  OK, now for the problem. I tried to print a PDF doc. The graph at the top of the doc printed on the light side, but the text does not print at all. I noticed that the ink levels were low, then bought new carts. Installed the carts, run printhead cleaner, good result mine. tried to print same doc, with the same results. Reinstalled the software on all computers, no luck.

  From what you described, it seems to me that the black ink is not working. All black, you can see on pages that are feeling is probably a composite black made up of 3 colors. I can help you with this.

  Please use the solutions proposed in the following document; Printer cannot print black ink or color ink, or prints blank Pages.

  I have a 1518ni Laser Jet CP which has been installed on our network of Windows 7 (64 bit) for several years and has worked flawlessly.   In recent days, it is no longer prints any text.  I deleted the printer, re-installed with the latest driver and run the HP doctor.  All shows 'good', but even the test page is without text (the only thing on the test page is the Windows logo in the upper left).  This action or inaction occurs for all printing if I try to print from the internet, a word or pdf document.

  Just bought HP Envy 5660.  Menu assistance has not helped me.   I want printing and copy to print in draft mode.  Is there a way to do this by default for print and copy?   I can change the mode when you print a document, but do not know how to do with the copy.  I would like this to be automatic, without making any changes for each document.

  I think you need to press on copy, then small logo copy the settings (like a toothed wheel). That will make appear the menu copy settings, and you can click on 'quality '.  You should then have the choice of the best, Normal and project.

  Follow the steps below to automatically print double-sided print jobs:

  In the file being used to print click the file menu and select print.
  NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Press show details to show all available print option.

  In the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
  NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

  To select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
  Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

  Select layout from the drop-down.

  Set the duplex option as the binding edge (Portrait) Long or short edge (landscape) bond.

  You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

  You can try this if you want to keep the dpi of your system at a higher level, but if the size of the text in firefox is still lower that she was treated before the update:

  I bought a HP Envy 5660 printer. After installation and setting up of an email etc., I realized that it did not support my camera memory stick.  I returned the printer and bought a different mode, e 6520 HP all-in-one.  I uninstalled the 5660 envy.

  I always continues to receive a message from microsoft update, and of course if I do, it fails. I am not tech savvy so I need easy instructions.  How can I stop getting messages to update?  I would like tio get to my 6520 new but not the envy of 5660. I would like ideas, that someone has.   I want to take the time to thank all of you here to try to help me solve my problem. I had done the uninstall, etc and still could not get rid of the update message.  somehow or other, today, I was doing other updates of windows and started perusing the menu troubleshooting.  I found a link saying: "I get messages from update for the items that I already uninstalled.    clicking the link for the updates you choose one you do not envy, then right-click, and then click Hide update, then click OK. It worked to get rid of the update message.  Maybe help someone else out there.

  I have two boxes of paper HP Everyday Photo 4 x 6 or 102 x 152 mm, which is about 1/8 "long to fit the photo paper tray in my Envy 5660 printer.  Is there a way to make this work without having to cut each page?  Why HP would sell photo paper that does not fit their printer?

  Yes, I am aware that I can print 5 x 7 or 4 x 6 in-tray, but as this printer has a tray of 4 x 6 I have to try to use it. Unfortunately, the Board does accept papers whose length is 152mm or 6 "I can't use a HP product that says it's for this purpose.

  PROBLEM SOLVED: I'll cut it to fit and buy another brand.

  Personally, we have tried to use the roofing material you have posted, but it was printed on a portable printer (HP Deskjet 460) that has a different paper path than Envy 5660.

  The 5660 uses a path to the document of U and there might be a chance that quilt paper may jam.  (the mobile printer is the papr path)

  I am helping my daughter with the installation of the printer and want to activate the Wi-Fi direct option. All the literature says this option is available on the Envy 5660 printer but I can't seem to locate. The only Wi - Fi option is to connect to an existing network.

  Solved my problem. The instructions I've seen showed a Wi - Fi Direct connection as a topic in the network configuration.  My printer has an icon in the main menu. Maybe an updatedversion of utility software.

  1 when was the last time it was working fine?

  2. do you get any error code/messages?

  3. what version of the Windows operating system is installed on the computer?

  4 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

  5. did you check the black ink level?

  I suggest to check the settings of the printer and make sure it is set up for photos and text. You can also clean the print head and check. Check the manual of the printer for the same thing.

  If that is not enough then you can uninstall the driver , and then install the latest driver on the manufacturer's Web site.

• HP Envy 5660: KP want 5660 will not print envelopes

  I just started to try orint envelopes, but my printer HP Envy 5660 of four months will not be printed #10 or other envelopes.   Machine prints letter size and scans OK but no joy with envelopes.  The value wraps #10 and the loaded paper envelopes.  printer starts to take the envelope then freezes with a "thud" sound and displays the following error message:

  I re-downloaded and installed the latest version of the HP 5660 software, still no joy, as above.

  I thought about it!  HP will be happy to lnow that the problem was not with the printer HP 5660.  It is with my need to learn how to configure Word 2003 to print envelopes with this printer.  After several visits to help offline in Word 2003 is included on my machine, I have found how non-intuitive to envelopes that run with the 5660.  It evolves your envelope and the graphics setting in tools/Word/letters and direct mail/envelopes and labels/add to the document and then saving them as a Word (.doc) document.  Then, to get the envelope to print, load the envelopes into the printer, then press file/print and then (totally intuitive) configured to print the "current page" or page # 0.  For successive envelopes, you edit the address if necessary in the Word document and then file / print... again.   It seems to work like a charm!
