5130 BIOS A07 draining battery DVP11 life?

Everyone knows of battery drain increased their 5130 DVP11 after updating the BIOS A06 A07? I went from battery drain of 1 to 2% in sleep/wake with A06 7 to 10% of the brains with A07. -Woody

Please do not take account, at the same time the A07 upgrade, I also installed Lexmark printer drivers who had his own lxeb called the service running. When I stopped this service, the battery drain appears to have normalized.

  • E6420 - Bios A07 - false positive diagnosis - Lcd Cable

    Hello world!

I found a weird bug with update bios A07 on the E6420 (i5 - 2520 m). The utility disgnostics report "error Lcd 2000-0415. When I return to A06, the problem disappear.

Anyone can repeat this mistake? I had opened a case to replace my lcd cable and I will contact Dell to cancel the replacement of the cable. But if no one can repeat the problem may be that the cable is really damaged and better A07 bios detects it.

I have no problem using the computer.

    Thank you.

There is a long and a short version of this... As I understand it, Dell has implemented a change to the hardware level allowing the cable test for the work they have released newer versions of systems and enabled in the BIOS.  For systems with the old cables, it always generates a false positive.  It is not an error in the BIOS, it's just this test is not supported by the hardware you have.

Yes, I suggest to make a back-up first and install the latest OS for your device (from your carrier). Once installation is complete give 1 or 2 days so that it can be fully synchronized.

    Keep us informed.

  • Watch the OS 3 drain battery quickly

Since the update shows OS 3 last night, the life of my watch battery drains ridiculously fast. Every 20 minutes, I witnessed a battery drain for at least 4-5% without use. It's even worse when I use the app to training. I turned off refresh in the background app and the problem still remains. I also tried to restart the phone & shows as well as some non-matched and restored from backup. Still nothing.

    Hello

Battery life varies depending on use and other factors.

During tests, for example, Apple has reached 18 hours of battery life with the next use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of usage of the app and a workout of 30 minutes with Apple Watch Bluetooth music playback.

As you have already tried disconnecting and rematching that progress of your watch, the following can help:

    • Find and install the updates that are available for third-party applications on your iPhone and watch.
    • Check that you do not have a workout running or suspended in the integrated training application.
    • If you already have (not necessarily only recently) already used any third party fitness, followed applications such as Strava to Records workouts on your watch, check on your watch to see if there is currently activity paused in the any of these applications. If there is, put an end to this activity of this application on your watch (not on your iPhone).
      • If in doubt, it can help to remove this any application of third party fitness of your watch.
    • Under earlier versions of the software, some users have reported problems with battery life in the framework using profiles and/or Exchange calendars. If you use an Exchange calendar, can help to one or more of the following:
      • Check your Exchange calendar for all items before today.
      • Delete / delete all old messages related to the prompt calendar Inbox (accept and refuse notifications).
      • Create a rule in your email account Outlook moves future all accept and reject responses as they are received, in a separate e-mail folder that will not sync with your iPhone and Apple Watch.
      • Consult your Exchange calendar to find errors.
    • Finally, it can help to remove all third-party applications on your watch and then monitor the performance of the battery after you have added back, one at a time. It is the same regarding complications of watch face.

After trying the above steps, if your watch continues discover much shorter battery life than suggest examples of Apple you should expect, contact Apple support (mail service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation in order to have your watch checked, if recommended by Apple (warranty, if it qualifies):

  • battery low life iphone 5s

I got an iphone 5S for 9 months and the lie of the battery is really poor, it takes about 7 hours with minimal use, so you can not had our during a full day without the battery running out.  I went to the Apple store and they ran some tests and reset the phone again, but it did not really help.  What are my options?

Applications running in the background are probably the cause, sometimes get-Mail stuck connecting to the mail server, or some social media like Facebook app can also be a reason for the extended background activity.

Again put the phone back to factory settings, without using backups or 3rd party applications installed, manually configure the personal data and the test battery life.

If he is back to normal, restore FRO the last backup again.

  • Low battery T430s life?

