5700 sucks not start windows cannot use recovery CD

I have an Aspire 5742 running Windows 7 Home Prem

When I try to start windows I get a message from windows Startup Manager

File: \windows\system32\config\system

Status: 0xc000000d

Info: Windows does not load because the system registry file is missinig, or corrupt.

All the information I found about it says to boot from the cd backup and restore. But does not start the rescue cd. It is to the top of the same screen as above. I used a Live CD from another operating system to test the dvd player and it works and LiveCD boots (I have not install anything). How can I get the live cd boot and restoring windows?

Thank you Tim

Hi all, I need your help

first of all sorry for my English but I'm from Greece. I really don't know a lot about the mobile only very basic computer.

I have a hp envy 17 3d 2080en with windows 7 Home premium which, after overheating, chips to the motherboard. I ordered and installed a used motherboard from China (part 630793-001 hp number).

After that I tried to start the laptop, but when he opens he said probably due to the change of the material he cannot start windows normally. After reading a lot on the internet, that I tried using the recovery DVDs I had prepared before the problem, but they will not start just yet. Then, I tried to use the cd system repair but again no luck.

I looked in the bios as some people say on the internet and realized that the product number and serial number are different from those of my laptop and it's maybe part of the problem, but I don't know. I looked in other posts about similar problems, but did not get a definitive answer and this is why I post for your help.

    Thanks to you all

WITH THE TATOO (COST US $ 40), THEY WILL REPLACE THE NUMBER OF BAD PRODUCT AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER WITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE NUMBERS AND YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVED. MY MOTHERBOARD HAS BEEN FRIED TO OVERHEAT AND I BOUGHT A USED ONE FROM CHINA. AFTER I REPLACED IT THE LAPTOP WOULDN'T START AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO REPAIR DVD HE OR EVEN THE USE OF RECOVERY. I CALLED HP SUPPORT, I EVEN JOINED THE HP FORUM TO ASK FOR HELP AND I GOT ONE EXPERT WAS USUALLY TRY THIS OR TRY THIS. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. FINALLY, I READ AN ARTICLE FROM THE INTERNET THAT EXPLAINED THAT WHEN YOU CHANG THE MOTHERBOARD / SYSTEM BY ANOTHER THEN THE BIOS REFERS TO THE NEW PRODUCT NUMBER, MOTHERBOARDS AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER AND THIS WAY THERE IS INCOMPATIBILITY WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW WINDOWS TO START, YOU CAN NOT REPAIR WITH SYSTEM REPAIR DISC OR IT DOES NOT PERFORM A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALLATION OR A RECOVERY CD/DVD RECOVERY. • Satellite M30-107 does not start successfully after using recovery disk

    Hello

I recently got my hands on a toshiba Satellite M30-107 laptop second hand and decided to freshen it.
I used the toshiba recovery disk, but after that the laptop is no longer support windows.

When turned on it shows booting Toshiba disc for about a second then goes to a screen blank and freezes.
When turned on, once again, a screen will appear an error by stopping and offer the opportunity to start in SafeMode etc but choose one of the options causes the machine to freeze.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

Sounds a little like the laptop does not start because of the problem of Windows software
You did not recover the M30 with the original Toshiba that was provided with this device M30 recovery CD?

I may be wrong, but to me it looks like a recovery CD incorrect has been used and an image with drivers not compatible m has been installed

You can try to install the OS of Microsoft Win XP original CD and could check if it would be possible to get the notebook ruin using own BONE.

In this case we (you and me ;)) might know if this problem could be related to hardware or software.

    Good bye

  • When I try to turn on the Windows Firewall, I get a sign message that says "Due to a problem not identified, Windows cannot display the firewall settings."

When I try to turn on the Windows Firewall, I get a sign message that says "Due to a problem not identified, Windows cannot display the firewall settings."

