it, but I found this post unanswered after two months, and once I found the answer, I thought I'd put it here.