    Hey everybody,

I opened my new Thinkpad T430s return on 4 January and have done the research/fact of many attempts to try to maximize my battery life, but still, I can manage only barely 2.5 hours on parameters very, very cautious. ... Is this normal? I sure hope not. My specs are:

    OS: Windows 8 64

    HARD DRIVE 320 GB

    1440 x 900 HD + screen

    Intel Core i5 3320 M

NVIDIA NVS (optimus?) 5200 m Graphics (1 GB of video ram)

    Intel HD graphics integrated 4000

    Machine model 2352CTO

Do I have a bad battery, or it is more plausible that my computer is down? My battery is a Sanyo FRU 45N1037. I'll admit that I got my bios for "only integrated graphics" as a.) I don't know how and don't want to screw up my computer and b later.) I thought what to see in Windows 8,'s done it for you automatically. Pu on a jury I've seen this option when you scroll a little back of certain parameters of the system.

Clearly, with only 2.5 autonomy MAXIMUM, with a battery 6-cell, ultra-conservative settings, battery stretch activated, etc., something must be faulty, such as the battery. Right?

This could be the case if you're running Windows 8 with nvidia optimus works.

Go into the bios of T430s and under the integrated Intel GPU graphic switch and see what happens.

Win 8, my T430s with i7 + Integrated GPU became just about 2.5 hours of battery life, which is very short.

  • End of drain battery Dell place 11 Pro

I had been post in a different thread display freezing, but I tell myself that it is a different question although it may appear on the screen that is draining the battery.

So, here's my problem.  Whenever I leave my coming Pro 11 i5/128 GB/64-bit/Office 2013 go to sleep (power button / stop, timeout or close the lid on my mobile keyboard), it seems that the system goes to sleep - screen goes black.  However, when I open it up, I finally see that the 3 to 6% per hour battery is drained. This seems too much.  If I turn off the power instead, near 0% is depleted by next time.

I started with the affichage.3316 driver and I tried to upgrade vers.3345, but it doesn't seem to help.  I also checked the BIOS - "A05".  I am more that willing to run some test is necessary to diagnose, but not sure what to try.  Here's a 'powercfg /sleepstudy' newest sleep cycle.  As you can see, the family Intel Graphics device is 100% active during a connected sleep cycle.

Also, I noticed that sometimes, the fan turns on when he's asleep - I know that this thing can be power hungry.  Can anyone help?

Okay, maybe to something. I have the latest version of the O2 Micro installed driver that retains its identity in the Device Manager. This is the version 3.0.8.34 A03 (Dell driver #4Y1R8). This driver is installed instead of the "SDA Standard compatible SD Host Controller" which is under "Intel (r) 8 series PCI Express Root Port #4-9 C 16".» The controller will now appear in "Storage controllers" category as "controller of BayHubTech/O2Micro Integrated MMC/SD", and my SD card shows as a "SD SCSI Disk Device' in this.

The performance of the Audio driver may or may not be related, so I'll include the fact that I unpakaged the latest driver Realtek HD Audio 6.0.17399 A03 (47P 33) manually using 7 - zip as it was the only way he would unpack the actual driver files and install correctly. So I mentioned SD card driver above installed as well as the latest Audio drivers installed. The new audio drivers run processes less and less startup item, which certainly can't hurt things.

I stopped the O2FLASH service and set its startup type to manual (for disabled people is probably fine too). I'm not sure it makes a difference, but I don't see that it does not seem to affect the operation of the SD card at all.

The first test shows that the percentage of low power HW State is now of the order of 98% for the first time in my history of sleep study! All others are virtually zero. I just ran it for 20 minutes connected standby, but it is a great result! I'll let it run for long standby periods and let you know how it goes.

If you can or can not duplicate these results please let me know. There may be other factors in how I configured the computer that could play into it. However the changes I mentioned are those I've done between sessions on standby with status of low power 0% and now 98% material. I'm cautiously optimistic! :-)

  • The fan works like a crazy and super fast drain battery after installation of Sierra

I installed Sierra on my MacBook Pro, the fan works like crazy and the battery is empty after about 1.5 hours. Which never happened before. I'm only using Safari and Mail in the moment. I talked to Apple Support and they suggested to reset the SMC, but this brought no improvements. What can I do else? Again, I plan to install the El captain...