I found another thread in Microsoft Answers relating to this problem, but who said to go into Services and see if the firewall is configured to automatically start.  However, I can't find a Windows Firewall item in the Services Menu.

I have the PC Tools Spyware Doctor antivirus.

I had to do a complete recovery system... which sets just need to make sure that you back up your files.

  • "Due to a problem not identified, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings" when you try to change the Windows Firewall settings.

    Original title: WINDOWS firewall

I GET A MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE THE WINDOWS FIREWALL SETTINGS - "DUE TO A PROBLEM NOT IDENTIFIED, WINDOWS CANNOT DISPLAY WINDOWS FIREWALL SETTINGS. HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

IN ADDITION, I USE AVG INTERNET SECURITY 2013 AND THAT THE FIREWALL IS ENABLED AND I SEEM TO BE PROTECTED.

Documentation AVG Internet Security 2013 States:

    Recommendation:

Generally it is not recommended to use more than one firewall on a single computer. Computer security is not enhanced if you install several firewalls. It is more likely that some conflicts between these two applications will occur. Therefore, we recommend that you use only one firewall on your computer and disable all others, thus eliminating the risk of potential conflicts and problems related to this.

You can read the AVG documentation by clicking on this link, and see section 6.5:

    http://AA-download.Avg.com/filedir/doc/AVG_Internet_Security/avg_isc_uma_en_2013_06.PDF

So, if you are using AVG firewall, it's wise to just disable the XP firewall for more than a firewall running at the same time can lead to performance problems.  Choose one or the other, but not both.

I thought installing AVG would understand this by itself, and you know what to do (used to) but I do not want to install AVG to see.

  • Re-install Windows 7 using recovery media (DVD)

    Laptop: HP-430 Notebook

    OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)

    HARD DRIVE: THE 298 GB

When I bought recently my laptop HP-430, I partitioned new HARD drive using some other third party software. I created an additional partition (M:\). Here's the info, how I've repartitioned...

    C:\ - 100 GB (changed from 284 GB to 100 GB).

D:\ - have not made any changes.

    M:\ - 184 GB (created a drive by myself).

Then after a few days of testing purpose I thought using the Recovery Manager. So I run the Setup and chose the first option (System Restore) who says he will only reformat the drive (C:\) system and will not issue any other HARD disk changes. But to my surprise it deleted/reformatted the HARD full disc, and I lost all my documents, music, photos and all my important files, I recorded/saved on M:\ (that I had created...)

Can someone tell me why the hack happened...?

So now, next point. After that the Recovery Manager has restored the operating system, I repartitioned again, but this time with the Windows disk management tool. But the Windows disk management does not shrink (resize) the C:\(Systemdrive) of less than 150 GB. So I resized C:\ to 150 GB of GB 284 and created a player more (M:\) 147 GB size. And I deleted the recovery disc (D:\), but I created the recovery DVD before you remove the Recoevery of my HARD disk drive.

Now its time for me to reinstall Windows 7 using recovery media, I messed with some system files when installing a theme for Windows 7 and now my OS is completely unstable. So now I want to reinstall windows 7, but I do not understand what option selected in the Recovery Manager (when run from Recovery DVD)

Options displayed in the Recovery Manager

    1 collect using Microsoft Recovery

2 recovery system (the option that I had chosen for the first time and got all the stuff removed)... He said that he only reinstalls the OS and custom make any other change of HARD drive.

    3 minimized Image Recovery

    4. factory Reset.

So now my question to you guys, it's what option do I have selected in the Recovery Manager so that all my saved content and my stuff on M:\ (I created) will not be removed... and the operating system is reinstalled.

    PLIZZZZZ HELPPPPPPPPPPPP...

    Hello

I don't think that all the disk recovery options will keep your partition custom - as far as I know, the only time where you will receive a prompt to keep a custom partition when you use the option "Recovery of Image is reduced to a minimum" to the recovery Partition D that you deleted.

You can try the following workaround.

