  The following steps can help (try again after each):

When I woke up this morning and tried to unlock my phone using the key ID, my phone (iPhone 6) requested a password, but it requires a password 4 digit.   It seems that your iPhone is asking for a password instead of the 6 digit code 4-digit, sure you set it and now you are unable to enter the password required to unlock. The options you have for restoring your device offers the following Knowledge Base article:

  If you have forgotten the password for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or your device is disabled

  If you enter the wrong password to an iOS device six times in a row, you will be locked out and a message that says that your device is turned off.

  Choose a way to erase your device

  Unless you make a backup before that you forgot your password, there is not a way to record the data on your device. You will need to erase your device, which erases all your data and settings. Choose a way to erase:

  • If you have synced with iTunes, use iTunes.
