This is the Broadcom W7 driver that is bound to the 550-000 series support page.

It seems terrible old for me that is why I didn't post it.

This package provides the driver Broadcom Wireless LAN (WLAN) in the supported desktop models and operating systems.

File name: sp68997.exe

If this does not work either I suggest to reinstall W7 because all experimentation driver you have probably messed up the registry.

Check the hardware ID of the device with the taken ID's supported by the drivers that I posted.

The one I posted is supported by models with the following ID as set forth in the driver installation information file.

; x 64 (AMD64, Intel's EM64T) - Win7
;
[BROADCOM. NTamd64.6.1]

    Hello.

    I have a HP Pavilion a6857c PC.

Just formatted my original OS vista and installed XP Professional with service pack 2.

I got nice eveything and drivers running, all the light, monitor, and sound.

I connected to the internet via an ethernet cable.

My problem is that I don't see a connection without wire or wireless driver installed.

On my vista, the pilots were:

-Module of Dualband Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless network

    -Realtek RTL8168C9P) / 8111 (p) d\family PCI-E gigabit ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)

    From now on XP, I

    -1394 network adapter

    -Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

What should I do for my wireless works on windows XP?

    Thanks for any help!

    Marceli

A latest driver to try. Uninstall all software and drivers Atheros you see in Panel, add & remove programs first. Download the file and save it. Unplug the ethernet cable and restart the machine. Then run the downloaded file.

  • Sierra Wireless driver problem

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my T60.

I downloaded and installed every recommended driver for Windows and Thinkpad, and I keep getting a warning "found nerw material."

I can't no matter which driver to work, and uninstall the device does not work... it keeps coming back.

What can I do to get this problem go away?

    Thank you

    John

I installed all the files recommended by the Thinkvantage system. I found the problem. This driver does not automatically install as all the Thinkvantage software. This requires that track down you the installation folder and run a file that is stored there. After loading it works fine. I'm not clear that this Sierra Wireless driver means anyway. My wireless was working fine without it. Thanks for your help. John

I saw on another forum that this laptop has perhaps not an inside broadcom wireless adapter at all, maybe it has something to do with driver problems?

You can try to install the Atheros driver which is here.

  • 15 - r210dx: Wireless driver problem

My laptop comes with windows 8. But I wanted to use windows 7 64 bit which I'm more comfortable with it. I used diskpart and erase all the data and then converted the HARD of GPT on the MBR disk. • Edge E320 - wireless driver problem

Just receive the boss a new computer laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E320, abut Win 7 Pro on a clean install as usual, although Win 7 captures not many drivers automatically, so I had to download, which was very good...

However, when I restart, the Wireless driver seems to change / fail, still shows as "Intel(r) WiFi Link 1000BGN" in Manager devices, but watch with an exclamation point...

I tried reinstalling the driver, but after a reboot, it happens again...

If anyone can suggest a fix for this, I'd be eager to try it!

    Hello

I was already using the latest version of the driver...

I solved this by running again the driver installation, but by choosing repair - all sub-options have been barred, so I enabled those and the installation was completely different and has worked...

  • HP Compaq Presario CQ61-355SQ - wireless driver problem - need help

    Hello

First of all, I would like to thank all the people posting here some very interesting information on installing the drivers under Win XP. You do a great job!

I followed the steps described in the guide and I arrived to install most of them (chipset intel, nvidia graphics, realtek network card)

The only problem I have now is with the WiFi card driver intel. From here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Operating-systems-and-software/General-XP-Downgrade-Guide-for-HP-Laptop... I tried this:

Intel Wireless, (Note: MS Windows Installer 3.1or later, must be installed), here

and he did not sense that accrued installers ok but nothing happened, in Device Manager, no change has been made. After that I tried the method with 'Have disk', I chose in the list and tried some of the drivers, but in Device Manager it says that the "device cannot start".

    What could try then?

    Help, please

Is that what you have installed MS Windows Installer 3.1?

Indeed you have intel wireless, try sp45837, here

    Hello:

It seems that the hard drive has failed, must be replaced and reinstalled OS.

If you use recovery discs to reinstall the operating system and the software that came with your laptop, you can buy a hard drive of the same size or more large storage capacity, such as the one you currently have.

The hard drive in my HP Touchsmart tm2-2150us failed recently, and I come to him took over and did a new install of windows 7-64 bit. Hello, I want to get the ram dedidcated to my graphic card of 256 and its 128 right now. Ive read in another post on the forum that it would be better to get another (goo.gl/Z4F0f1). I was wondering what would be the best video card to get for this need.

    @ShepardPotato, welcome to the forum.

The problem that you have with the upgrade the video card is the power supply unit (PSU).  It's only 180W.  Most new video cards require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  You should check to see if a stanard ATX PSU will enter in the space provided for the existing power supply.  If there is enough space, this power supply should work.  You should get this one measures of the plug.

When you upgrade the PSU, here is a video card that will make what you need.  If you need more information, you should contact the manufacturer's Technical Support.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.