Download the good Image of disk Windows 7 from the link below: it must be exactly the same version your OEM Setup - that is to say if your laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, it comes to the version, you must download.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.

Use the disk that you create to perform the installation - when you get to the option to choose the installation type, choose custom and select the C partition.

When asked, enter the activation key Windows located on the underside of your laptop, then when the installation is complete use the 'method of phone", described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just that a new installation of Windows 7 without software load additional normally bundled with OEM installations.

Additional drivers, you may need to find from here.

    Kind regards

  • My office is behaving strangely, slow, sometimes does not start Windows.

    * Original title: strange

OK, so I have a desktop with Windows 7 installed above as my users families. My family tends to put viruses or other forms of malware on the desktop as they constantly plugging their friends drive etc. Last week my office just behaved strangely, running slow, sometimes not start Windows and even run checkdisk on each reboot. I have however to discover the reason for all these questions, because it turns out having a Trojan horse installed on the desktop computer that allows a hacker to access my PC remotely. AVG detects whenever I had scanned my office but unfortunately the Trojan horse is just renamed and removed to another place when detected. Last week I did a new install of Windows 7 and everything worked fine until yesterday. I noticed that AVG was not updated yesterday. I first tried to install what AVG but was unable even to reinstall AVG.  I didn't realize that once I have turn off the Windows Firewall I can install and update AVG without a problem. However the firewall Windows has not prevented never AVG update or install in the past. I thought it was a form of malware, the origin of this problem, but after the start of the HBCD and scan with malwarebytes and also to scan using Kaspersky rescue disk. I have not found a malicious software. Even my windows laptop 8 I have no problems updating and installing AVG, while Windows Firewall is enabled. I really believe that it's some form of malware with managed to bypass all virus scans. Please give me some advice and let me know what is the problem and the solution. Thanks in advance

It has been long since I had no faith on average. :-)

Use the removal of AVG on this link tool to completely remove AVG, following the installation of Microsoft Security Essentials here ...

In addition, pull it out of Windows 8 and leave Windows Defender to take over. You will have less problems you get with AVG. There is no need to install MSE in Windows 8, as it's already there...

Only thing you can do is to let die and then hold the home button when you plug it into your computer to put it in recovery mode.

Actually if the phone is on and that you have an icloud account, you can delete it at distance of icloud.com

Go to find my iphone and erase the phone.

  • Windows does not start after you use vaio recovery

I tried to reset my computer to factory settings and programs. I used the for Vaio recovery tool do. During the course of my computer restarted as it should. But as Windows was returning back I get an error of "Windows Boot Manager" say a file called ntoskrnl.exe was missing or corrupt with status 0xc00000e9 upstairs he provided a way to fix: cannot start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause for the problem:

    1. Insert your windows installation DVD and restart.

    2. choose the language settings, click Next

    3. click on repair your computer

After step 3, the repair tool said that it could not solve my problem.

I tried to redo the recovery twice for nothing doesn't.

I tried to use the memory diagnostics.

I tried to change the default BIOS settings.

I tried to use the chkdsk command in the console installation disc

    I don't have a backup disk.

You could try System Restore option under the recovery tool if startup repair option has not resolved the problem. After the execution of the Image recovery system on your VAIO computer and you still have the same issue, then you may need the recovery disc. If you have any errors after the diagnostic equipment, then the recovery partition was damaged already.  You can buy the recovery disc for your computer of Sony parts and accessories or parts distributor authorized Sony.

  • Cannot start Firefox using quick launch, etc. Window of Firefox (or anything else is not started. Now using IE (Ugg)

I'm unable to launch Firefox launch button using / fast, Start Menu, or anything else, don't get no error message or of the Firefox window. Tried to uninstall and install then always without success. Cannot use the fix suggested to use a new profile because I don't get a Firefox window. Have a HP with Vista, RAM 2Gigibites, computer Pentium processor.

