• VSphere network interface driver 5 news of Emulex?

  I've got 8 new HP BL490c knives with Emulex Flex10 network by using Virtual Connect cards.  Network adapters don't work at all, of THE LEAST NOT reliably, with VirtualConnect and HP said there is a new driver coming out of VMWare soon and it will be benet2 version 4.0.355.  HP said it is in the phase of certification and it'll be on the 4th quarter sometime.

  Anyone know when this new driver will be available?  I'm a little surprised that HP does not come with their own driver as they have in the past.

  I have a serious issue here after the upgrade of the HP Blade 465 BL c G7 with adapter Emulex NC551i double Port FlexFabric 10 Gb..

  The problem: after the successful online update of ESXi 5.1 Update 2 Patch 5 (2000251) in ESXi 5.1 update 3 (2323236) the ESXi server cannot be crazy, or it can ping to the outside network, so she doesn't have to reconnect to the VCenter server.

  Software/Firmware version:

• ESX 5.5 Update 1 and 2 adapter 534FLB HP FlexFabric 10 GB ports

  Anyone know if the HP FlexFabric 10 GB 2-port 534FLB adapter supports 8Gb Fibre Channel? For some reason, I can't get this map appears in VMWare as a Fibre Channel over Ethernet storage card. I installed using custom HP image and assured the latest firmware and drivers have been installed. HP blades that have the 10 GB 2-port 554FLB adapter HP FlexFabric all appear correctly in VMWare.

  Just spoke with HP again. It seems that our sales and support people have different information. Sales staff indicates that the 554FLB and the 534FLB should work the same, but support says that the 534FLB only supports FCoE. If we want native CF, we need to return to the 554FLB.

• Satellite P10 - 554 dvd - ram does not work

  Try to remove the drive from Device Manager, and then shut down the laptop.
  Usually after restarting again the operating system should recognize the drive again.

  I have checked the HCL, forums, Emulex site and cannot find information on thw Emulex OneConnect Océ 10100. That's what shows the OneCommand Manager. I'll have to try the command line and see if it gives the same info. My dilemma is that the customer has much 710 Dell with this card. I can't find on the HCL, it causes the locking of the VM and host in the character of hardware iSCSI, but works with the iSCSI software. The path to upgrading to vSpere 5 may have problems, and if it is not on the HCL, VMware will not support.

  Any help on identyfying this map or insight is appreciated. Attached SS

  Hello Savoie,

  The adapter of your Emulex UCNA 10100 reference's name instead of the brand. The actual adapter model would be OCe10102-IX for FX for FCoE or iSCSI, see attached picture of VMware HCL. By the looks of it, the image shows you use Emulex vCenter Server plugin and it seems that the firmware of the adapter is an old version 2.103.397.3455. I would say to update your firmware to the 4.0.360.3 and VMW drivers to answer some of the questions your experience with your VM. Regarding the way to upgrade to ESXi 5.0 the screenshot shows also support using the latest drivers from the VMware Web site. If you're still expericing problems contact Emulex support and they will take care of you.

  I was watching the forums and came across your question. Ask yourself if you have solved your problem of port when you use plugin manager of OneCommand to vCenter Server? I have seen that HP has two downloads for the fw updates. For now, the last FW update to CN1000E is 4.0.493.0 March 12, 2012. Call the Emulex support if you experience problems when you try to update the fw with the Emulex OneCommand Manager application or the plug-in. But just make sure you are tested and approved HP FW by downloading the files from their site.

  I also have a map of network Broadcom NetXtreme ii 5709. I found drivers for ESX 4.0 but have need to stay with 3.0/3.5 from my disk server has some compatibility issues.

  Is there a way to install drivers in a different formats I found (zip, tz, etc.) or which could be the best option.

  Instead of trying to find the drivers for the NETWORK adapter (which might even cause problems), I recommend that you are looking for a network card that is supported.

  In most cases, it is "cheaper" than having possible downtime caused by network problems.

  Yes, it's a separate network used only for traffic management between ESXi hosts and vCenter - it is also the network used to connect to the environment - that's different, then the network used by your virtual machines