I had this problem just after I installed Sierra on my MacBook Air.  First I tried to reset the SMC and the LANDAU.  This does not prevent fans constantly in the course of execution.  I then used the activity monitor to see what was possibly strain my system.  I noticed the "DCs" process was always sucking up to more than 90% of my CPU usage.  However, others said that it is normal after an upgrade of the OS and it should fall back down once the computer finishes its initial picture and analysis of the files.  So I run my MBA plugged nonstop for 36 hours in a row and the fans just kept running so that the process of "DCs" continued to drain at > 90% of CPU usage.  I also looked carefully at the activity monitor and saw that tasks such as analysis of photos had their own separate process "DCs".  So I dug further into what the devil "DCs" was really do with a lot of CPU resources.  Long story short, I found that there is some glitch in Sierra which causes the macOS stuck on a process involving the keychain and iCloud.

That's what I did to fix this keychain/iCloud which led to "DCs" fans of triggering and overloading the CPU to be always on:

-In the activity monitor, I used Force Quit to kill the process that involved the keychain

-In the activity monitor, I then Force Quit the process that involved icloud

-In activity monitor, I finally Force closed the process "DCs". (I found that I could not simply force quit 'DCs' without first allowing the keychain & iCloud first)

-After all, I restarted the computer and fans were finally off the coast!  I open the activity monitor and saw that 'DCs' has is no longer hogging up the CPU usage.  Photoanalysis process were still running in the background at 40-50% CPU use with no trigger unwanted system fans.  the iCloud synchronization and my keychain also worked very well.

I'm finally able to use Sierra without my fans blazing out of control.  It took me a while to get this sorted out.  Hope this helps to save you a few headaches and time until Apple can get counts that there is this Sierra software glitch they need to address.

  • iOS 9.3.5 drained battery

I've updated the 4S of my wife and my own SE for this latest version. The next morning, the two phones have completely drain the battery.

    Is this related?

Both phones are very little used. My wife phone normally last 3 days & my SE 5-6 days. Both had about 70% charge when updated.

If this battery drain continues I'm back out the update.

I have the same problem on my self. I've updated, went to sleep and the next morning, it was completely empty. Now, I have it on battery saving mode, and he would still (in 4 hours, I do not use it at all, and none of the applications are run background for sure) from 100% to 49%. Once in a while it is still warm. I can not use it even now as the battery drains within a few hours on the stand, cannot even imagine what happens if I use it. It's crazy and frustrating!

  • mdnsd in FF42, now drains battery fast. Is there a solution?

Galaxy S5, Lollipop 5.0.1. Confirmed that, when 42 FF or FF Beta is installed, mdnsd process starts, and suck down the battery life. Phone went from 17 to 20 hours on battery to 4, even if FF is not running.
Verified that uninstall FF gets rid of mdnsd and restores the battery to normal.

    Gentlepeople:

The problem has been recognized by the development team (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1215012), was beaten in and is now fixed.

Firefox for Android 42.0.2, currently available on the Google game shop, has no problems with the mdnsd and works like a champ.
Thanks to all who contributed to this... And increased stress so it was fixed before the next major release.
(By the by: as discovered by developers, it was in the next major release...) But no more.

  • Drain battery/CPU Safari on El Capitan? (2013 retina MacBook Pro)

Recently, I noticed my retina MB Pro 2013 has worked a bit warmer than usual, and when I check the process it seems as if web content safari uses a lot of CPU.  Moreover, when I check the impact of energy, web content safari appears to use a large part (99 +).  It's even when I'm on simple Web pages, such as this one or google homepage.  I tried to delete the caches and reset PRAM and SMC, nothing helps.  This results in significantly reduced battery life and life while they inspected the power in the information system, much of the energy consumption (values of my to--1500 to 2000).   The Estimator gives me an estimate of less than 4 hours when fully charged, when I'd get easily 7-8 before what is going on has begun.  I noticed that when I boot on a guest account, resource consumption does not seem to be messed up like this and Firefox power impact seems to be normal.  Any ideas?