Like you, I found I couldn't yet launch FF28 and therefore could not try to create a new profile or add ons disabled.

Taking the advice of another poster and completely uninstalled FF28.

Then went to the site of the beta:

    http://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/beta/

Installed FF29 (currently 29.6) and had no other problems.

She's still all extensions / add ons I have tried to run with FF28 but opens and runs without hassle.

Can only assume FF28 had some problems for some operating systems that are not there in FF29.

  • Windows Vista does not start after you use the Hp Recovery Manager. What should I do?

I used Recovery Manager to reinstall Windows Vista Basic 32-bit. During installation, it shows 0% completion although at the end it says everything is ok. After clicking on the button finish, he starts up the Recovery Manager again asking if I want to recover Windows. If I choose the Cancel button it restarts with the same Recovery Manager screen. What can I do?

You can call HP technical support at 1-800-474-6836. Or you can give your product number, not the serial number, and I'll try to send you the link to order yourself.

  • Windows will not start and cannot enter the safe recovery mode

Had a blue screen and when I start Windows wants to run in safe mode. But this takes place for a few seconds and then stops with a blank screen (this is for more than 2 hours).
If I choose to start windows normally the system reboots just to repair windows screen.

I'm not a Windows vista recovery disc has been pre-installed. Clues?

    Hello

The reason is that Windows bootmanager or system files are corrupt. You say that you did a recovery disk, but what image of hard drive recovery (by pressing F8 at startup)? If it is already deleted, you must:

    1. order the recovery disk https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx Note, it is not free
2 a copy of Windows vista and install it. Then, download all the required drivers and enjoy.

    Welcome them

  • Hard drive does not start after the use of the recovery on USB Manager

The hard drive on HP G62t - 350 CTO Notebook to my newphew failed. I could create a USB recovery in the Recovery Manager. I installed a new 120 GB SSD. The original hard drive was bigger, do not remember now but 250 or 500 GB. I know that the recover the system after the hard is replaced (Windows 7) said "to avoid problems, install a hard drive as big or bigger than the replaced hard disk", but that's a question for later.

Computer started fine of USB (in fact, is set to boot from USB if present by default). Recovery Manager starts. I choose minimum installation. He goes through the process of partitioning the SSD and copying files. Said so to remove the external media and restart, the computer will restart several times during the process, blah, blah, blah. I get out of USB and restarted, but after POST I get "no bootable media present.

If I try to reboot, leaving the USB in, it starts in USB and that we are at the beginning. I am able to confirm with a rescue disk, the SSD has an NTFS partition that had Windows files copied to it and a large amount of unallocated space. (Something like 60% / 40%).

    So:

    1. How make bootable hard drive for, and if it was bootable, recovery processes complete?
    2. What is happening with the partitions? He creates the partition recovery first, and then after the start, the recovery partition installs the operating system? If so, I might have to give up this process because since I'm moving to smaller storage, I don't want to devote half of the drive to a recovery partition.
    3. Official recovery media help? A technician told me that he would do so, but couldn't explain to my satisfaction why the USB I created with Recovery Manager does not work, so I'm suspicious of the assertion that the media created by HP as opposed to media created by me using the own HP software would be better, and since the computer is under warranty I don't want to spend $30 + to find out.

Most of the people who have installed an SSD that was smaller than the reader of the factory were unable to use any medium recovery HP with the SSD.

I get the error code. 1075 and the msg (windows cannot start (ICS) internet connection sharing service). I tried to replace registry files, I tried the system restore, I tried to change the permissions, I tried to turn it on manually, I've updated my BITS. Ive also ensured that the dependent services are running. According to my list of component services, they are... Nothing works. I need to format the HD for this problem or is there a standalone windows firewall available for download?

Thanks for posting. Please note that the use of system restore after infection and removal of malware very probably re-infected your computer. Please follow all instructions on this thread HERE. Let us know the results.
